The last time I saw Sister Liu, she had normal yellow skin. Now, she looks almost like a black person from Africa.
Seeing that Sister Liu hadn't gone into the security room but was instead waiting under the shade of a tree, Shen Yanming parked the car at the entrance of the security room, held up a parasol, and pulled Bi Qiaoan over.
"Why didn't you go sit in the security room, sister? It's so sunny here!" Shen Yanming asked.
Sister Liu waved her hand, "I'm embarrassed to go. I take care of these chickens and ducks every day, and I smell a bit strong!"
Following Sister Liu's hand, Bi Qiaoan looked at the small pickup truck beside her. The truck bed was piled high with iron cages, which were crammed full of fluffy chicks. "Sister, why did you bring so many chicks?"
As soon as Bi Qiaoan spoke, Sister Liu laughed, "Girl, you're hiding it too well. I wouldn't recognize you if you didn't speak."
I brought chickens and ducks from several different places; after delivering them to you, I still have to deliver them to other places. I've been so busy lately, I'm really sorry to have made you come so early in the morning."
Looking at Sister Liu's dark skin, Bi Qiaoan felt a growing sense of familiarity. "Sister, have you been out delivering chicks lately?"
"Yes, I have to go out several times a day. It's so hot today. Look how sunburned my face is, I'm almost as dark as a black person!"
But there's nothing we ordinary folks can do; we can only take advantage of this time to make money. We can only console ourselves that even if our skin gets tanned dark, it'll all be fine again by winter.
Bi Qiaoan nodded, and Sister Liu climbed onto her small pickup truck and took out more than a dozen chicks from the cage in the cargo compartment. "Look, they're all so lively."
Bi Qiaoan quite liked the chattering, fluffy creatures and put them one by one into her basket.
"These are the ones I found for you; they're more expensive than the chicks." Sister Liu then took out two more fluffy chicks that didn't look like the chicks.
Bi Qiaoan recognized him as Xiaogezi, happily thanked Sister Liu, and then sent Sister Liu the final payment.
After receiving the money, Sister Liu said goodbye to Shen Yanming and Bi Qiaoan and left. Before leaving, she said, "Girl, remember to introduce business to your sister. If you want anything else, you can call me and I'll try my best to find it for you!"
"Okay, please be careful on the road, sister!"
Sister Liu felt a little guilty after hearing Bi Qiaoan's instructions. The reason she came to deliver the goods so early in the morning was because business had been so good lately, and she was in a hurry to sell the chicks on the truck and continue setting up her stall on the weekend.
Shen Yanming and Bi Qiaoan were unaware of Sister Liu's inner thoughts, but even if they had known, they wouldn't have minded, after all, life is not easy.
After Sister Liu left, Bi Qiaoan took Shen Yanming's arm and started walking back, but they were stopped by the security guard at the entrance as soon as they entered the community.
Because of Chen Shunwei and Wang Lai's relationship, the security guards knew that Shen Yanming and Bi Qiaoan were easy to talk to and that the two were very thoughtful. So, when they saw the two of them drive their car to the gate and stop, they were a little suspicious. Then they peeked at Shen Yanming and Bi Qiaoan through the window.
Because they were a bit far away, they could only see what the two men took from the woman. So, when the two men returned, the security guards invited them in to ask them what was going on.
Shen Yanming didn't mind; he had thought of it when he parked the car at the entrance.
Shen Yanming generously handed over the bamboo basket for everyone to see, and even explained his plan to them.
The security guards felt that Shen Yanming had opened a door to a new world for them, so after they had noted down Sister Liu's contact information, they specifically said to Shen Yanming, "We'll mention your names when we buy chicks, and try to get all the ones our security team buys registered under your names."
Shen Yanming waved his hand, "No need, no need, we already have quite a few. Too many would be too much trouble. No matter how many chicks Sister Liu gives us in the end, they will be considered the common property of the security team and kept for everyone to eat."
The security guards thanked them happily and then went to count the number of chicks everyone wanted.
After returning home, Shen Yanming and Bi Qiaoan put the chicks into their spatial storage, but they still used their consciousness to keep them together and prevent them from running around.
After discussing it with Shen Yanming, Bi Qiaoan filled a small paper cup with the energy rainwater and placed it in front of the two goslings. The two goslings excitedly circled the small paper cup and soon drank all the energy rainwater.
When the big goose saw Bi Qiaoan feeding the goslings the energy rainwater, it rushed over and quacked angrily and disappointedly at Bi Qiaoan, as if to say, "Don't you love me anymore now that you have other goslings!"
Bi Qiaoan quickly picked up her big goose, "Oh my, you've gotten so much heavier in just a short time. Come and see the little friend I found for you."
The goose turned its head away and refused to look at anything.
Bi Qiaoan laughed. This arrogant attitude really was just like a child's.
Bi Qiaoan stroked the neck of the gosling, "I'm going to take them out. In a little while, tell the two goslings to take good care of the chicks, make sure they eat well and grow up properly, and when the chicks are grown up, make sure they brood properly and don't brood with the brooder!"
Bi Qiaoan didn't know how much the goose could understand, but she still held out hope. After observing it for so long, the goose's intelligence was beyond doubt.
“I’m different from you guys, I don’t understand your way of communicating, so, big goose, you’d better take good care of them for me.”
The goose seemed to understand and nodded, then quacked at the group of chicks for a while.
Bi Qiaoan put the goose on the ground, and a bunch of fluffy things came over and circled around it. The goose proudly raised its head, and Bi Qiaoan quickly patted its head and praised it.
Afterwards, Shen Yanming and Bi Qiaoan harvested and planted the grains and fruits that needed to be harvested in the space. Then they slaughtered a batch of the chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, cattle and sheep that had grown up and put them into the storage area. They also caught a batch of fish, shrimp and crabs from the lake and put them into the storage area.
After finishing all this, Bi Qiaoan felt a little tired, so she went to the mobile villa to rest, while Shen Yanming went to the study to continue studying the prescriptions.
At six o'clock in the evening, as the sun was about to set, Shen Yanming and Bi Qiaoan took the chicks and goslings out of the space.
They were dressed the same as they had that morning. Shen Yanming was carrying a chicken coop, and Bi Qiaoan was carrying a small bamboo basket. The two attracted a lot of attention along the way.
No one knew what the two were up to, so a lot of people followed them.
Shen Yanming and Bi Qiaoan didn't try to hide from anyone. After walking along the path to their own land, they started assembling chicken coops without even opening the door.
Everyone watched from the sidelines, occasionally asking a question. Shen Yanming didn't hide anything and proactively gave everyone Sister Liu's contact information.
Shen Yanming intended to reveal this, but some people took it to heart while others just watched the spectacle.
