Chapter 121 The world was shocked when Bodhi was picked up!

Chapter 121 The world was shocked when Bodhi was picked up!

Frost Door Temple.

The most famous thousand-year-old temple in Hangzhou is also a well-known Buddhist resort in the world.

Its name comes from a poem by the Buddhist master Jingnian.

"The bright moon shines through the cold temple, and the mountain monk closes the frosty door."

The first abbot of Frost-Fei Temple took his name from this poem and originally wanted to name it "Moisture Temple", but was strongly dissuaded by other monks, so he had to change it to "Frost-Fei Temple".

After nearly a thousand years of development, Shuangfei Temple on Daxiu Mountain has become quite large.

There are more than 300 halls, terraces and pavilions in total, and the long courtyard wall stretches halfway up the mountain. On the largest "Buddha Wall", there is a huge golden Buddha character engraved on it, which is more than ten feet high and seven or eight feet wide. Every night, it will light up with golden light, which can be seen for more than ten miles.

People walking on the official road at night cannot see the outline of the mountain and the temple in the darkness, and can only see a huge "Buddha" hanging in the air.

People who see it for the first time often mistakenly think they have seen the Buddhist paradise in the West.

This was also Li Chu's first time here, and he slowly walked up the mountain along the stone steps.

Shuangfei Temple has always been very popular, with people going up the mountain in long lines. Today, when the notice of parents and children looking for their children was released, many families who had lost their children came to claim them, crying and bringing their children home.

A couple who went to the mountain to pray for a child didn't know what was going on. Seeing this scene, they couldn't help but marvel, "Nowadays, temples give birth directly?"

Li Chu arrived at the temple and asked the monk who was guiding him where the monk Shenmu was. The monk immediately led him to the back of the mountain with great respect, pointed out a mountain road, and asked Li Chu to go there by himself.

Monk Shenmu had a high seniority in the temple and was a very fierce person, so all the monks, both above and below, were very afraid of him.

There was a heavy waterfall in the back mountain. When Li Chu arrived, he saw the monk Shenmu under the waterfall, punching and kicking under the huge impact. The dragon tattooed on his back shone brightly in the sunlight, as if it was about to open its eyes.

Every movement was accompanied by the sound of wind and thunder, as loud as a bolt from the blue sky.

He had sharp eyes and when he saw Li Chu coming from afar, he jumped out of the river.

His true Qi turned and water vapor instantly rose up. He then put on a monk's robe and walked over calmly.

"Master Xiao Li, you're here early. You haven't had any rest since you went back." Monk Shenmu greeted him warmly.

"Master Shenmu is in good spirits." Li Chu responded with a smile.

"Haha." Monk Shenmu laughed twice before asking, "Did you get the things?"

"nature."

Li Chu nodded and took out a very worn booklet from his arms. It was quite old. On the booklet were written a few big words: "Learn the Iron Shirt in Thirty Days".

Iron shirt?

Monk Shenmu was puzzled for a moment.

Of course, he had heard of such a common name, but he had never practiced it...

There was no other way. Given the status of the Frost Door Temple, it was impossible for them to teach their monks this kind of training. The physical training techniques they had learned as children were all Buddhist teachings passed down from generation to generation, such as the "Golden Body Technique to Subdue Dragons and Tigers".

However, considering Li Chu's terrifying strength, Monk Shenmu felt that this secret book must not be that simple.

You can tell from the appearance alone, look at this secret book, it’s so... tattered.

As we all know, the more broken the secret book is, the more powerful it is, right?

In comparison, my copy is so exquisite that I am a little embarrassed to take it out...

He took out a thin book with a brocade cover. The pages were not flippable, but folded. Once he opened it, he could see clearly that the inside was not made of ordinary paper, but specially treated silk. Even after hundreds of years, it would not decay at all.

When Li Chu saw it, his eyes lit up.

My previous thoughts were still conservative. The materials of this secret book alone, no matter what was on it, were worth at least several hundred taels of silver.

"This is a small Bodhi mantra that our temple obtained in exchange for Buddhist teachings from the White Dragon Temple. It just meets your requirements and it does not belong to any secret supernatural powers, so I took one." Monk Shenmu introduced.

"This spell has many benefits, but it's a little difficult to practice. But your comprehension must be quite high. It takes an ordinary person a year or two to practice, but I think you can master it in three or two months."

"My iron vest is easy to understand. You should be able to understand it after reading it." Li Chu also mentioned.

Li Chu took over the "Small Bodhi Mantra".

Monk Shenmu took over the "Learning the Iron Shirt in Thirty Days".

Both sides felt that they had made a profit this time.

"Very good. If everything goes well, we can continue to cooperate in the future." Li Chu said before leaving.

"good!"

Monk Shenmu nodded heavily.

As soon as Li Chu's figure disappeared, he couldn't wait to sit on the ground, opened the book "Learn Iron Shirt in Thirty Days" and read it carefully.

But as he read on, his expression gradually became a little strange, uncertain...

Huh?

When Li Chu returned to Deyun Temple, he saw Wanli Feisha wearing an old Taoist robe, helping to greet pilgrims and clean the courtyard inside and outside, looking very energetic.

And his face was full of smiles, and it didn't look like he was forced at all.

He nodded secretly. The master was indeed amazing. He could make a disciple of the Demon Sect become so sunny in an instant.

I don't know what magical method was used...

But with Wanli Feisha moving in, the fox girl and the little koi, the rooms in Deyun Temple are a bit stretched. It seems that it is time to expand again. Anyway, there is no shortage of money now, so this time the expansion will simply be a little bigger.

Thinking of the scale of Frost Shell Temple just now, Li Chu couldn't help but feel a little warm.

Unfortunately, Shilipo is still a little small...

Returning to his room, he opened the book "Small Bodhi Mantra" with great anticipation and began to study it carefully.

There are not many words, but after reading it, Li Chu was actually a little shocked.

It turns out... the use of power can be so delicate.

Compared with this, the "secret books" that I had practiced before were too crude.

This small Bodhi mantra can be regarded as a relatively famous mantra in Buddhism. Its main purpose is recovery.

That’s right, it’s the edge that Li Chu is missing…

Using the benevolent and harmonious power of Buddhism, you can stop bleeding, remove stasis, remove toxins and calm the mind, promote circulation of Qi, nourish the skin and relieve constipation...

In short, it has many benefits.

However, having many functions often means mediocre results.

If it is a minor injury or illness, a photoshoot will cure all diseases. If it is a serious injury, it can only delay the recovery but not cure it.

It's the kind of thing that... you can use it to take photos at any time, but in a life-or-death situation, it probably won't save your life...

After reading this, Li Chu was reminded of a strange thing called "Isatis Root"...

However, Li Chu was still somewhat excited. After all, this was his first time coming into contact with Buddhism...even magic.

To put it in a broader sense, this made him understand a way of using power that was completely different from before.

Seals, mantras, divine thoughts...

It might be commonplace for other practitioners, but to him, it is still quite a strange existence.

Even this simplest one.

Close your eyes and meditate...

Holding a small Bodhi in hand.

Recite the Bodhi Mantra aloud.

God’s will is Bodhi.

Bodhi is in my heart.

A golden light passed through his fingertips and instantly enveloped the entire room, quickly growing to a scorching level, as if Li Chu was holding a small sun!

Yunfu Temple, the Pure Land of Southern Heaven.

As one of the top five sects among the Twelve Immortal Sects, Yunfu Pure Land is undoubtedly the most coveted existence for Buddhist disciples all over the world today.

There is even a saying that "Buddha is in Lingshan Mountain and Dharma is in the south of the sky."

This day.

Suddenly, everyone in Yunfu Temple heard the sound of an ancient bell ringing for no apparent reason!

clang--

The sound of this bell is different from the ordinary morning and evening bells. It is deep, long-lasting, heavy and solemn, and carries a powerful force that cleanses the soul!

Like a ripple, it instantly swept across an area of hundreds of miles!

This sound came from somewhere in the temple.

A handsome monk in a moon-white robe slowly opened his eyes.

These eyes were calm, yet seemed to contain endless divine light, the depth of which was difficult to describe.

"easy?"

Someone called him from somewhere.

"Here I am."

The Yuebai monk responded, stood up and took a step forward.

After taking a step forward, he appeared in a quiet Buddhist temple.

This step has no distance.

There was an old monk sitting cross-legged in the temple, wearing a golden cassock with jewels and precious stones, which was extremely luxurious. He had a pair of long eyebrows, thin cheeks, and a solemn face.

"You said last time that it would take forty years for the world to have a second arhat," said the old monk.

The Moon White Monk smiled and said, "Don't worry."

There was a slight pause.

clang--

Another bell rang!

"Ah?" The old monk was a little surprised, "There's more?"

It seemed to confirm his words.

clang--

A moment later, another bell rang!

After a long time, there seemed to be no more sound, and the old monk breathed a sigh of relief.

If the Dharma bell rang again, he would stand up and kneel down.

"The Dharma bell rings for only three things."

"The Buddha came to the world, Bodhi taught the Dharma, and Arhats attained enlightenment."

The old monk pondered and said, "The Buddha's coming to the world is just a legend, and we don't know. The Bodhisattva has not preached for ten thousand years. It is common for Arhats to attain enlightenment, but it is usually only once in a hundred years. Today, there were three consecutive bells..."

The Moon-white monk looked into the distance and said softly, "Perhaps there is already a true Bodhi in this world."

"Clam?"

The old monk frowned and said, "Who else can walk ahead of you?"

"I don't know." There was a hint of longing in the Yuebai monk's eyes.

"I really want to see you..."

Shenluo City, White Dragon Temple.

When Buddhism came to China, the first temple to receive the teachings was the White Dragon Temple.

For a long period of time afterwards, Bailong Temple was the number one temple in the world and the only Buddhist holy site.

It was not until a thousand years ago that Buddhism moved south.

The Yunfu Temple in the south of the country has produced many peerless monks, and this has lasted for more than ten generations! It has earned the title of "Yunfu Pure Land".

The title of Bailong Temple as the best in the world is only in existence now.

After the founding of the Heluo Dynasty, the twelve sects were divided into twelve sects. Among them, the only Buddhist sect was the Tiannan Pure Land Yunfu Temple, which was ranked among the top five sects.

The White Dragon Temple was not mentioned at all.

With this, the status of both parties was finalized.

Having lost the first place, it is still the second place. But for some reason, the whole world seems to think that the White Dragon Temple has fallen. Whoever mentions it, they all express regret.

Maybe... second is not bad after all, except compared to the original first.

clang--

clang--

clang--

The bells rang three times, echoing throughout Shenluo City.

Those who have some knowledge know that this is a big event happening in Buddhism all over the world.

Those who don’t know would be very puzzled, because the sound of ringing bells in temples outside the city has never been heard inside.

Why is it so loud today?

Moreover, the sound of the bell seemed to contain a tremendous power that could cleanse people's hearts.

The most influential ones are the gathering places for literati and scholars.

Although it was daytime, Shenluo City was known as the City of Flowers, and the flower streets in the city and the pleasure boats on the water were always bright until noon.

These three bells rang.

Everyone calmed down.

The men all became soft, slid off the bed, began to doubt their lives, and felt guilty towards their wives.

Some are to their wives, some are to others...

The good girls couldn't help but feel boring when they thought about their daily experiences...

In the White Dragon Temple.

At the top of a mountain somewhere, there stood a little monk.

He looked only seven or eight years old, with a fair face, red lips and white teeth, and an extremely handsome and cute appearance.

Wearing a slightly loose monk's robe and with a mature expression on his face, the picture is a bit incongruous and a bit funny.

But his eyes were extremely serious.

Looking south.

"Jiang Yiran, I've been reincarnated nine times, but you still beat me to it?"

He looked at his white hands.

"It is better not to practice this Zen."

As he said this, he leaped down from the top of the mountain.

When we landed, we had already left the gate of Bailong Temple.

At this moment, a voice came into my ears urgently.

"Master, Master! Where are you going?"

“Go out and play!”

The young monk replied unhappily.

That expression and look really looked like a child who was too lazy to recite the Buddha's name and went down the mountain to play.

In Deyun Temple.

Li Chu closed the secret book with satisfaction, thinking that this small Bodhi mantra was indeed powerful. When the sun shone on him, his blood and qi all over his body felt boiling. If there were any internal or external injuries, they would surely heal instantly.

It’s just that the practice is indeed a little difficult. Even for me, I still practiced it for... three times.
