Yun Muye stood outside the door at a loss, and heard an old lady talking next to him.
"I made these little cloth shoes myself when my grandson was born. He's only worn them a few times, but now he can't wear them anymore after just three months. It would be a shame to throw them away."
Yun Muye turned his head and took a look. The old lady was holding a few pairs of small cloth shoes in her hands. They were cute in style and finely made. He thought of the little people in the house. Wouldn’t these little shoes be just right for them?
He walked forward and said, "Auntie, can you sell me these little cloth shoes? I'll pay for them."
The old lady had a kind face and said, "Why give me money? I'll give it to you if you need it. I was planning to give it to someone else, but no one wanted it."
"Thank you, Auntie."
Yun Muye calculated the time, thinking that the little person in the house should have finished taking a bath, so he deliberately made a noise to open the door and waited for a while before going in.
A small person was sitting on his bed, wearing a white dress, like an ancient lady, shaking her two white and tender little feet, so cute that people wanted to hold her in their arms and rub her hard.
"I'll bring you a few pairs of small cloth shoes. Can you try them on?"
When Gu Zhinian saw the cute little shoes, his eyes lit up and he happily stretched out his hand.

Yun Muye sat on the chair and put the small cloth shoes on her feet. They were a little big. Gu Zhinian shook her little feet.

Yun Muye put down his small cloth shoes and stood up. "Wait for me, I'll be back soon!"
Yun Muye ran out and borrowed some cotton from the neighbor's sister-in-law, giving her fifty cents. He came back contentedly with a handful of cotton. Gu Zhinian hooked a curl of hair with her fingers and looked at him with clear eyes.
Yun Muye took the small shoes, stuffed them with cotton, and put them on Gu Zhinian again.
"Try it again. This time it won't fall off."
Gu Zhinian put on his shoes, stood on the bed and turned around.
"Wow! The shoes are so soft and comfortable!"
Yun Muye looked at her quietly, with a tenderness in his eyes that he himself had not noticed. Gu Zhinian looked up at him.
"Thank you, you are such a nice person. By the way, what is your name?"
"Yun Muye." Yun Muye looked into her eyes and said his name word by word.
"If you need anything else, I can buy it for you."
Gu Zhinian looked at the incongruous clothes on his body and said:
"I want to buy some cloth and make some clothes for myself, is that okay? I'll pay you back when I find my family."
"Of course!" Yun Muye consoled her with a smile. "It won't cost much to raise you. I'll go to the department store and look for any kind of fabric you want."
"Can you take me with you?" Gu Zhinian said, "I will sit in your pocket obediently and will not talk nonsense. No one will find me."
"Okay." Yun Muye agreed without hesitation. Gu Zhinian jumped up on the bed happily.
"yeah!"
Yun Muye padded his shirt pocket with cotton, lifted her up, and put her in his pocket. Gu Zhinian stood up in the pocket, but even if she raised her hands, she couldn't reach the top of the pocket, so she couldn't see anything.
Yun Muye was riding a bicycle. Gu Zhinian was very curious about the outside world. He looked up at the sky, which was blue with white clouds floating in it.
Yun Muye parked his bicycle in a place where cars were viewed and took Gu Zhinian into the mall. There were a lot of people in the mall, so Gu Zhinian sat quietly and didn't dare to move, for fear of being discovered.
Yun Muye came to the counter selling fabrics and deliberately picked up the fabric and placed it above her pocket for Gu Zhinian to see. There was a fabric with white floral patterns that she liked very much. She gently poked Yun Muye with her finger. The pocket was right on Yun Muye's abdomen. This poke made him shudder all over, but he also understood what she meant and bought the white floral pattern fabric.
I also bought a very soft cloth to use as a bed sheet and quilt for her.
When they reached a deserted place, Yun Muye asked her quietly, "What else do you need?"
"A needle and a ball of thread." Gu Zhinian gestured, "Ask if you have any very small ones. I can't hold the big ones. Also, buy me a skirt for a girl of normal height, and..."
Gu Zhinian said in embarrassment, "Buy me a piece of underwear."
She was afraid that she might have no clothes to wear when she grew up one day. Yun Muye blushed a little, but didn't ask why and just bought it for her.
