Huo Siyan heard the sound of someone dragging shoes behind him, turned around and looked at Lu Ziyao's feet at first. He saw that she was already wearing cotton slippers, and a look of satisfaction flashed across her eyes.
Lu Ziyao also followed Huo Siyan's gaze and looked down at her feet. Huo Siyan was really worried about her and kept staring at her while she put on her shoes.
"What are you cooking?"
Lu Ziyao walked over, put her hands behind her back, and looked into the pot with her head tilted, like a leader inspecting something.
"Cook what you like." Huo Siyan turned his head to look at Lu Ziyao, a hint of imperceptible doting flashed in his eyes, and he curled his lips.
Lu Ziyao squinted her eyes and took a breath of the aroma wafting from the pot. Her eyes sparkled as she exclaimed happily, "It smells so good."
Lu Ziyao is always very relaxed in front of Huo Siyan and never deliberately suppresses her emotions.
Lu Ziyao stared at the pot eagerly, licked her lips unconsciously, and moved her mouth. She really wanted to eat it!
"Little greedy cat, your saliva is about to flow down."
Huo Siyan felt very pleased to see Lu Ziyao drooling over the food he cooked. Then he saw Lu Ziyao moving her mouth and swallowing her saliva. Was she eating the food online?
She looked so cute that he couldn't help but want to tease her.
"Impossible!" Lu Ziyao looked up at Huo Siyan and, without any hesitation, retorted in a firm tone, then lowered her head to look at the fragrant braised beef stewing in the pot.
Lu Ziyao looked down at the braised beef in the pot and said calmly, "I remembered something."
"Um?"
Huo Siyan responded nonchalantly, washed a handful of wolfberries and put them into the fish soup, then walked to the chopping board next to him, took out a scallion from the vegetable basket, and cut some chopped green onions for backup.
"I don't think I've had breakfast yet, no wonder I'm so hungry now!" Lu Ziyao finally remembered this and looked sideways at Huo Siyan pitifully, pointing at the pot and saying:
"Look, they're gurgling in the pot, all saying to me, 'Come and eat us!' What should I do?"
"It's hard to refuse such a kind offer, so I won't be polite!"
I don't know when, but Lu Ziyao already had chopsticks in her hand and had already decided which piece she wanted to eat.
But before the chopsticks reached the pot, a pot lid came over and covered it directly.
Lu Ziyao seemed to have suffered a huge blow. She covered her heart with the hand that was not holding the chopsticks, looking like she was about to suffocate. She accused Huo Siyan of such bad behavior with her eyes.
This little actor is so adorable.
Huo Siyan curled his lips, took the chopsticks from Lu Ziyao's hand, then filled a bowl of fish soup. He naturally walked over to the dining table, took Lu Ziyao's hand, and put the fish soup on the table.
"Have some fish soup first to fill your stomach. The beef isn't quite cooked yet, so we'll eat it later."
Huo Siyan sat opposite Lu Ziyao, supporting his chin with his left hand as he watched Lu Ziyao scoop a mouthful of soup, blew on it carefully, and drank it slowly: "It tastes good."
"Zizi."
"Ah?" Lu Ziyao took a bite of the fish and looked up at him.
"Have you tasted the sweetness of being a stranger rather than a familiar one?"
While Huo Siyan was talking, he saw Lu Ziyao picking out fish bones, so he took out a tissue, folded it in half and placed it next to the porcelain bowl in front of her so that she could spit out the fish bones.
Lu Ziyao lowered her head and spat out the fish bones in her mouth. She looked up at Huo Siyan and asked in confusion, "What do you mean?"
