Open a single chapter to talk about some recent plot issues

First of all, I would like to thank the readers who are still following the book, and thank the readers who have subscribed, rewarded, and voted. It is your support that has kept me from giving up on this book.

Let’s talk about the recent plot issues.

When I first started writing this book, I was full of energy. I checked each of the first ten chapters carefully, striving for perfection. After uploading it... it didn't pass the review, which was really embarrassing.

Originally, the plot of the first ten chapters was set in China, involving the police, government, zombies and the like. Because it did not pass the review, I changed the plot to the United States, wrote the police as inspectors, and the government as government officials. After a series of deletions, it formed the main text that everyone finally saw. It can be said that I am not very satisfied with the current opening plot.

You can see that my works are categorized as oriental fantasy, and most of the content is set abroad, which is indeed a bit embarrassing.

Because the plot had to be changed, I simply threw away the previous outline and rewrote another one. To be honest, before it was put on the shelves, my outline was only ten chapters ahead of the updated content. I could only plan what to write in the next ten chapters, and I didn't have any long-term plans. I just took it one step at a time.

After the book was put on the shelves, there was a burst of update event in March. I participated in it with full confidence and updated four or five chapters every day. It was really cool, but the problem came. I finished writing my outline, which led to me writing as I thought about it in the later period of the burst of update event. I didn’t have any major plans, which also made the plot at that time a little imperfect.

After the explosive update event ended, I had to work on my graduation thesis in April... and I had even less time to write.

To be honest, I've been a bit confused about the plot of the last few chapters because I don't know what to write and I only have a general direction in my mind.

For example, Cthulhu is going to invade another world. I had thought of a rough framework for this plot before it was put on the shelves, but I had not thought about the actual content. Now I can only write according to this framework, so this plot is a mess.

After each update is completed, I don’t even watch it again myself.

I have been feeling depressed recently. From being cautious in the first month of writing to just writing casually now, what am I doing?

I even thought about leaving this book unfinished. After finishing the thesis, I would devote myself to writing a new book and strive for the badge of "excellent product", which would be worthy of the title of online writer.

But this book still has so much support from readers, and China Literature has been very active recently. The editor who had been leading me resigned at the end of April, and I am not very familiar with the new editor.

All these changes made me a little hesitant to write a new book, so the plan was put on hold.

The original plan was to start a new book between mid-May and early June (the thesis would probably be finished by then), and this book would be updated once a day, but now I have to finish the outline of the new book first to avoid making the same mistakes as this book.

If this matter can be properly resolved, I may start a new book in June or July to realize my dream, and continue to update this book to make sure I am fully present.

You don't have to worry that this book of mine will be abandoned. I have already written 520,000 words. It would be great if I could write another three or four months to finish it with about one million words. I can also have full attendance for a few months, which is great.

But from now on, I will write more seriously, at least to write the following plot better.

I have written more than a thousand words without realizing it, so I will stop here. Thank you all for your company. I wish all the book friends who have read this humble work good health, good luck and a successful career.
