Chapter Fifty-Eight: Killing Liu Xinyue

Liu Chen didn't say anything, he just kept staring at her and smiling.

Despite his gentle smile, Liu Xinyue felt very uneasy.

It was a fear that couldn't be described in words.

Liu Xinyue tried to escape, but she sensed that all her escape routes had been blocked by Liu Chen.

In other words, she had no way to escape.

No matter which direction they ran from, Liu Chen would intercept them a step ahead.

In just a few seconds, Liu Xinyue became increasingly anxious, her gaze frequently drifting towards Liu Chen's back.

"Are you ever going to stop? Who are you anyway?"

"I don't care who you are, the beast tide is coming soon. Even if we have a grudge, we'll settle that when we get back to Sea City!"

Seeing how terrified she was, Liu Chen couldn't help but laugh out loud, his smile becoming increasingly mocking.

"So you can be afraid too. I thought that apart from Liu Boda's injury, no one could make you show such emotions!"

Liu Xinyue felt that these words sounded familiar.

It felt like I'd heard it somewhere before, especially when paired with that face—a face that was both familiar and repulsive.

The memories in my mind gradually became clearer and clearer.

"You, you?"

She remembered that Liu Chen had said the same thing before.

Once, Liu Chen pushed Liu Boda down the stairs from the second floor.

Liu Boda was not injured, nor did he blame anyone, but he looked extremely aggrieved.

Liu Xinyue didn't ask why, nor did she bother to investigate the truth.

He raised his hand and broke Liu Chen's arm with a single blow, slicing off a large piece of flesh in the process.

"If you dare to hurt Boda again, it won't be this little lesson."

Liu Chen was in so much pain that he was sweating profusely, but he still did not beg for mercy.

That was also a rare moment when Liu Chen became enraged and confronted her directly.

Liu Chen's eyes were bloodshot, and he gritted his teeth.

His eyes were deep and unfathomable, staring intently at her.

I know you don't care about me!

I doubt you'd even beat me to death and I'd feel anything.

After all, only your so-called biological brother, Liu Boda, is your true brother.

Ultimately, Liu Chen was just a fifteen-year-old boy at that time.

Even if one has already experienced the full spectrum of human emotions, and even if one is capable of enduring hardship.

But he suffered countless humiliations every day in the Liu family, how could he endure it for long?

Therefore, the emotions suppressed in one's heart will inevitably erupt at some point.

Only now did Liu Xinyue begin to believe that the person before her might truly be Liu Chen.

Liu Chen didn't care about his attitude and curiously looked behind him.

"Your man is dead, so they're definitely going to send you down to join him."

Liu Xinyue didn't want to guess whether Liu Chen was actually Liu Chen!

The ground was already trembling slightly, exuding an endless, ferocious aura.

The attack came from behind, making her feel as if she had fallen into an endless hell.

"I don't care who you are. Even if you really are Liu Chen, it's none of my business!"

But the beast tide is coming, and I need to rush back to inform the superhumans in Haicheng.

If you keep stopping me here, you'll be the sinner who destroys the entire city of Haicheng.

These blustering words, which sounded weak inside, made Liu Chen sneer out loud.

"Oh, really?"

What does that have to do with me? The people of Haicheng are dead, so be it!

He spoke casually, completely disregarding the millions of people living in Haicheng.

Liu Xinyue felt a chill run down her spine upon hearing this, and her body transformed into flames once more, searching for a way to break through.

But it was no use; Liu Chen had blocked her path completely.

Liu Xinyue is determined to fight to the death.

Despite knowing he was no match for Liu Chen, he relied on his ability to make flames appear ethereal.

She might be able to escape from their grasp.

As an S-class fire spirit ability user, Liu Xinyue transformed her entire body into elements.

The flames he releases are far, far more powerful than those of other fire-type ability users.

The intense heat, like the heat that burns everything in the world, is a winning formula in the same environment.

Even the toughest and most robust giant beasts had to give way.

However, Liu Chen's lips curled up, and eerie black flames, as black as ink, ignited around him.

He stretched out his right hand and reached for the scattered, high-temperature flames.

The red light collided with the black light, and the flames dissipated in the next second, and Liu Xinyue returned to her human form.

Liu Chen's right hand gripped her neck, forcibly interrupting the elemental transformation.

Liu Xinyue struggled frantically with both arms, trying to pry open Liu Chen's palms.

But those hands remained motionless, like giant pincers, and no matter how she resisted, it was all in vain!

Liu Chen sneered and exerted force with the five fingers of his right hand.

He snapped Liu Xinyue's neck on the spot, giving him no chance to beg for mercy.

Even until her death, Liu Xinyue could not understand how the other party could be so ruthless.

It wasn't unheard of before; the Liu family's enemies had come knocking on their door before.

No matter how harsh their words were, they still hoped to get some benefits out of them.

Did this guy never think of trading his life for something with the Liu family?

Liu Xinyue died filled with resentment and bitterness.

Even on her deathbed, her almond-shaped eyes were still looking at Liu Chen, as if trying to see something from his face.

What Liu Xinyue couldn't understand the most was...

Just a second ago, she closed her eyes and lost control of her body.

The next second, she saw the surrounding scene again.

And what's even more terrifying is that Liu Xinyue saw her own corpse.

Liu Xinyue lay on the ground, her neck twisted at a bizarre 720-degree angle.

His face was ashen, his pupils were unfocused, and he exuded a dense aura of death.

Before Liu Xinyue could figure out what was going on...
