Chapter Thirteen: It was just a hug, you're so petty!

The next morning, Xiao Ran was awakened by the sound of a high-speed blender.

The girl woke up early and had already figured out how to make soy milk before going to bed last night. This is not difficult for an adult.

However, when it comes to making breakfast, novice Ci can only make simple sandwiches.

Even though it was a sandwich, the girl still put a lot of effort into it.

First, I took out some lettuce, picked out two of the tenderest green leaves, washed them clean, wiped off the water, and placed them on the whole wheat bread I had prepared.

Next, pour more oil into the pan, fry an egg, and finally slice two pieces of ham and wrap them inside.

Arrange the sandwiches neatly on a plate, carefully pour the soy milk into a cup with her fair hands, and then lean down slightly, gently sniffing it with her small, pretty nose.

As a rich aroma of soybeans wafted over, the girl squinted her eyes contentedly, her curled eyelashes looking as beautiful as a blooming sunflower.

Hmm, I guess I really am a cooking genius.

Still pleased with the fruits of her labor, she turned around and found that Xiao Ran had appeared behind her at some point.

Good morning, bro!

The morning sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating her delicate face and making her already fair skin look like a peeled egg.

Her face was so smooth that you couldn't see a single pore; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say her skin was as smooth as cream. Her long, black hair was also neatly draped down her back.

He smiled back at the girl and said, "Good morning."

Xiao Ran stretched, realizing that this was the first time since getting married that she had ever enjoyed the privilege of having someone make breakfast for her as soon as she opened her eyes.

Although it happened after the divorce, Xiao Ran felt it was alright.

He was still wearing his pajamas because he had just woken up.

Her eyes were still a little sleepy, but her face didn't look sloppy at all; on the contrary, it looked much more real and natural.

"Wash up and come have breakfast." The girl gave him a sweet smile.

"Okay, sure." Xiao Ran said and turned to go to the bathroom.

I brushed my teeth, washed my face and hair, and even took out a razor to shave off the few stubbles that had grown before coming out of the bathroom.

When they came out, Yan Xici had already neatly arranged breakfast on the table.

Sitting down at the table, looking at the fresh sandwiches and the steaming soy milk, Xiao Ran nodded.

"You're really impressive now, you can even make breakfast! I give you a thumbs up!"

A simple compliment made the girl, who had never cooked before, extremely happy.

After all, everyone wants to be recognized, especially when trying something for the first time. Receiving recognition can be a great source of motivation.

"I'll definitely do better next time!" the girl said confidently.

......

After finishing breakfast, it was already 7:30 in the morning. The diligent girl quickly carried the cups and plates into the kitchen before going upstairs to change her clothes and get ready for class.

She took off her loose white loungewear, changed into a pretty white dress, slung her cute bunny bag over her shoulder, and then hurriedly ran downstairs with her long legs.

Xiao Ran had just changed his clothes and was changing his shoes.

Seeing her come down, Xiao Ran casually said, "Such an early class?"

The girl nodded and moved closer to him to change her shoes together.

"We only have one class at 8 o'clock every Friday. I strongly suggest that you talk to our advanced math teacher and move today's class to Monday so that you can have a whole day."

She always felt that the class schedule was very inhumane.

Xiao Ran laughed at her as he changed his shoes, "It's been three years, and now you're thinking of changing your class schedule?"

The daughter tucked her white socked feet into her clean white shoes before tilting her head to look at him.

A slight dissatisfaction appeared on her pretty face.

"It's been three years, and you still haven't helped us talk to our calculus teacher."

Because of the close proximity, Xiao Ran could even smell the fragrance of the shampoo on the girl's head.

It has a delicate floral and fruity scent that smells very pleasant.

Xiao Ran shook his head helplessly, opened the door and walked out. "You're always so lazy. Come on, since it's on my way, I'll reluctantly let you hitch a ride with me."

When this girl was a freshman, I had troubled her advanced mathematics teacher quite a bit for her sake, so I was too embarrassed to bring up her class schedule again.

He doesn't own the school!

Upon hearing this, the girl pouted and made a reluctant face.

"Tch, he doesn't even want to sit down."

Don't be fooled by her seemingly troubled expression; she's actually quite happy inside.

Taking the bus in the summer can be quite uncomfortable, especially on the early morning shift when it's really crowded.

Those going to work, and grandparents rushing to the supermarket to grab items—it's no exaggeration to say that she never got a seat!

Having someone to guide you is certainly the best option.

After going downstairs, Xiao Ran sat on his most familiar electric scooter, propping it up with one leg.

Xiao Ran has long legs, and the bright morning sunlight danced on his hair, making the features of his face appear even more defined.

He handed the girl his usual helmet, since it was her first time and she needed protection.

The girl reached out her slender arm and took the helmet, obediently placing it on her head before leaping slightly to sit on the bicycle seat.

As the electric scooter started moving, the girl swayed slightly and then grabbed Xiao Ran's waist.

He was only wearing a short-sleeved shirt today, and you could feel his body temperature even through the clothes.
