Southeastern border of Jagun.
Winter has arrived again in the small town near Lukang.
This is not good news for coastal residents who rely on fishing for a living all year round... The fish will swim south throughout the winter. If the weather gets worse and it is difficult to go out to sea, the income for many days will probably be affected.
Ordinary residents do not have enough savings to spend, and if they are late by just one or two days, they may not have anything to eat for one or two days.
That's not a pleasant feeling!
What’s even more terrifying is encountering gloomy weather, which makes even going out to sea a problem, not to mention other things.
Usually at this time, fishermen have no choice. Instead of enduring their wives' nagging at home, they might as well go out and spend the whole day in the bar, or even spend the night. At least when they get home drunk, they won't hear those words...
The rain began to spread along the coastline.
As someone who has been running a tavern for half his life, Soran is already familiar with everything here. He can even tell whether there will be business today by looking at the weather. Seeing today's weather, he knows that many customers will come and stay late.
I looked at the cups placed behind me...
I guess I should also take out the things I don’t use often, so I can take them out during this period!
Soon, the first customer arrived.
Soran looked up...
Old friend.
"The weather is bad today. I hope it doesn't spoil your mood." Soran smiled and placed a cup on the table.
Everyone in the seaside town would know each other if they stayed there long enough. Soran already knew what kind of wine each person liked. He first poured half a glass for the other person, but the man in front of him seemed to be in a bad mood.
"I've been affected for a long time!" The man took a sip and angrily banged the table.
This kind of thing was also within Soran's expectations, so the wooden wine glasses were used at the beginning!
"It seems that you are in a bad mood today, my old friend." He poured another half glass.
Just drink it silently.
The man didn't slow down until the fourth glass of alcohol started to make him feel dizzy.
Looking at the scene in front of me, I began to feel dazed...
"I say, brother Sauron. Your tavern still smells so bad!" After drinking a few glasses, the man began to feel like talking about other topics.
It was still early, and since there weren't many people in the pub, the two of them had a chance to chat slowly.
"Isn't it always like this? Let me guess...you must have been kicked out by your sister-in-law again today?"
"Humph, that old woman, I should have listened to my sister and kicked her out long ago! She has been eating and living at my side for all these years, and now she comes to complain to me every day about this...complaining about that...and she even wants to buy a house in the city to do business. Bah!" The man was even more angry when he heard Sauron talking about his wife.
"My sister-in-law seems like a nice person. She doesn't seem like someone who likes to complain so much."
Soran put down the wine glass he was wiping, his eyes fixed on the wine in the other person's hand.
Almost there~
It was good enough at this point. The remaining glass was enough for him to drink slowly until the evening. Otherwise, he would owe a lot of money for drinks like before and would not be able to pay it back.
"That's just what you see. That guy is best at disguise, dressing himself up like a lady. He walks like this... like this..."
The man began to twist his body comically to imitate, and in the end even he couldn't help laughing.
"She's not destined for that!"
"oh?"
Soran deliberately took the drinks behind him and would not pour more unless the other party paid. A normal person would only spend three or four glasses, and if he drank more, he would get drunk, and then he would be hard to get rid of.
"Brother Sauron, why don't you pour the wine?" the man urged.
"The weather has been bad recently and the roads are blocked. The merchants who came from the city to deliver wine haven't come for a long time, and the wine I brewed myself is almost finished." Soran then made an excuse.
And at this moment another person came in to the tavern!
Still an old acquaintance.
"Long time no see, brother Soran."
"It's been a long time."
The two of them exchanged greetings, and even the drunken man sitting at the bar suddenly greeted the newcomers...
The town is really small, so many people know each other.
"What are you doing lately?"
"It's still the same old thing about salvaging seafood, but there's not much profit... This horrible weather is driving people crazy!" said the new man as he sat down.
Gave the money first.
This is the rule for most guests. You can only drink if you pay. Usually, the first guest is the exception. So many people are willing to come early, but there is always someone who arrives earlier than themselves!
"The weather is indeed unfriendly. I hope the Sun God will bless us and ensure that we have a good harvest in this difficult winter." Soran also imitated his father and prayed.
"By the way, have you heard about what's happening in the east lately?"
The new man suddenly changed the subject.
In this secluded town, the roads are not good, and most people are lazy and spend their whole lives wandering around the nearby villages. A lot of news can only be learned from passing merchants or arriving mercenaries.
"What is it?"
Soren and the drunk man both moved closer.
"There's a ghost appearing on the eastern coast. It's really weird!"
"ghost?"
"Yes, it's a ghost. It's the evil creature that the bards talked about being everywhere." The man spoke mysteriously, making the two even more curious.
"In the East?"
