"At first I didn't know what was going on. It wasn't until I went to the restroom after the banquet that I overheard two waiters talking to each other and that's when I understood what was happening."
They did this to prevent Michelle's relatives and friends from taking advantage of her.
Yu Shui continued, "You don't know, do you? Actually, most of the people sitting in the hall are the bride's relatives. Because they feel that Michelle has married up, there are a lot of relatives and friends attending the wedding banquet."
But actually, the men's close friends were all eating in the private rooms. The dishes were completely different from those in the main hall; there was meat and vegetables, and the portions were incredibly generous. I only saw this when I walked to the doors of those private rooms and caught a break while the food was being served.

What many people don't know is that Michelle skipped work for a week recently to pursue her current husband.

She is pressured to get married every day, and her parents arrange various blind dates for her.
Her parents wanted to find her a husband from a family with few members and plenty of land. However, she looked down on men from the countryside, so she had to find someone she liked herself.
She had actually come to the workplace that day, but found it dark inside with only a few people around, so she left.
Later, on her way home, she met her current husband.
A man who was seriously injured and fell into a coma after a car accident caused by the weather.
Later, Michelle called for an ambulance, reported the incident to the police, and then accompanied the other person during surgery.
They took care of the other person for several days after they woke up.
Michelle was willing to go to such lengths, of course, because he drove a luxury car and was tall and handsome. She figured that even if she couldn't win him over, his connections should be able to introduce her to a decent boyfriend.

She locked herself in a dark room all night, and only came to a conclusion at dawn. No matter what, she decided to try first, and only make a choice if all else failed.
The next morning, Michelle went to the hospital for a check-up on an empty stomach, and then took the report to Cheng's father.
She didn't approach Cheng Jun directly because subconsciously she felt he wouldn't let her give birth to the child. So she could only turn to Cheng's father, the man with the most authority in the Cheng family.
When Cheng's father saw the report, he was first startled, and then looked at Michelle with sharp eyes.
Seeing that she showed no remorse, he finally believed that the child in her belly was Cheng Jun's.
"Speak, what do you want?" Cheng's father asked calmly.
Michelle hadn't expected the other person to be so cold, and she was a little scared. It seemed that the baby was probably lost. Nevertheless, she still voiced her thoughts.
“If your family is willing to accept me, then please let Chengjun marry me as soon as possible. If Chengjun, or you and your wife, do not agree, then please compensate me with money and supplies, and I will abort the child myself.”
Michelle's words made Cheng's father think more highly of her.
She didn't cry or whine, and she didn't insist on marrying into the family. Therefore, he was willing to give Michelle a chance.
"Go back first, Chengjun, his mother, and I will discuss it and give you an answer later."
