Chapter Twenty-Seven: Yan Li Finds the School

Looking at the long street, Yan Li honked the horn impatiently.

"Alright, that's all for now. See you in ten minutes. I'll be waiting for you at the small square. You take me to your dorm."

Yan Li, who was used to doing things her own way, hung up the phone as soon as she finished speaking, without giving Yan Xici a chance to say anything.

Hearing the dial tone, the girl felt terrible. Her arm holding the phone dropped instantly, and her beautiful almond-shaped eyes stared at the phone screen in despair.

This is it.

As expected, lying comes at a price.

Ten more minutes, my sister will be at school in ten more minutes.

That means she has to get to school within ten minutes.

But she's still at home, and even if she takes the bus now, it won't be in time.

After thinking it over, the girl decided that the fastest way was her brother-in-law's electric scooter!

Although it was a bit risky, she had tried it today and felt that she should be fine.

Making a quick decision, the girl put on her slippers and went straight downstairs. After hurriedly changing her shoes, she grabbed the electric scooter key that Xiao Ran had left on the shoe cabinet, opened the door, and ran out.

The girl inserted the key, twisted and turned her way out of the residential area, and rode towards the school.

She mustered her courage and floored the accelerator. Although it was only 40 km/h, for Yu, a girl who couldn't ride a bike, it felt like she was flying.

By now, Yan Li had already entered the school, and the dark blue Pamei was parked in a parking space at the entrance of Jiaotong University.

I was looking down, about to get off the bus, when my phone suddenly rang in my pocket.

She took out her phone, glanced down at it, saw it was Wang Meng, and then answered.

"Hello, Mr. Yan, Mr. Liu's secretary has brought the contract over. When would you be available...?"

Upon hearing this, Yan Li frowned. "Okay, I understand. You can put it in my office for now."

While I was still on the phone, I saw a motorcycle with a helmet and a figure that looked just like my sister whiz past me.

Yan Li didn't think much of it. She only glanced at it before her gaze fell elsewhere. After all, her younger sister couldn't possibly ride an electric scooter; she couldn't even ride a bicycle.

"Are you coming back this afternoon?"

"I'll look into it this afternoon. I'm at Xici School right now, so I'll talk to you later."

After hanging up the phone, I walked along the wide cement road towards the small square.
