Beast Taming Peak was exceptionally lively today, with disciples from other peaks also coming to visit, as it was quite rare for Gui Chen to substitute for them.

Chaoyun Mountain isn't like a university where each peak specializes in only one skill. Courses specific to one's chosen peak are emphasized, such as the sect's unified swordsmanship, magic, and peak-specific techniques, all taught by the peak's dedicated instructors and are compulsory for all students. Other specializations are like electives; students also take them, but in smaller numbers and can choose. There are also large lectures where several peaks attend together. Although today wasn't a large lecture, it was practically the same, with all the new disciples from several peaks present.

"Why is Elder Guichen teaching today? Where is Master?"

"Master has come down the mountain today. Elder Guichen is the closest to our master, so of course he will take over the class."

"But Elder Guichen only teaches Senior Brother Chaolan, right?" Zhaohua, who arrived early, interjected.

“Senior Brother Chaolan didn’t say anything. Moreover, Senior Brother Chaolan was with Elder Guichen. Theoretically, Elder Guichen was the one who taught us, but in reality, Elder Guichen only demonstrated and explained once. The rest was taught to us by Senior Brother Chaolan, his personal disciple!” an older disciple explained.

Zhao Hua glanced thoughtfully at Zhu Xun and said with a meaningful "Oh~": "Elder Gui Chen and Senior Brother Chao Lan are really close."

Zhu Xun stood there with a sullen face, like a block of ice.

"Oh dear, why are there so many people again today? Aren't there only seven disciples?" You Youju arrived dressed in a tight-fitting outfit, with Chaolan beside him. Today, You Youju did not have the otherworldly air he usually had; instead, he was spirited and dashing.

Zhu Xun thought of the time when You Youju taught him swordsmanship.

"Greetings, Elder Guichen!" the disciples greeted.

You Youju raised her hand, feeling ashamed, after all, the task Hua Heying had given her was only to teach them to identify the types of spirit beasts in this class.

Just as You Youju was trying to gather her emotions, several shouts came from not far away.

Everyone looked and saw that there were three people: Cang Lu, the eldest disciple of Haoran Peak; Jin Yan, the eldest disciple of Youyun Peak; and Chu Feishan, the second disciple of Feihua Peak.

The group first bowed to You Youju, and then Canglu said, "Uncle Guichen, the sect leader said that since this group of people who are never at home want to listen to your lectures, we can save the time of the main lectures. He wants you to teach the first ten moves of the sword manual at once."

You Youju felt ashamed and quickly waved her hand, "I'll tell them to go back..."

Cang Lu pretended not to see it and said to the disciples below her, "You disciples from Haoran Peak, since you don't want to attend classes properly on our peak and instead come here to join in the fun and disrupt the teaching at Beast Taming Peak, it proves you're too idle! Master said that any disciple from Haoran Peak who comes to join in the fun today must go back and copy the sect rules one hundred times!"

Jin Yan caught up: "You Yunfeng will be punished as well!"

After they finished speaking, the two flew away on their swords, leaving the disciples of the two peaks to lament.

You Youju wiped his sweat and asked Chu Feishan, "What about you guys?"

Chu Feishan smiled and said, "Master said Elder Guichen has worked hard and caused you trouble. This is a hair-darkening pill; I hope the elder will accept it."

Yu Youju's heart was filled with tears of joy. Her junior sister was the best!

Chu Feishan said to his disciples, "Master said that everyone on Feihua Peak should listen carefully to the lecture. Elder Guichen is a rare teacher, so please do not cause trouble!"

He then bid farewell to You Youju and Chaolan, and left with a wave of his sleeve. Half of his disciples were left in tears, while the other half were gloating.

Chao Lan clapped her hands, signaling everyone to line up in formation.

You Youju stepped forward and said, “Everyone, please watch carefully. I will demonstrate the whole form once, then the first ten forms once, and then Chaolan and I will practice the sword forms separately. Please do not be distracted.”

You Youju summoned a wooden sword, took a step forward, twirled the sword, and thrust it forward with a straight arm. After ten moves, the sword light was dense and flawless, and the sword movements surged endlessly, making it impossible to predict the trajectory.

When You Youju sheathed his sword, everyone stared in amazement and burst into applause.

Zhu Xun remained silent. Weren't these sword techniques the same ones his uncle had taught him back then?

You Youju smiled helplessly and said, "I'm not performing. Everyone, please watch carefully from now on." You Youju then called to Chaolan.

As soon as Chao Lan appeared in her palm, the mother and child swords fell out, called the Dream-Cutting Blade.

Zhao Hua asked again, "It's clearly a sword, so why call it a knife?"

The eldest disciple of Beast Taming Peak said, "Junior Sister, you may not know this, but the Dream-Cutting Blade was a stroke of luck for Junior Brother Chao Lan. This sword was originally a dagger, but it was later changed to a sword. It was given to Junior Brother Chao Lan by a kind person, and thus the name of the sword has not changed."

Zhu Xun said, "Heh, he certainly knows how to pick up bargains."

The eldest disciple was not annoyed when he heard Zhu Xun's words, taking it as jealousy: "Junior Brother Chao Lan's swordsmanship is arguably the best in the world. If you are jealous, you should practice your swordsmanship first."

Zhu Xun turned his head, his tone somewhat cold: "I'm jealous of him?"

Seeing that the two were about to argue, Zhao Hua quickly changed the subject: "Look! Elder Gui Chen and Senior Brother Chao Lan are demonstrating!"

The two practiced together, each move executed very slowly while they explained it to each other. Yet, for some reason, it made them seem as if they were moving with effortless grace and perfect coordination. In particular, when Ju made a move, Chaolan would use the same move to counter it, demonstrating remarkable skill in responding to and countering each other's moves.

Zhao Hua secretly transmitted her voice to Zhu Xun: "Wow! Senior Brother Chao Lan and the elders are working together so well! No wonder they are the future War Emperors who were raised by Elder Gui Chen. They are incomparable to others!"

Zhao Hua stumbled and was hit in the knee by a pebble, causing her to fall to the ground, wincing in pain. People around her came to help her up, but she waved them off, saying she hadn't been able to stand properly.

Zhao Hua turned to look at the nonchalant Zhu Xun and asked telepathically, "Your Majesty, please forgive me, but where did I go wrong?"

Zhu Xun glanced at him sideways: "Don't forget why you came here."

Zhao Hua mentally cursed this petty demon lord, and replied obediently, "Yes! Your subordinate will never praise Cen Chaolan again."

Unexpectedly, another blow struck. Zhao Hua, who had a mouthful of dirt, stood up and vowed to avenge this humiliation!

After the drill was completed, You Youju asked, "Did you understand it?!"

Everyone chimed in with their own opinions, some honestly saying they understood, others deliberately saying they didn't see it clearly and asking You Youju to do it again.

You Youju wasn't stupid; he'd made a mistake before, foolishly demonstrating several times before his disciples still said they didn't understand. He chuckled and said, "It's alright if you don't understand! Chaolan!"

Chao Lan nodded upon hearing this, and with a wave of her hand, the scenes of You Youju's demonstration and her own demonstration played on a loop: "Junior brothers and sisters, don't worry. Those who haven't memorized it can practice along with it. Those who have memorized it can find someone to practice with. If you don't understand something, you can ask Master and me."

Chao Lan spoke gently, and the disciples couldn't find any flaws in her words, so they had no choice but to watch the instructional videos carefully and start practicing.

Zhu Xun knew the whole set of moves, so he didn't bother practicing them. He wanted to take the opportunity to go to Yundi Peak to investigate the situation and avoid seeing those sad things.

Hey! You junior brother over there!

Zhu Xun didn't look back and kept walking forward.

Chao Lan caught up with him in a few steps and asked warmly, "Junior Brother, don't go, is there something you don't understand?"

Zhu Xun didn't speak, but stared resentfully ahead and walked forward with a resentful expression.

Damn it, is my face this disgusting too? Why does the same face make me feel so nauseous?

Seeing that he didn't speak, Chaolan pressed on, saying, "It's alright, you can ask the elders if you don't want to ask me. Now is a good time to consolidate our position."

Zhu Xun stopped: "Is there anything else? I have to go."

Seeing his strange behavior, Chaolan said, "Leaving the hall requires permission. However, I feel an instant connection with my junior brother. I will go and speak to Master. You may leave first."

Zhu Xun remained doubtful: "Feeling like old friends at first sight?"

Seeing that he was willing to chat, Chao Lan replied, "Yes, you were twenty-third in the trial at Yundi Peak, weren't you? I noticed you seemed distracted during the demonstration, so I came over."

Chao Lan was fine until she mentioned Zhu Xun, then she felt uneasy and thrust her sword forward. Chao Lan dodged to the side: "So Junior Brother is looking for someone to practice with. Then I'll keep you company!"

The two fought back and forth, attracting the attention of their disciples who came to watch.

Zhao Hua sighed: Oh no, how did these two end up fighting?

"Who is this guy? How come he's fighting Senior Brother Chaolan to a standstill? He's so good!"

"This person is from our Beast Taming Peak. He's the same age as Senior Brother Chaolan, both only eighteen!"

Upon hearing this, Chaolan smiled at the man and said, "I'm almost nineteen!"

Seeing that he still had the leisure to reply, Zhu Xun threw his sword faster and faster: "You've only seen it once, yet you've memorized so many moves. Junior Brother, you truly have a talent!"

Nineteen! Nineteen! I suppose his uncle is spending it with him too?

Zhu Xun persisted relentlessly, his swordsmanship powerful and forceful. Chao Lan, using gentleness to overcome strength, sensed Zhu Xun's growing ferocity: "Junior brother, stop! Your aura is off!"

Zhu Xun gave a mocking smile and continued his attack.

Everyone sensed something was wrong and was about to call Elder Guichen when a figure in white descended from the sky, pulling away Chaolan and trapping Zhuxun's sword.

Zhao Hua saw this and quickly stepped forward to stop Zhu Xun. Chao Lan was slightly surprised when she saw her, but she did not sense any demonic aura on her.

Upon recognizing the person, Zhu Xun hurriedly dropped his sword: "Uncle... are you alright?"

You Youju suddenly realized and returned the sword to Zhu Xun: "We must not let our friendship be damaged between fellow disciples."

Zhu Xun's eyes welled up with tears when he heard You Youju say that.

Zhao Hua whispered, "Your Majesty! Didn't we agree not to attract attention?"

You Youju looked again and felt that this person was somewhat familiar, and even his voice sounded just like Zhu Xun's.

He led the two away, and when no one was around, he asked, "What's your name? You seem familiar to me."

Zhu Xun was thrilled. His master hadn't forgotten him deep down! If it weren't for this troublemaker beside him, he would have revealed his true form long ago.

Chao Lan: "To be honest, Master, I also feel that this junior brother looks familiar."

Zhu Xun replied, "This disciple is called A Xun, and I do not yet have a courtesy name." He took a deep breath and said, "I have never met the elder."

You Youju felt a pang of pain for a moment, then he remembered Zhu Xun and asked, "No surname?"

Zhu Xun replied: "This disciple has no father or mother, only a childhood name."

Chao Lan said with some regret, "A Xun sounds nice too. Otherwise, you can use your third master's surname. Many disciples do that."

Zhu Xun glared at him: "What's wrong with my name?"

Zhu Xun's eyes flickered, and he looked up at You Youju: "How about Elder Guichen bestows upon me a single word?"

Chao Lan frowned and looked at her master.

You Youju shook her head: "I am neither your master nor your relative. I cannot bestow a name upon you for such an important matter."

Seeing his gloomy expression, You Youju felt sorry for him and comforted him, saying, "You are exceptionally talented. If you need any guidance, you can come to my Yundi Peak often. Chaolan is intelligent and quick-witted. You two are fellow disciples, so don't be shy."

Chao Lan nodded in agreement.

Zhu Xun clenched his teeth, but since he could often visit his master at Yundi Peak and get closer to the Purple Emperor Sword, he agreed.
