A night of cold snow extinguished the fire in my heart.

A night of cold snow extinguished the fire in my heart.

With You Ju's face down, Zhu Xun reached behind him to his chest and peeled off a layer of clothing. Then he helped You Ju up and leaned him against his shoulder, peeling off the outer garment layer by layer from front to back.

This is insane!

Zhu Xun's brain was racing, flashing warning red lights, but the clothes in front of him were getting thinner and thinner, and the body temperature was getting closer and closer...

That's insane.

Zhu Xun's chest was pressed against his back, and You Youju's body, radiating heat and the scent of bitter chrysanthemum, was tearing at his guard. His tense body looked somewhat wooden, and Zhu Xun's face appeared a bit gloomy.

He is You Youju...

He took a deep breath, pressed his cheek against You Youju's ear, took another deep breath, and whispered, "Uncle."

His burning skin touched hers; he could even feel the downy hair on You Youju's cheek. His cool nose couldn't help but brush against You Youju's cheek.

You Youju stammered, her words muffled, "Um... gay, it's... it's... um..."

With only an inner garment remaining, Zhu Xun stopped, but he didn't look away. He simply stared at You Youju's chest without any attempt to conceal himself.

I felt intense heat.

"It's... a man who admires another man..."

Boom! Something suddenly exploded.

His mind was filled with muffled sounds, his breathing was unsteady, and he gripped You Youju's hand even tighter, inexplicably pulling open the thin string of You Youju's inner garment around her waist.

Seriously, this is going to be terrible...

Because of the fever, the fine sweat on his chest and abdomen was glistening, and with each breath, his delicate skin glowed pink. His remaining rationality made him tremble with excitement.

Without any extra movements, he gently caressed You Youju's rosy ear with his lips, his warm breath brushing against her earlobe: "Would Uncle be willing too?"

"Those two men include you? If you're not afraid of him getting hurt, if you're not afraid of him being disgusted with you, then go ahead and do it..."

This can't be! He wouldn't want this! Neither of them would.

You Youju didn't answer this time; she seemed to have fallen asleep, and their skin, pressed together, grew even hotter.

Zhu Xun's lips bled. He gently placed You Youju on the bed, then got up and extinguished the candle.

His forehead was covered in sweat. Zhu Xun began to gasp for air in the room, his eyes trembling as if he had been greatly frightened.

That was really close. If it was really taking advantage of someone in distress, how would we handle the situation?

After calming down, he faced the bed and hesitated for a few seconds.

He then knelt by the bed, rubbed against her restrainedly, and kissed You Youju's wrist with lingering affection. He inserted his fingers into You Youju's and held them tightly, then pressed his face against the back of You Youju's hand.

Let's lean on it like this for a while.

Finally, he took one last deep look at You Youju in the dim light, then left without looking back, leaving only a trembling silhouette.

That night, Zhu Xun knelt under the flourishing plum tree in the courtyard all night, clearing away the snow.

When Zhu Xun gently woke me up, the sun was already high in the sky.

After taking the bowl of hot soup, her head finally felt less dizzy. You Youju yawned as she got up to wash up. As she passed Zhu Xun, she patted him on the shoulder familiarly: "Didn't you make breakfast? Let's go out to eat, and then go straight to Song Song's place."

Seeing the sun shining through the window, he suddenly realized, "It's almost lunchtime."

He took two more steps forward before turning around in confusion, only to find Zhu Xun still standing in the same spot: "Zhu Xun? What's wrong?"

The figure remained motionless yet seemed to sway slightly. You Youju sensed something was wrong and quickly stepped forward. Seeing Zhu Xun frowning deeply and his eyes unfocused, she immediately placed her hand on his forehead. But as soon as she touched him, Zhu Xun collapsed.

Zhu Xun has a fever.

You Youju hurriedly carried him to bed and rushed to fetch water to wipe Zhu Xun down. He was annoyed, blaming himself for drinking too much last night and not taking good care of Zhu Xun. He guessed that Zhu Xun had caught a cold while taking care of him. He was always diligent in his martial arts practice and was always strong and healthy. Could it be that he had neglected to groom himself yesterday and went to practice again? What a stubborn person.

Thinking about it, he was also annoyed. He hurriedly instructed the few people who came to work that morning to call the doctor, but then he felt it was inconvenient. When the doctor arrived, he left only one person to serve Zhu Xun, gave the others New Year's red envelopes in advance, and sent them away.

Sure enough, the doctor examined him and found that he had caught a cold due to the cold air entering his body. He would probably have to take medicine every day for the next two weeks.

After feeding the first dose of medicine, You Youju cooked some vegetable porridge and fed it to Zhu Xun little by little.

"You silly child, did you secretly practice your martial arts last night?"

Seeing the worry in You Youju's eyes, Zhu Xun felt much relieved, but also a little guilty, so he coughed to cover it up. You Youju felt very sorry for him and quickly patted his back.

At this moment, Song Song's voice transmission flew in: "Brother Ju, Brother Xiao has arrived. How much further do you need to travel? We can't wait any longer."

Yesterday, Song Song excitedly announced that he had acquired a treasure, which was delivered today. He happily invited You Youju and others to come and appraise it. You Youju, however, was not interested. Song Song, on the other hand, said that this object was knowledgeable about the past and present, able to answer any question, and knew everything.

You Youju believes that there is no such treasure in the world, otherwise chaos would ensue. Song Song and Xiao Baiyao, however, are eager to try, saying that they must find out the characteristics of a demon king and then eliminate him completely.

It would have been better if he hadn't mentioned it, because once it was brought up, You Youju became nervous. Although the novel didn't describe Song Song obtaining this treasure, Song Song wasn't the main character and couldn't possibly handle every detail. Just in case, he had to go and check it out. If it was real, he would definitely destroy it.

Perhaps noticing You Youju's struggling expression, Zhu Xun said sensibly, "Uncle, go ahead. I'll wait for you to come back at home."

You Youju sighed, raised her hand to brush away Zhu Xun's stray hairs, and gently stroked Zhu Xun's cheek with her cool touch: "I won't stay for long."

Zhu Xun's eyes darkened, and he reached out to grab You Youju's hand: "Uncle's body temperature has been a little low lately, so please wear more clothes when you go out. It's snowing outside, and it's cold."

You Youju looked out the window at the rustling snowflakes, a strange unease creeping into her heart: "Don't go out, stay home and get some sleep. I've prepared a heater in the carriage, you won't be cold."

Zhu Xun earnestly begged him to stay, but in the end, he didn't say it. His nose felt a little sore, and he felt uneasy.

He changed his tone: "Uncle, how about we go another day? I'm afraid the snow will be too deep."

You Youju patted his head reassuringly: "Don't worry, I'll be right back."

He pondered for a moment, as if saying to someone, "This should be the last snowfall; spring is just around the corner."

Treading on the shattered jade, Youyouju left; he did not stay.

Outside, rustling sounds filled the air, while inside, not a speck of dust lingered. The room, filled with the refreshing scent of bitter chrysanthemums, was cool and refreshing. Zhu Xun pulled the blanket over her nose, inhaling the familiar fragrance, and drifted off to sleep.

He didn't know how much time had passed. The incense burner in the room stopped emitting thin wisps of smoke. Zhu Xun groggily opened his eyes and saw Yao Guang pushing him with her forehead, making muffled noises. Zhu Xun still felt dizzy, so he used his elbow to push Yao Guang away and turned over.

Yao Guang refused, pulled back the covers, and bit his clothes to make him get up.

Zhu Xun sat up, still sleepy, and asked, "What's wrong, Yao Guang?"

Before Yao Guang could give a signal, the sounds of fighting came from outside. Zhu Xun grabbed his robe, opened the window, and the cold wind rushed in without mercy.

It was less of a fight and more of a battle between two demonic cultivators who relentlessly pursued a red-haired woman. The woman was thinly dressed and left a trail of bloodstains in the snow. The two cultivators toyed with her, letting her run wildly, then suddenly grabbed her ankle and dragged her backward, slashing her body with their blades.

Zhu Xun observed from upstairs for a while. The woman was outside the bamboo grove, still some distance away, but she had only been here a short time. The woman's long robe was stained with blood, leaving a bright red stain.

Yao Guang poked Zhu Xun with the tip of her nose, looking very anxious. Zhu Xun closed the window, squatted down, and stroked Yao Guang's head: "It's okay, you can't see here."

Yao Guang let out a howl and spun around in place.

Zhu Xun seemed not to understand its meaning: "Are you afraid? Ju has set up a barrier, they can't get in, don't be afraid."

Yao Guang was still pacing anxiously. Zhu Xun, exasperated, opened the window to show her: "Look, they..."

In the blink of an eye, the woman was already in front of the gate, and she barely managed to raise one hand to weakly knock on it.

Zhu Xun frowned, sensing something strange about the situation. He took a Face-Changing Pill before going downstairs to check.

The servants in the courtyard were brewing medicine. When they saw Zhu Xun get up, they immediately stood up and said, "Young Master Zhu, please rest a little longer."

Zhu Xun shook his head at him and instructed, "You should go back first. Go out the back door; it's almost New Year's."

The servant said, "Young master is still ill, how can I leave?"

Hearing the noise outside, Zhu Xun took out the prepared silver and handed it over: "Go ahead, go through the back door. I'll explain to my uncle."

There was a loud knock at the door; the sound had already reached inside.
