A battle is inevitable

A battle is inevitable

Chao Lan is very efficient in fighting. Zhu Xun can beat people half to death but leave them alive, while Chao Lan can also accurately beat people until their bones are broken and they can't stand up straight, without even seeing blood.

A fog rolled in at night, and beads of sweat dripped from Chao Lan's forehead, his clothes damp inside and out. A few sparse lights illuminated his tireless arms and the gleam of his sword. He did not stop, for the gazes of those below him were piercing and fierce, like thorns in their backs.

The Dreambreaker shattered, but he used the fragments to forge a new Dreambreaker, its surface cracked yet its sharpness undiminished.

He fought effortlessly, giving his opponent as much time as possible to pick up his weapon.

The last one to go was Yao Guang. Chao Lan could sense that the person opposite her was a spirit beast, even though it was tainted by evil spirits.

Zhao Hua, who had been hiding behind Si Chuitang, peeked out. She knew that the two brothers were just putting on a show and didn't really want to fight. She feared that it would end in a hasty battle, and both clans would punish her. Of course, she also had a reason to push for this war: the hand she could never seem to warm under her palm.

Everyone was focused on their work and did not glance at the informant.

She found Cangzhoushui's location and prepared to head towards him.

"Zhaohua." Si Chuitang grabbed her arm. The worry in Si Chuitang's eyes was genuine, as was her kindness towards Zhaohua. "Where are you going?"

Zhaohua's palms were sweaty, and she unconsciously rubbed them together.

Seeing that she didn't speak and showed no intention of letting go, Zhao Hua smiled and pointed at Cang Zhou Shui: "Zhao Hua, go find Elder Cang and beg him to be magnanimous and let me go after this matter."

Si Chuitang loosened his grip slightly: "Don't go anywhere else. I'll send you away after this is over." Zhao Hua was moved; she even wavered a little.

The pearl hairpin on Si Chuitang's head swayed slightly as it was moved, causing Zhao Hua's pupils to shrink. From here, she could see Yue Hua standing behind Si Chuitang.

She steeled herself, patted Si Chuitang's hand, and pushed him away, saying, "Don't worry, I'll be there in a few minutes." Her gaze followed Bu Yao for a moment, "Master, please take care of my sister for me."

Si Chuitang's hands were empty. With her superb medical skills, how could she not understand that Yuehua was a heartless person? She was afraid that she would be like a puppet for the rest of her life, but she didn't say it.

"Elder Cang!" Cang Zhoushui didn't respond. Zhao Hua followed his gaze and saw Chao Lan, who was fighting fiercely with Yao Guang.

"Elder Cang!" Cang Zhoushui finally spared a little attention to respond to Zhaohua.

Seeing that Cangzhou Shui had heard this, Zhaohua said directly, "The one who can break the deadlock is among them."

Cang Zhoushui glanced briefly at Zhao Hua, but still ignored the tattletale.

Zhao Hua waved his finger in front of Cang Zhou Shui's eyes, and seeing that Cang Zhou Shui was about to lash out, he directed him to look at the people at the edge of the arena.

The man stood with his hands behind his back, his brows furrowed, his gaze unwavering, as if he were the next contestant.

"Elder You's eyes haven't blinked since the Demon Lord era, have they?"

Cangzhou Shuicai didn't care about You Youju's unblinking eyes: "What do you want to say?"

Zhao Hua stopped keeping her in suspense: "To tell you the truth, when I was in the Demon Realm, I accidentally learned a secret." Zhao Hua had met You Youju and Zhu Xun a long time ago, but she only remembered You Youju and didn't remember the young man standing next to her.

It wasn't until Youyouju and Zhuxun met and the gifts that came and went that she remembered there was such a child.

She sensed that Zhu Xun's feelings for You Youju were not pure, and tried to sow discord between them many times, but to no avail.

It wasn't until she lured You Youju into that forbidden room that she caught a glimpse of You Youju's panicked figure, and she was extremely excited.

She had assumed that You Youju would despise Zhu Xun from then on, and given the Demon Lord's temperament, he would surely cause a huge uproar. But she was wrong.

She went to great lengths to get close to Xiao Baiyao, but unfortunately, Xiao Baiyao didn't have the ability to do so.

"That's the Demon Lord's affection for Elder Guichen!"

Cangzhou Shuiqi raised an eyebrow: "What did you say?!"

"You don't know, Elder Guichen often comes to our Demon Realm! Their relationship is very close." At this point, Zhaohua gritted her teeth and made up her mind: "As long as we start with Elder Guichen, why should we be afraid that the Demon Lord won't be anxious?"

Cang Zhou Shui was gathering his strength. How could a little girl, a liar, have seen through his eagerness to start a war? He thought for a moment and realized that he didn't need to get rid of this girl himself. He could send her to kill You Youju. Once You Youju transformed into the Purple Emperor, would he still be afraid of the Demon Clan?

Cang Zhou Shui took out a pill from his Qiankun bag and handed it to Zhao Hua: "This is a pill to conceal your aura, but it only lasts for half a quarter of an hour. I'm entrusting this task to you. After you've accomplished it, I will save your sister. Remember, do not injure her back."

Zhao Hua accepted the pill almost without hesitation, clasped his hands in a fist and said, "Zhao Hua will certainly not fail in his mission!"

She understood, of course, that Cangzhou Water couldn't save Yuehua, since the item that could revive Yuehua was on that person.

Yao Guang's attacks were particularly fierce and extremely fast. Even against Chao Lan, who was known as the God of War, she managed to exchange several blows. The demons cheered and shouted encouragement for Yao Guang.

For some reason, You Youju's heart had been pounding ever since she came out. She felt nervous and anxious, as if something was about to get out of control.

As dawn broke, Chao Lan decided to stop delaying. Just as Yao Guang's claws lashed out, Chao Lan broke his arm and struck him in the abdomen with her sword hilt. Yao Guang, still trying to fight back, transformed into a beast and pounced, its roar deafening. Seeing its persistent attack, Chao Lan prepared to finish the fight with a vengeance when a voice suddenly rang in her ears: "Huai Jing, show mercy to this beast!"

Upon hearing his master speak, Chao Lan quickly dodged and landed on Yao Guang's back, grabbing its mane. He heard Yao Guang whisper, "I'm not fighting you anymore. You two do what you need to do."

Chao Lan responded lightly and struck the lion's neck with her elbow. The white lion immediately lost its strength, fell face down, and fainted.

With the last demon general dealt with, the cheers from the various immortal sects continued, and the decisive battle that everyone had been eagerly anticipating was about to begin.

Chao Lan said to the black sedan chair, "Demon Lord, please."

As dawn broke, the light stopped precisely on the curtain of Zhu Xun's sedan chair. The curtain was parted, revealing her bright pink eyes, as beautiful as crystal.

A whip lashed out, binding Chao Lan's sword tightly as she parried. Chao Lan discarded the hilt and lunged at Zhu Xun. The first few moves were uneventful, but someone noticed something amiss: "Sect Leader Cang, why does this Demon Lord's swordsmanship look so much like the style you taught?"

Cangzhou Shui didn't even glance at him, showing no respect whatsoever.

The two leaped into the sky, their battle cries echoing, yet they could not be seen.

A gust of wind swept down from above, knocking all the disciples, except for a few elders, to the ground, their robes billowing in the wind. At the very center of the gust, a small tornado swirled, scooping up the scattered pebbles and fallen leaves.

Chao Lan descended on the clouds without uttering a word, and created an additional protective barrier to safeguard others.

Just moments ago it was a bright, sunny morning, but suddenly dark clouds gathered, and no one could be seen. Only two mountain-like clouds, one gray and one dark, flashed with purple lightning and roared, revealing that the people inside were engaged in a fierce battle.

Trees around the barrier were snapped in half, and even those that could stand upright in the gale were uprooted and crashed into the barrier with a thud.

The cultivators present were all amazed by how terrifying this power was. If these two were not chosen ones, it would take hundreds of years of cultivation to master such a skill.

A deafening thunderclap seemed to strike overhead, the clouds churned even more violently, a mix of red and purple, and the descending light of magic exploded and dispersed in mid-air.

Thick, dark clouds resembled billowing smoke, obscuring the sun and threatening a downpour. Lightning flashed through the clouds, casting two shadows, one on the left and one on the right, with a deafening roar.

"Look! Fire is rising from the clouds!"

Everyone stared intently; what was that if not fire? But the flames, towering high, dodged left and right, burning in a circle, while the person in the center stood motionless, completely unconcerned.

With a deafening crash, another explosion erupted from the clouds! The light shot straight into the heavens, illuminating the sky with crystal clarity. The figures had vanished, leaving only two cloud mountains locked in a fierce struggle, each swallowing the other whole, until they reached the heart of the formation, threatening its very lifeline!

Seeing this situation, Cangzhou Shui couldn't tell who had won or lost. Was it going to be like the first battle, lasting for hundreds of years?

He gave Zhaohua a wink, and Zhaohua stepped forward to take the Immortal Binding Rope that Cangzhoushui handed her. She knew the time was right, and after one last look at Yuehua, she headed towards Youyouju's direction with a death-defying resolve.

"You're still the same as you were in the Beast Taming Sect, you can't beat me."

Zhu Xun's eyes sharpened, and he made the curse seal even larger. "Don't talk like you've won."

Although both knew the outcome, they both put on their best performances in this fight, turning the charade into a real show, completely displaying their skills, and making up for the lack of a satisfying fight in the previous one.

Zhu Xun's attack spell is a huge golden disc, like a roulette wheel, with twelve small hand seals that spin and shoot out countless golden swords.

Chao Lan used one hand to form a shield, while the other hand was behind his back, deflecting most of the sword blade. Zhu Xun was displeased by this provocation. He crossed two fingers and sent the sword blade flying in a boomerang-like motion, piercing Chao Lan's shoulder.

"Ha! After this magical duel, my lifespan will be reduced by at least ten years!" Chao Lan ascended on a cloud, tearing off a strip of cloth from her clothes and stuffing it into her wound. "It won't be ten days or half a month to heal, Brother Zhu Xun!"

Flames flickered in Chao Lan's eyes, and his smile was wide, as if he was thoroughly enjoying himself. He clapped his hands together, shattering the wheel with a deafening roar. Zhu Xun tried to block, but the fragments of the seal were torn apart by the howling wind, leaving his hands covered in countless wounds.

Thankfully, it covered his face.

Warm liquid trickled down his cheeks, just avoiding his veil, and rolled over from the inside, leaving exactly six bloody marks.

"Tsk." The flames in Zhu Xun's eyes burned brightly as he flew rapidly toward Chao Lan, determined to fight her to the death.

"Huai Jing!! Come quickly!!"

While resisting the shockwave from Zhu Xun, the voice-transmitting bird in Chaolan Cangzhou Water was shattered by the magic seal.

What urgent matter requires Elder Cang to expend his power to send a bird to deliver a message?

He changed direction and charged straight towards Chaoyun Mountain. Zhu Xun, left bewildered and furious, followed him.
