Chapter 150 Afraid of being seen

After dinner, Han Li wanted to go back quickly, but Mr. Zhou warmly asked the young couple to stay.

"The nanny has already cleaned up your room upstairs. You can stay here tonight."

Han Li turned her head to look at Zhou Zhichuan nervously, blinking at him repeatedly, hoping that he would refuse her grandfather's invitation to stay overnight. Zhou Zhichuan received her gaze and smiled calmly.

"Grandpa, I have to go to a meeting at the factory early tomorrow morning. I'm staying here and I'm afraid I'll miss the meeting tomorrow. When I'm free, I'll bring her to see you, okay?"

Mr. Zhou was a little disappointed, but he didn't want to delay his grandson's business.

"Okay, let's go."

Zhou Zhichuan took Han Li out, and Mr. Zhou told him,

"You little bastard! Take good care of my granddaughter-in-law, do you hear me?"

"I know!" Zhou Zhichuan and Han Li got in the car, and Zhou's mother stuffed a bag of apples into the car.

"This apple is very sweet, take it home and eat it!"

"Thank you, Mom." Han Li took the apple.

Zhou Zhichuan started the car and left the Zhou family's old house. On the way, Han Li closed her eyes due to sleepiness. Zhou Zhichuan closed the car window and slowed down. After arriving home, Han Li still hadn't woken up. Zhou Zhichuan turned sideways and called her,

"Han Li, Han Li, wake up, we're home."

Han Li woke up in a daze, "Are we home yet?"

Zhou Zhichuan opened the car door and got out, turned around to open the door for her, and took off his coat and gave it to her.

"Put it on. It's cold when you get out of the car after waking up."

As soon as the car door opened, Han Li felt a little cold, so she put on her coat. A faint smell of tobacco filled her nose. Han Li asked casually,

"Do you smoke?"

Zhou Zhichuan was stunned for a moment, "Yes, occasionally."

"Oh." Han Li yawned and said lazily, "If you can quit, then quit. I heard that smokers' children are stupid."

Zhou Zhichuan paused for a long moment before a gentle voice rang out, "Okay, I'll quit."

Zhou Zhichuan opened the door, Han Li came in, changed her slippers, took off her coat and threw it on the sofa.

"I'm going to bed first. I'm too sleepy."

"Okay." Zhou Zhichuan hung his coat on the hanger, put the ladies' shoes neatly in place at the door, went to the bathroom to wash up, and went to bed.

Han Li was sleeping soundly. In her dream, she obeyed her parents and married Zhao Xudong. On the wedding day, Zhao Xudong's mother made a fuss and asked her to hand over the dowry. She refused. The old woman cried, made a fuss, and even tried to hang herself. That night, the old woman actually slept in her and Zhao Xudong's new bed. Such incidents happened frequently after their marriage, and Han Li woke up in anger.

Han Li sat up and poured a glass of cold boiled water, gulping it down. She breathed a sigh of relief and thought, thank God, I'm lucky I didn't marry Zhao Xudong.

Han Li finished drinking water, went to the toilet in the dark, and went back to sleep. She slept until dawn. The door opened and Zhou Zhichuan stood outside.

"Han Li, are you up? I made egg noodles. Get up and have breakfast. I have to go to work."

"I'm coming!" Han Li lifted the quilt, quickly changed her clothes and opened the door.

"I'll wash up and eat right away."

Han Li rushed to the sink in a hurry, and Zhou Zhichuan went to the kitchen to get the bowls.

"Don't worry, we'll be at work at eight, and it's only seven now."

Han Li quickly tied up her long hair, washed her face and clothes, and sat back at the dining table. She had a bowl of clear soup noodles with a fried golden egg on top.

“Looks delicious, thank you for the egg noodles.”

"You're welcome, eat quickly!" Zhou Zhichuan lowered his head and ate noodles. Han Li thought that since they got married, Zhou Zhichuan had been cooking, and she had never cooked for him.

"I'll make you scrambled eggs with tomatoes tonight."

Neither of them went home at noon, but ate in the factory cafeteria. They only ate at home in the morning and evening.

Zhou Zhichuan thought of the scrambled eggs with tomatoes that were praised by his family last night. It was very sweet and not salty. Han Li must have added a lot of sugar, which was not to his taste.

"Okay, thank you."

Han Li ate the noodles in big mouthfuls and took a bite of the egg, which was crispy and delicious.

After dinner, Zhou Zhichuan drove Han Li to work. When they were almost at the factory, Han Li unbuckled her seat belt.

"Stop the car! I'll get out and walk in. Don't let anyone see me."

Zhou Zhichuan stopped the car and said, "We're going to have our wedding in a few days, and everyone will know about it. Why bother hiding it?"

"What do you know!" Han Li turned her head while holding her bag.

"Many female workers in the factory like you. They often talk about you behind your back. If they knew I was your wife, they would want to tear me apart!"

Zhou Zhichuan frowned.

"Who dares? You're the owner of a textile factory. Even if you don't go to work, you'll still have money every month."

"No!" Han Li refused. "I have to take this class. Even if I only make a hundred or two hundred a month, it's my own money, unlike what others give me as gifts."

"I am someone else?" Zhou Zhichuan felt a little uncomfortable when he heard these two words. He thought that even if the two were fake husband and wife, they were still true friends and could not be considered others.

Han Li gave him a puzzled look and said, "I won't talk to you anymore. I have to go to work quickly. If there are too many people around, it will be bad if I get discovered."

Han Li got out of the car, looked around, put on her hat and walked forward with her head down. Her skillful look gave Zhou Zhichuan a heart attack. Is he so shameful!

Zhou Zhichuan sneered, stepped on the accelerator and passed Han Li, raising a cloud of dust. Han Li was so angry that she stomped her feet and covered her mouth and nose with her hands.

"Why are you driving so fast?! I just changed into new clothes this morning, they're so disgusting!"

"Han Li!"

A woman's voice came from behind. Han Li turned around and saw that it was Li Meiling, the team leader of the spinning workshop. Han Li smiled and greeted her.

"Good morning, Squad Leader Li."

"Good morning."

Li Meiling is 25 years old this year. She came to work in the textile factory when she was 16 years old. She worked diligently for 9 years and finally became the workshop foreman, assisting the workshop director in managing the workers in the entire workshop. At that time, the factory director was still Zhou Zhichuan's father. Zhou Zhichuan took over the factory at the age of 21. He was gentle, elegant and calm. Li Meiling fell in love with him at first sight and tried every means to get close to him, but Zhou Zhichuan didn't know her.
