Song Song's "Sending Off"
This mission is based on information from the book. In the book, Song Song, the young master of the Yongning Marquis's mansion, once had a spirit beast that was as swift as the wind and as fast as lightning. It was not only a good mount, but also had top-notch attack power. It was also gentle and extremely protective of its master.
After Song Song was captured, this beast demon died trying to save him—how loyal! Hehe, then don't blame me for getting there first!
Just like his own Red-tailed Serpent bone, it was actually Zhu Xun's prized weapon in the early stages. However, when You Youju went to kill this evil serpent, the serpent's cultivation level was not as high as when Zhu Xun killed it later, so its power was only half.
He just used his cheap cultivation points to snatch a cheap weapon. Hehe, consider it a gift from Zhu Xun to the old man.
You Youju thought this mission wasn't too difficult and that few people knew about it, since he had the cheat code in his brain and could still get firsthand information.
But when he arrived, he found a large group of "fellow Daoists" already gathered outside the forest. It seems that Song Song's spirit beast had not come easily either.
A fellow Daoist in flowing white robes, seeing You Youju arrive alone, asked curiously, "This fellow Daoist is quite unfamiliar."
He then looked You Youju up and down. He saw that You Youju had no spirit sword, no Daoist insignia, wore a bamboo hat and a veil, and behaved in a casual manner. He only had a thick, red whip around his waist. He really did not look like a cultivator. However, his figure was outstanding. In the midst of the incongruity, he had the air of a celestial being.
He then tentatively asked, "May I ask which sect or school you belong to, fellow immortal? And what is your current cultivation level?"
Seeing that someone was trying to get close to him, You Youju naturally asked in return, "What sect or school do you belong to, fellow immortal? What is your cultivation period?"
The cultivator looked puzzled, but still behaved politely: "I am Feng Qi, the second disciple of Elder Feng Qing from the Qingfeng Sect."
You Youju nodded. The Qingfeng Sect wasn't a major sect, as it only appeared briefly in the later battles against the demon.
Feng Qi looked embarrassed when he saw that the other party did not answer his question: "Then, fellow immortal, what about you?"
You Youju glanced at him only, then continued to stare straight ahead at the deep, eerie forest emanating wisps of demonic energy: "Do you think this demon is that powerful? With so many cultivators, wouldn't it be a near-certain death for him? Do you think we have a chance of winning? With so many people, can we even share one demon core?"
Feng Qi asked in surprise, "Could it be that you, fellow immortal, have not come to eliminate demons and uphold justice?"
You Youju looked surprised: "You didn't come for the demon core? Since you're here to eliminate demons and uphold justice, then if you kill a demon, you can give me the demon core!"
Feng Qi was surprised by this person's shamelessness and steered the conversation back on track: "Um... Fellow Immortal hasn't answered Feng Qi's question yet."
Only then did You Youju belatedly realize what was happening, and replied nonchalantly, "I have no sect or school, and I don't know anything about cultivation periods. I just thought I was capable, so I went for it."
You Youju was telling the truth. When he was reading the book, he didn't really understand the cultivation periods, and he just calculated them in terms of one level, ten levels, and twenty levels. If the maximum level is one hundred, he felt that he should be around forty or fifty levels now, right?
Feng Qi's eyelids twitched, and he quickly took a few steps back, deciding not to argue with this person. Seeing that the demonic aura had weakened a bit, and that several cultivators had already entered the forest, he quickly followed.
You Youju thought she would also go in and try her luck, and also get a glimpse of the demeanor of this group of cultivators.
It seems that this transformed beast demon is indeed ferocious.
When he leisurely arrived at the "battlefield," several cultivators were already entangled in battle with it, and several others were seriously injured and carried away. Feng Qi was the main force among the attackers.
He and several fellow disciples stood at the four corners, each holding a sword in their right hand, the blades pointing to the sky. With their left hands forming a hand seal, they formed a Wind and Thunder Array. The purple array circle firmly imprisoned the beast demon within. The beast demon, unable to fight against eight hands with its two fists, was suppressed from above by the Wind and Thunder Array. It knelt on one knee, blood trickling from the corners of its mouth and eyes. It guarded the cave entrance fiercely, its eyes occasionally glancing towards the entrance. The human face there was twisted into a grimace, its teeth clenched tightly, revealing the ferocity of a wild beast.
It seems they've reached their limit.
With a roar, the beast broke through the magic array, knocking away Feng Qi and the other three. It couldn't even maintain its human form and leaped into the depths of the cliff bottom.
The beast demon was exhausted, so how could the cultivators give up? They all followed after it.
You Youju watched as the cultivators swarmed in like dumplings, then turned and entered the beast's abyss.
When the snipe and the clam fight, the fisherman benefits.
That beast demon risked his life to lure away the danger; there might be some treasure inside this old cave! He probably won't get a share of the treasure, so why shouldn't I get a piece of it myself?
The cave is deep and dark, and it still retains the habits of a beast's cave, so it seems that this beast demon has only recently transformed into human form.
The deeper you go, the more empty it becomes.
There were many faintly glowing crystals around, but Yu Youju didn't want them.
He used his spiritual sense to explore carefully and sensed that there must be a great treasure in the cave.
Finally, he stopped, for before him lay a piece of amethyst containing a small, spiritually powerful young beast: a fluffy, sleeping white creature.
But he hesitated, unable to take a step.
Knowing they were outnumbered, did the beast demon use the fragments of Yu Fu to transform into a demon core to protect the cub when the demonic energy weakened outside the forest? Since the beast demon committed evil, You Youju naturally had nothing to say about his death; having stolen the demon core, he even boasted about his own powerful magic.
But... this little beast... was it actually the mount?
You Youju suddenly came to her senses, waved her sleeve to put the sleeping cub and the surrounding spiritual herbs into her treasure pouch, turned around and went back, and sure enough, she encountered a flamboyant man.
The man unfolded his folding fan, concealing half of his smile, but his eyes gleamed with a smile like peach tree branches: "It seems you, brother, share my belief that this cave is extraordinary."
You Youju cupped his hands and smiled, intending to walk out of the cave. Unexpectedly, the man chased after him to the cave entrance, chattering incessantly, "I suppose the treasure has already been obtained by you, brother. I only ask to feast my eyes on it."
As You Youju walked, she sized up the man. He was undeniably handsome, almost like a man showered with fruit. However, his brightly colored clothes, while pleasing to the eye, also exuded a ostentatious air.
“There are plenty of spiritual herbs in the cave. Are you a pill cultivator? I can sell them to you at a high price!” You Youju gave a nonchalant smile.
The man seemed surprised that You Youju would say something so out of character, and followed closely behind: "I didn't expect that cultivators would also be so materialistic. Brother, please show me your treasures. If they are good items, I will spare no expense, even if it costs a fortune."
Wow, look how arrogant he is.
He was decked out in gold and silver, as if he wanted to have his wealth etched on his forehead.
You Youju displayed those few spiritual herbs, some of which were treasures, but none of them were particularly rare.
Sure enough, the man's eyes dimmed considerably, but he still asked, unwilling to give up, "Is that really all the beast's blood? Brother, I'm truly seeking treasure."
You Youju feigned annoyance: "If you're not going to buy it, don't waste my time. I need to exchange it for money! Why should I, a dignified cultivator, bother with lying and dealing with a brat like you?!"
The man's suspicion subsided, his delicate brows relaxed, and he apologized, saying, "It was my fault for being so rude. To express my remorse, I am willing to purchase these few spiritual herbs. Consider it as making friends with you, Immortal Master."
After saying that, he clapped his hands, and a shadow flashed out from the forest.
"Seven, give this immortal a hundred taels of silver."
The guard named "Seven" reached into his pocket and pulled out a silver note.
By this point, You Youju had already guessed most of it.
As expected, the man continued, "My name is Song Song. I usually enjoy making friends with immortals. I left in a hurry and didn't bring much cash with me. Please don't think it's too little and accept this money. May I ask which sect you belong to? I must treat you to a meal at your residence another day."
Song Song, the third young master of the Yongning Marquis's mansion, is obsessed with seeking immortality and cultivating the Dao, collecting treasures, and is a complete idiot. He comes from a wealthy family, so wealthy that it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he is richer than a country. He spends money like water. Later, because he was too stupid and loved to show off, he fell into the hands of Zhu Xun. Chao Lan had to go to great lengths to save him.
You Youju accepted money without hesitation, exchanging cash for goods immediately.
He turned and left, casually saying, "I was sent by Alibaba, and I'm a disciple of the Forty Great Dao (the Thief).
Song Song was left completely bewildered.
Seven: "Young master... is he lying to you?"
Song Song didn't believe it: "Go check it out... Maybe it's a reclusive master? But did you really see a huge amount of spiritual energy inside?"
7. "Your subordinates dare not deceive you."
Song Song sighed deeply, waved his fan, and headed back home.
Every move was as graceful as flowing wind and swirling snow, and her elegant figure was as lithe as a swimming dragon. This kind of graceful beauty was evident when she practiced swordsmanship in Zhu Xun.
The boy, barely a teenager, wore his hair in a single bun. His eyebrows and eyes were still round, yet he possessed a resolute spirit.
If becoming a demon king weren't irreversible, You Youju really wished he could live a normal life like this for the rest of his life, not being anything, just being a child.
Zhu Xun heard his footsteps and couldn't hide her excitement. She took two or three steps forward and wanted to go up to him: "Uncle."
You Youju nodded and invited him into the house.
Regarding the title of "uncle" instead of "master," You Youju believes: "I am only a novice myself, so I shouldn't be someone's master and mislead others. What if the Demon Emperor awakens in the future and feels ashamed, and tries to kill me to silence me?"
Although I'm thick-skinned, I still felt a little embarrassed to be called 'master'. But it's different with my uncle; this is a marriage alliance!
It's easier to say that my uncle is a mediocre person than my master.
Besides, being a master is a high-risk profession...
Zhu Xun followed You Youju into the house. You Youju mysteriously closed all the doors and windows, and then with a wave of her hand, a huge amethyst containing the cub floated in the room.
Zhu Xun: "Uncle, what is this?"
You Youju: "This is a spirit beast that your uncle found for you. You will cultivate with it from now on. There's no time to lose, so acknowledge it as your master now."
Zhu Xun took a step back, his expression strange: "Uncle... how do we raise a spirit beast?"
You Youju was stunned: "Raising spirit beasts?...Does this thing need us to raise it? I thought it could raise itself."
Zhu Xun smiled helplessly. Over the years, his uncle had basically been clueless about everything. He had taught him martial arts for two years in a daze. If he hadn't actually made some progress, he would have really doubted whether his uncle knew any magic at all.
After all, he would only give him two self-made booklets to figure out by himself. Although he would occasionally give him some pointers to solve his "difficult problems" and would sometimes "go into seclusion to cultivate" like a legendary immortal, he was too undisciplined. He still had to go to the bookstore to learn and draw inferences from other books.
But in fact, You Youju really didn't know. He couldn't very well say that he got this level of cultivation by chance, could he?
Zhu Xun was used to making excuses for You Youju, and he felt that this was the immortal testing him to see if he was worthy of being his disciple.
You Youju, acting as if nothing had happened, put her arm around him and leaned down to say, "Hehe, don't act like a little adult! Your uncle's here! Let's name it!"
As long as You Youju smiles, Zhu Xun's gloom and anxiety can be dispelled and he can see the bright moon. After all, what can't the immortal uncle do?
"Po Jun".
You Youju asked in confusion, "'Po Jun' is a star that consumes resources, which sounds like it's not easy to control. Why not call it another nicer name, 'Yao Guang'?"
Zhu Xun used a dagger to cut open his index finger and dripped the blood onto the amethyst.
Even the decisive Youyou Ju felt a pang of heartache for a moment.
The crimson blood and purple light seemed to reflect each other, flashing a dazzling light.
You Youju squinted because of the bright light.
Then the purple light surged, as if it wanted to devour the blood energy, extremely arrogant. But as drops of Zhu Xun's blood fell vertically, it was like water extinguishing fire, suppressing the ferocious demonic energy, and dissolving the amethyst as if melting ice.
The fifteen-year-old boy before them remained expressionless, his eyes devouring any hint of arrogance, a hint of ferocity lurking beneath the shadows cast by the light: "Uncle, without destruction there can be no construction; who will consume and who will replenish?"
This was the first time You Youju had truly witnessed the demonic energy emanating from Zhu Xun, so flamboyant and decisive.
You Youju suddenly smiled, bent down to heal Zhu Xun's index finger, and said softly, "Po Jun it is. It seems that the teacher in your school is not just a name. He knows more than I do."
The amethyst had completely dissolved, becoming a concentrated crystal. This was one of the fragments of the Yu Fu Spirit Jade, and one of the main reasons why You Youju was searching for the White Lion.
The cub was reborn with Zhu Xun's blood and affectionately squatted down beside Zhu Xun's legs, completely accepting him as its master.
