Jin Enyu walked in the alley with a swagger, thinking about how he had won a few coins with his cleverness during the day and was feeling proud of it.

Suddenly, he crept into a corner and seemed to notice something. Two people appeared in front of him: one was his older sister, and the other was Qinghuan, a child from their neighborhood. Most importantly, their mouths were almost touching.

Jin Enyu's face turned into one of disgust, as he saw his sister's mouth being too aggressive. But despite his disgust, he opened his eyes wide and gradually leaned over as the two people in front of him approached.

After Kim Eun-mi shyly said goodbye to Cheong-hwan, Kim Eun-woo suddenly jumped out from behind, startling her. Before Eun-mi could use her older sister's privilege to teach her brother a lesson, she saw Kim Eun-woo stretch his head, raise his hips, and pout, imitating the kiss between Eun-mi and Cheong-hwan.

Jin Enyu dodged skillfully as if he had been kicked, and chuckled, "I'm going to tell Mom that you're having stir-fried bamboo shoots and pork tonight."

Jin Enyu ran very fast. Kong Zhimin and his group in the room saw Song Qixian and ran out of the room directly.

Everyone suppressed their laughter. Kong Zhimin leaned closer to Ha Meishu and said, "I don't think he's suitable for this role. Instead, he's suitable for another role..."

Ha Mi-sook smiled and nodded, agreeing with Kong Zhimin's idea.

Song Qixian ran back and apologized to everyone breathlessly.

Director Kong and the people behind him in the room were very gentle.

"We don't think you're suitable for this role. ... Here's another role. Would you like to try again?"

Song Qixian looked at the page of script that his assistant brought over, and his eyes slowly widened.

-

In the script that the assistant brought, the role that Song Qixian was going to audition for was changed to another one, that of Kim Eun-mi's senior and secret admirer - Yoon Min-woo.

This was far beyond Song Qixian's expectations.

"Family Fun" tells the story of the life of the protagonist Jin family in the alley. Among them, Kim Eun-mi is the heroine, and her emotional life runs through the whole play. She has childhood sweethearts, the male lead and the second male lead, and Yoon Min-woo as her guardian.

Song Qixian felt that the leap from younger brother to secret admirer was quite large. Especially since he had never filmed a love scene before, he didn't know why the director asked him to try out for this role.

Little did Kong Zhimin know that the more he looked at him, the more he thought he was a good fit for a senior. He looked very righteous, unlike many kids these days who were too feminine. He could wear a pair of glasses to add to his refined demeanor.

They were also secretly nodding their heads at the scene Song Qixian had just auditioned for, featuring Kim Eun-woo. This pre-teen had let loose in his acting, adding a lot of subtle movements to his improvised scene without any of his idol baggage, which was rare, especially considering he was from a boy band. He had a strong ability to read the script; the script simply described Kim Eun-woo as a somewhat sleazy boy, but he was able to convey that sleazy quality through his actions and words.

Unfortunately, Kim Eun-woo had already been cast, so Kong Zhimin suggested replacing him with another character. This character's screen time wasn't as significant as the younger brother's, but it was still crucial. After all, he was the one who truly instilled a sense of crisis in the childhood sweethearts, the leading and second male leads, and thus accelerated the emotional development.

Can this young boy with a fresh face portray that feeling? Director Kong is looking forward to it.

This audition was very sudden, and Kong Zhimin did not add any additional difficulty. He let Song Qixian choose a segment himself.

Song Qixian was under immense pressure as he reviewed the script in front of everyone, sweat beads forming on his forehead. The assistant director thoughtfully offered him a tissue, but Song Qixian thanked him before even raising his head.

Time passed by minute by minute. The person in the back row was about to speak when Kong Zhimin stopped him. "He's almost well, wait a little longer."

It was indeed ready. Song Qixian put down the script and cheered himself up in his heart. He bowed again: "I'm ready, please let me begin."

Kong Zhimin raised his hand to indicate that he could begin.

Song Qixian, no, now it’s Yin Minyou.

Yin Min-woo was sorting books in the library. He was a well-known top student at the Affiliated High School. He was very conscientious and meticulous in his work, so he was very focused when sorting books. Occasionally, dust would fall, and Yin Min-woo would pat it and then take off his glasses to wipe off the dust.

Suddenly, a familiar voice came from behind him. Yin Minyou's expression moved, his pupils dilated slightly, and the corners of his mouth lifted unconsciously, as if he recognized who the person was.

But this was a library, and talking loudly was wrong, so Yin Minyou quickly glanced around and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw no one was paying attention. Then he grabbed a few books and pulled the person out the door.

The person who came was Eun-mi, a lively and lovely girl. She was chattering non-stop in front of her respected senior.

Yoon Min-woo looked Eun-mi in the eye without hesitation. He was patient, occasionally offering words of comfort, acting like a genuinely good person. Only the slightly upturned corners of his mouth betrayed his cheerful mood.

Eun-mi said something again, and Yoon Min-woo couldn't stand her cuteness. He couldn't help but stretch out a hand to touch her head, but he was too late because a football flew over the next second.

Eun-mi stood there in a daze, but Yoon Min-woo immediately stood in front of her, blocking the football with his upper body.

Eun-mi cried out loudly, and Yoon Min-woo reassured her that she was fine. Then, looking at Eun-mi, who had left earlier due to something, he raised his hand to touch the spot where the ball had hit him, and a foolish smile appeared on his face. That smile was like the first signs of love in a young man.

"Pa pa pa" everyone present applauded Song Qixian's audition. The boy gave a perfect answer.

The people in the back row who were originally a little indignant didn't say much anymore. Screenwriter Ha Mi-sook kept writing something in her notebook, as if Song Qixian's performance had brought her some inspiration.

Kong Zhimin's eyes were full of admiration. He knew that Song Qixian might have some talent, but he didn't expect that his talent was so high.

The young actor was auditioning for the first time, and no one had ever explained the play to him, but he was able to perform this effect based on his own understanding.

Kong Zhimin isn't the type of director who insists on having his say; he welcomes actors with ideas. So, he wasn't the least bit dissatisfied with Song Qixian's quiet addition to the scene, but rather thought he was very expressive. Song Qixian's performance is a template for effectively highlighting a character's personality.

But Kong Zhimin still had to ask some questions, such as, "Why did you want to reach out and touch Jin Enmei's head? This is not in the script."

In fact, there are many things that are not in the script. For example, the script does not mention that Yoon Min-woo is nearsighted. Song Qixian thought that adding more movements would make it less awkward. For example, the script does not mention how Yoon Min-woo smiles. This smile is entirely based on Song Qixian's own interpretation and performance.

At the end of the performance, the applause from everyone told Song Qixian that the director and screenwriter appreciated his performance. But why did the director ask him this question? Was he dissatisfied? Song Qixian pursed his lips and decided to tell the truth.

"Because I think that although Yoon Min-woo has an introverted and melancholic personality, he fell in love with the outgoing, cheerful and sunny Eun-mi, which means that Eun-mi is the key to unlocking his heart. He must treat Eun-mi differently than he treats others. He likes Eun-mi, so he thinks she is cute and then behaves in some unreasonable ways."

A reasonable explanation, screenwriter Ha Mi-sook interjected: "But Yoon Min-woo's shortcoming is that he is not good at expressing himself, so he didn't take that step in the end. There are some problems with your adaptation just now."

Song Qixian's face turned red, and he suddenly realized a problem: he had just casually modified her script in front of a screenwriter!

Realizing he had made such a huge mistake, Song Qixian suddenly bowed 90 degrees and apologized: "I'm sorry, I just modified the script because of my narrow understanding. I'm so sorry, I hope you can forgive me."

Kong Zhimin laughed and said, "Sister He, please stop teasing that child."

Ha Mi-sook's expression faded from its earlier seriousness, returning to her usual amiable self. She assured Song Qixian not to be afraid, saying, "It's okay. We were just discussing the plot, weren't we? A good script must bring together everyone's strengths. You have a lot of ideas, which is great."

Kong Zhimin said seriously, "So are you willing to play this role? Song Qixian."

Song Qixian nodded repeatedly, but said: "I am willing, but I still have some matters to prepare for my debut, so..."

Kong Zhimin understood, so he waved to his assistant and asked him to give Song Qixian a piece of paper.

"Here's my contact information and that of Assistant Director Jin Ming. You also have the assistant's contact information. You don't have many scenes, so we can group them together. When the filming schedule is released, the assistant will notify you."

Song Qixian walked out of the building dizzy and wanted to shout with excitement. He actually got the role! Although it was a different role, this one required more performance and tested his acting skills than Kim Eun-woo's. It was a good role.

A bright smile appeared on his calm face. The 18-year-old Song Qixian was satisfied with the turnaround in his life.

He was so happy that he decided to share his happiness. He went to a fried chicken shop and bought a large bag of fried chicken and fries, spending a lot of money that made him feel very uncomfortable. He wanted to take them back and give them to his teammates.

After leaving the fried chicken shop, he passed by a jewelry store. The music coming from inside caught his attention. It was Kaleido's song "Butterfly".

Song Qixian stopped and took out his mobile phone to record this wonderful moment. He could actually hear their group's song coming from a store.

I shared this in the group chat, and the kids started to chat.

Park Yoo-eun: What kind of store is this? You have great taste.

Zhou Heyu: (touched by the emoji)

Shen Minghe: Actually, I also think Butterfly is super nice to listen to, even better than Divine Punishment.

Ming Shangyu: A good start.

Song Qixian smiled and walked towards the bus stop.
