Chapter Thirty-Six: The Feeling of a Heartbeat

The next morning was a rare weekend.

Xiao Ran woke up very early, around six o'clock.

His biological clock is amazing; he wakes up earlier every summer.

It's as if my biological clock has been suddenly rewritten.

He got up, quickly washed up, and went into his study to write.

As for breakfast, let's wait until Yan Xici gets up before we talk about it, since I'm not hungry anyway.

After entering the study and drawing back the curtains to enjoy the gentle morning light at six o'clock, I sat down at my desk, opened the Orange Melon Writer app, and began writing.

With a series of keyboard clicks, Xiao Ran quickly got into the zone.

Time really flies when you're typing; before I knew it, it was already 10 a.m.

At this moment, the girl on the bed trembled her eyelashes, then slightly opened her eyes, and her slender arms released the pink Hello Kitty in her arms.

She lazily rolled over, then stretched out her fair arm and picked up her phone from the bedside table.

Looking at the ten o'clock mark on her phone screen, the girl blinked and stretched comfortably.

As her beautiful off-the-shoulder top shrugged, her shoulder blades, hidden beneath her loungewear, also twitched slightly.

After stretching her waist slightly, the girl slowly placed her fair legs off the bed.

She slipped her little feet into her slippers, stood up, walked to the window, pulled back the curtains, opened the window a little, and took a breath of fresh air!

The moment the sunlight streamed into the room, everything became bright, and you could even see the dust floating in the air.

The wound on my leg has scabbed over overnight, and I don't feel any significant pain when walking.

This is good news for her.

The girl stepped into the bathroom outside.

After a quick wash, the girl looked at her radiant skin in the mirror and gently patted her face.

She hadn't forgotten yesterday's dream; she needed to keep her distance from him!

Today's Yan Xici is not the same girl who needed to be taken care of yesterday!

With these thoughts in mind, the girl turned around and walked towards the stairs.

However, the pain returned as soon as he stepped down one step.

The sensation of bending the knee so sharply that the scab on it had to be pulled open again was incredibly intense.

The girl, in pain, quickly pulled her leg back and dared not take another step.

What should we do?

She frowned, looking at the long staircase with dissatisfaction.

Or, how about we memorize it again?

One last time!

Um!

Thinking about it, the girl looked down and took her phone out of her pocket, sending a voice message to Xiao Ran, "Brother, are you up?"

Xiao Ran, who was typing away, glanced at WeChat, opened it casually, and then heard a girl's soft, sweet voice coming from the phone.

Because she had just woken up, the girl's voice still had a strong nasal tone, which sounded very pleasant.

Xiao Ran smiled unconsciously, knowing that this guy was definitely not going to get down.

She asked me to memorize it for her again.

He put down his phone, got up, stretched, and walked up to the second floor.

Upon seeing Xiao Ran, the girl smiled shyly, "Brother, I can't go down..."

Perhaps feeling guilty, her originally clear voice became much softer and sweeter, sounding almost like she was being coquettish.

Xiao Ran frowned, then walked over resignedly, stopping two steps away from her. He turned around and said, "Come on up."

What can you do when you have a cat-like younger sister?

Of course, we should spoil them.

The girl obediently opened her arms and then leaned onto Xiao Ran's back. After practicing yesterday, she was now incredibly skilled.

Strangely enough, even the girl didn't know why she felt particularly safe and comfortable whenever she lay on Xiao Ran's back.

So much so that she, who is usually very talkative, would be completely silent and comfortable every time she was on his back.

Xiao Ran reached out and hugged her legs. The flesh on the girl's thighs was the softest and most tender, and the touch was absolutely amazing!

It's so bouncy and smooth, it's like a baby's skin!

Holding legs like those, it's hard not to feel your heart race.

After hurrying downstairs, Xiao Ran placed the person on the gray marble floor.

His heart was pounding.

However, the self-righteous Xiao Ran didn't think this was a strange signal at all; he thought it was just being tired!

After all, how could an older brother have feelings for his younger sister?

"Sit still, I'll go get some food."

After saying that, he turned and went into the kitchen.

Xiao Ran still enjoys making breakfast, and took out the semi-processed scallion pancakes she bought from the refrigerator.

Fry it in oil in a pan until cooked, then add a lettuce leaf, bacon, and ham.

Squeeze in some ketchup and cheese, and it tastes great.

Moreover, it's more hygienic to cook at home.

After making the scallion pancakes, I took three oranges out of the refrigerator, peeled them, and put them into the juicer.

Then, use a juicer to make two cups of orange juice, and breakfast is ready.

The girl looked surprised as she looked at the steaming breakfast on the table.

Wow, scallion pancake! Dude, you're amazing!

She never expected that Xiao Ran could even make scallion pancakes!

The girl eagerly placed the plate in front of her, carefully grasped it with both hands, and took a bite.

His eyes lit up, and the expression on his face was one of pure enjoyment.

"Mmm, this tastes even better than what you get outside!"
