The eyes of everyone else were focused on Liu Chen, some with curiosity, some with doubt, some with disdain, and some with bewilderment!
Before they set off, the elders of their sect had given the seven of them some instructions.
They should help each other and provide timely assistance if a fellow disciple is attacked.
But no one had ever heard of Liu Chen, nor did they remember that there was such a person in the sect.
Their respective masters had told them not to worry about Liu Chen's life or death; to help if they could, and to run away if they couldn't.
However, in case of a crisis, one can seek help from Liu Chen.
Master Yu Ling didn't pay attention to the conversation between the younger generation.
But as they were about to reach their destination, he still used his spiritual power to ask a question.
"Young friend, how confident are you about this trip?"
Liu Chen said calmly, "I'm absolutely certain."
Master Yu Ling chuckled and shook his head.
They soon arrived at the entrance to the Crimson Forbidden Land, a desolate mountain range, except for the towering peaks that covered hundreds of feet.
Yellow sand stretches across the land, and you find yourself in an endless desert.
Meanwhile, a number of people from various parties were already waiting there.
In the distance, a huge, ferocious-looking flying lion was rapidly approaching this place.
Nine dragons pulled a crouching carriage at high speed from the south side.
To the north, a colossal palace with an ethereal, otherworldly aura is approaching.
Liu Chen was secretly alarmed.
"Is this a Crimson Flame Flood Dragon?"
Those nine enormous monstrous dragons were Crimson Flame Dragons at the Refinement Void Realm.
Even though the Fire Dragon was not of high dragon bloodline, it was still a rare dragon race, yet it was used as a riding tool.
The mysterious palace appeared vast and majestic on the outside.
The aura emanating from within is even more unfathomable.
But none of these things caught Liu Chen's attention; what truly drew his attention was...
Below the mountain peak stood several figures dressed in black robes.
The leader was dressed in a black outfit, with a handsome and refined face, and a touch of the heroic spirit of a chivalrous knight-errant.
If it weren't for the fact that the elders of the Ghost Spirit Sect knew about it...
Liu Chen had assumed the other party was some kind of wandering swordsman!
But one thing is certain: this person holds a high position within the Ghost Spirit Sect.
That dense ghostly aura was far beyond what ordinary cultivators could match.
Just by staring at him twice, Liu Chen felt as if he were sitting on pins and needles, with the hairs on his body standing on end.
"This person's cultivation level is unfathomable!"
Master Tianxuan murmured, "This little fellow might be a Nascent Soul cultivator."
If he were in the Void Refinement stage, there would be no reason to exert such immense pressure on him.
However, before they arrived, Master Yu Ling had mentioned that the powerful figures who were to receive the cultivators from their respective sects were not allowed to be at the Integration Stage.
The main reason is that cultivators who enter the forbidden area bring out countless treasures.
If someone harbors wicked intentions, it could easily stir up a storm that sweeps across the cultivation world.
Even if some trouble arises from suppressing one's cultivation level to the Integration Stage, there are still ways to resolve it.
Even though the Ghost Spirit Sect's affairs are of great importance, they dare not break the treaty rashly, unless they want to fight against the entire cultivation world alone.
"It seems that this is someone who advanced to the Integration Stage, but suffered a severe injury due to an accident and fell back to the Refinement Stage."
Bai Ya asked curiously, "Senior Tianxuan, don't you know him?"
Master Tianxuan sighed helplessly: "How could I possibly know him! He's probably a cultivator who appeared after I died."
A cultivator at the Void Refinement stage cannot live for more than 100,000 years.
His contemporaries, unless they broke through to the Mahayana realm, were among those who could not achieve this.
Otherwise, he would probably have died long ago, his lifespan exhausted, and who knows where he passed away.
Cultivators have long lifespans, but they will eventually run out.
This is why countless cultivators are eager to pursue the unattainable realm of immortality.
Only after breaking through to the Immortal Realm can one attain endless lifespan.
No matter how powerful your cultivation is, you will eventually be unable to withstand the ravages of time.
The burly man seemed to sense that someone was watching him, and followed the gaze to meet Liu Chen's eyes.
His seemingly calm eyes contained a hint of the pressure of someone in the Integration Stage.
Liu Chen's vision shifted as a towering wave of blood surged forth.
Thousands upon thousands of vengeful spirits descended from the sky, attempting to drag him into the abyss.
Instead of being afraid, Liu Chen revealed a strange smile.
The vengeful spirits that attacked were defeated without resistance, and all of them vanished and disappeared.
The burly man looked surprised, and his smile faded slightly.
"When did your Spirit Control Sect produce such a prodigy?"
Master Yu Ling also noticed the secret confrontation between the two.
But he was still hoping that Liu Chen would diminish the Ghost Spirit Sect's momentum and expose his identity.
"Our Yuling Sect has countless geniuses, like carp crossing the river to catch fish. How could your Guiling Sect possibly know that?"
The burly man sneered repeatedly, completely disregarding his words.
However, the Ghost Spirit Sect was in an awkward position and did not intend to engage in a major battle with the Spirit Control Sect here.
The various forces that arrived in succession all greeted them, but ignored the Ghost Spirit Sect.
Master Tianxuan frowned repeatedly, yet he was overjoyed.
"These supposedly righteous sects really know how to put on a sanctimonious facade!"
The ugly things they did in private were no better than those of the demonic sects.
Yet they all pretended to be noble and virtuous, utterly despising the demonic cultivators.
However, this is also a good thing, as it prevents the Ghost Spirit Sect from having too many allied sects, which would make it difficult for Liu Chen to move around in the forbidden area.
Liu Chen stood quietly in the crowd, observing the nearby sects.
Master Tianxuan introduced it to him.
"Besides the major sects and families I mentioned at the beginning."
The Heavenly Talisman Sect, the Spirit Corpse Sect, and the Spear Dao Alliance—these three forces should not be underestimated.
They each have their own specialties and are quite famous in the Azure Sky Continent.
