The 112th Sisters' Showdown (Part Two)

After all, if it really happens, it's no joke.

"Get out! Get out of here!"

Yan Li didn't want to see her for even a minute. Right now, all she could think about was what she would do if her sister really got pregnant.

Yan Xici chickened out again. She pursed her lips and looked timidly at Yan Li on the opposite sofa, "Sister, don't be so fierce..."

Yan Li: "..."

Just then, Wang Meng came in with the food. Seeing the two sisters looking like this, especially Yan Li who was pale, her first thought was that Yan Li must have gotten really angry!

He hurriedly placed the food he was holding on the desk and walked quickly toward Yan Li.

With a concerned look, he asked, "Mr. Yan, are you alright?"

Yan Li breathed a sigh of relief, "See Xi Ci downstairs!"

She desperately needs to be alone right now.

We need to think carefully about what to do next.

......

Xiao Ran returned home after buying groceries, expecting to see Yan Xici's cheerful and lovely figure as soon as he entered the door. However, the house was completely empty.

The quiet air told him that no one was in the room.

His first thought was, "Could he have fallen asleep in the hammock?"

Thinking it over, he tiptoed and placed the dishes he was carrying on the dining table before turning around and walking into the courtyard.

However, there was nothing in the hanging chair except for the laptop.

He reached into his jeans pocket, pulled out his phone, and called Yan Xici.

This girl usually doesn't go out at this time of day, what's wrong with her today?

With a ringtone playing, the phone was answered.

A girl's soft, pleasant voice came from the phone, "Hello."

She's sitting in a taxi right now.

Wang Meng was originally going to take her back, but she didn't want Wang Meng to know where she lived.

So she decided to take a taxi home herself. Yan Xici glanced at the speeding cars outside the car window, her tone blank.

Although she seemed to have won the first round of this battle with her sister, she was not actually at ease inside.

After all, she was my own sister, and seeing her like that when she passed away made me feel more and more guilty.

Xiao Ran's tone was filled with worry, "Where did you go?"

She didn't cry when she received the call from her sister, nor did she cry when she sat in her sister's office and argued with her.

But the moment she heard Xiao Ran's voice, she suddenly felt a deep sense of grievance.

I'm so sad and scared, it was really terrifying!

If her sister forces her to break up with him, or gets angry and takes her home to be dealt with by their parents, the consequences would be unimaginable.

That complex mix of emotions—fear, anxiety, and the joy of victory—instantly overwhelmed every cell in my body.

I finally couldn't hold back anymore, and tears welled up in my eyes.

Despite feeling so unwell, she didn't want Xiao Ran to worry. She pouted and tried to act as if nothing had happened, saying casually, "It's nothing, I just came out for a walk."

Although she was naive, she understood that once she made a choice, there were things she had to bear.

She had to be strong and not let Xiao Ran be unhappy because of these things.

Although they hadn't met in person, they had lived and eaten together for three years, and Xiao Ran had already noticed something amiss just from that voice.

My gut feeling tells me that she is very upset right now, and that she is not telling the truth.

My heart sank even higher. "Where are you? Are you hiding something from me?"

"It's nothing, I just came out to buy groceries, I'll be back soon," Yan Xici said stubbornly, wiping away her tears with the back of her hand.

Her voice was thick with nasal tone and trembled slightly. Xiao Ran knew that this was the sound of crying!

He just couldn't figure out what it was that made her unwilling to tell him.

This was the first time, as far as I could remember, that she had kept something from me. In the past, whenever she had something on her mind, she would tell me, and I would give her advice.

Although he was a little curious, he chose to respect her choice and wait until she wanted to talk before listening.

He pursed his lips. "Then come back first."

"Okay." The girl sniffed and nodded subconsciously.

Then hang up the phone.

I couldn't hold back my tears any longer.

Large, glistening droplets uncontrollably gushed out.

The taxi driver, a middle-aged man, felt a pang of sympathy when he saw the girl crying her eyes out. He took out a tissue and handed it to her from the front.

The girl was the same age as her daughter, and seeing her made her miss her daughter terribly. She wondered if the girl would cry so sadly when no one could see her.

"Thank you, Uncle." The girl sniffed.

She took the tissue and wiped the tears from her face.

The man continued, "How old are you this year?"

"twenty."

Yan Xici wiped away her tears, sniffed, and then spoke.

Upon hearing this, the uncle looked surprised.

"Oh, that's the same age as my daughter. My daughter is twenty this year, back in our hometown. I wonder how she's doing now."

After saying that, she sighed, "Look at this suit, it doesn't look cheap, does it? If you cry, it will turn yellow and be hard to wash. Stop crying."

Don't let the uncle's age fool you, he has a sharp eye. This outfit is well-made and made of high-quality material; it's obviously not cheap, the kind of thing he wouldn't buy himself.
