Chapter Thirty-Two: My First Princess Carry!

Strangely enough, Yan Xici hadn't planned to cry, but seeing how much Xiao Ran cared about her, a wave of grievance welled up inside her.

It's like a child who has been wronged and has been holding back their tears, but the moment they see their mother, they can no longer hold back their grievances.

Instead of complaining about damaging his car, he came to help him check his leg immediately.

The girl felt increasingly aggrieved as she thought about it, and tears welled up in her beautiful almond-shaped eyes, quickly forming a small, transparent bump. "I didn't mean to do this, brother, I'm sorry..."

Her voice was clearly choked with sobs, and as she finished speaking, a single, crystal-clear tear rolled down her cheek.

The girl, noticing the tears streaming down her face, quickly wiped them away with the back of her hand.

Like a child who has done something wrong.

He patted the girl's head reassuringly, "It's okay, don't cry, I'm here for you."

What's there to be upset about? Besides, isn't she buying groceries to cook for herself?

After Xiao Ran finished speaking, he bent down and squatted down beside her to check her wound, his tone gentle, "Next time I send you a message, please remember to read it."

Actually, Xiao Ran sent her several messages while he was at the coffee shop, telling her not to ride her bike home.

But the girl had already gotten on her bike and wasn't looking at her phone at all.

Hearing him say that now, she felt even more ashamed and wanted to disappear.

The girl bit her lip, her face almost overflowing with guilt.

"I can go back!"

She really didn't want to cause Xiao Ran any more trouble.

The two kind-hearted women who remained nearby overheard their conversation and understood their relationship. They quickly said, "Oh dear, young lady, don't try to be brave. Let your brother take you home."

"Yes, don't sit by the roadside in this hot weather. Go back and disinfect yourself, or you'll get infected."

Xiao Ran pressed the red and swollen areas around her leg with concern, "How are you? Does it hurt?"

The girl shook her head. "It doesn't hurt."

It would be a lie to say it didn't hurt, but she just didn't want Xiao Ran to worry about her anymore.

Just then, Liu Min parked the car and walked over. Seeing the situation, she quickly said, "Oh dear, is this your younger sister? Why don't we go to the hospital to see her?"

Today, Liu Min wore a white suit jacket, white high-waisted shorts, and high heels, exuding a mature and sophisticated vibe.

Add to that her big, wavy hair, and she looks incredibly alluring, with a unique charm.

Upon seeing Liu Min, Yan Xici was taken aback. So, what her brother-in-law meant by having something to do was actually being with this beautiful woman.

After all, my brother-in-law is single now, so it's normal for him to date other people.

However, even though I understand the reasons, for some reason, my mood not only didn't improve, but I became even more depressed, with a dull tightness in my chest and a feeling of not being able to breathe.

Upon seeing Liu Min arrive, Xiao Ran hurriedly said, "Thank you for your trouble, Sister Liu. You should go back first; I need to take my sister back with me."

Yan Xici examined her wound herself and realized that she could actually treat it at home. After all, the weather was hot, and the hospital was crowded. Going to the hospital was not as fast as getting there herself. Treating it as soon as possible and letting her rest in bed would be the best thing for her health.

"How about I give you a ride..."

"No."

"Then, how long will it take you to revise the script?"

"Two days."

"Can you really change so many things in just two days?"

"rest assured."

"Okay, I'll be going now. I wish your sister a speedy recovery."

After Liu Min finished speaking, she turned around, got into her Infiniti parked on the side of the road, and drove off towards the main street.

Watching Liu Min's retreating figure, the girl blinked and asked curiously, "Brother, is this sister related to the adaptation?"

I heard what they just said.

"Yes, she's the screenwriter. She felt some parts were inappropriate, so they needed to be changed. It's 10,000 yuan per scene."

Xiao Ran was actually quite happy, after all, with these changes, he wouldn't have to worry about the down payment for the first month.

The new book needs a month to be available on the shelves, which means that the book is free during this month and there is no money to be made.

The old house needs to be sold, but who knows when it will be able to be sold?

So Xiao Ran is still quite short of money.

After he finished speaking, he turned his gaze away from her injury and said, "Come on, let me carry you to the car first."

Given how badly she's injured, it's clearly unrealistic to expect her to go up there on her own.

Upon hearing this, the girl's eyelids twitched, and she instinctively said nervously, "I can do it! I can go up by myself!"

She was too embarrassed to let Xiao Ran hug her.

After all, I've never been hugged by a member of the opposite sex before in my entire life.

Just thinking about it makes me nervous.

After saying that, the girl hurriedly lifted her leg to walk towards the electric scooter, but as soon as she moved, the excruciating pain spread upwards from her knee.

Anyone who has ever scraped their knee knows how excruciating it is, especially when walking with a bent knee – it hurts like hell!

The girl gasped in pain.

Even the arm that Xiao Ran was holding visibly twitched.

However, the feeling of gloom in my heart miraculously disappeared.

Xiao Ran was too lazy to argue with her and simply said, "Be good!"

He released the hand that was holding the girl's arm, then lowered his right arm slightly to hold the girl's ankle, and used his other hand to put his arm around her shoulder, lifting her up in a princess carry.
