"Qiao An, right? Please sit down for a while, and we'll talk after I'm done with my work here." Wen Chao gestured to the seat next to him.
Bi Qiaoan nodded: "Okay, you go ahead and do your work."
Then he sat down next to her.
She waited for more than half an hour. She didn't waste any time and used her consciousness to collect the food in her space.
Once everyone in the office was gone, Wen Chaohui asked, "What brings you here today? Is there something you need?"
Bi Qiaoan snapped out of her daze and took out the medicine packet and frostbite cream from her bag.
“Captain Li is out on a mission, and I don’t know who to contact. These medicine packets are for warming up and can prevent colds and fevers. The ointment is for frostbite; although it’s mainly for treatment, it should also be useful for prevention. I think the guards might find it useful.”
Wen Chaohui's eyes lit up with excitement: "It can be used, it can be used, we need it right now!"
Feeling he had lost his composure, Wen Chaohui straightened his expression and said, "We've sent out too many guards on missions lately, and almost every one of them needs these medicines. The guard team's inventory is simply not enough, and we were just worried about it."
Bi Qiaoan nodded: "Then please arrange for someone to deliver the medicinal herbs to my home. I'll work overtime these next few days to make as many as possible."
"Okay!" Wen Chao smiled with relief, then remembered something and asked, "I remember, you had twins, right? Little Shen is on a mission, can you take care of them all by yourself? Also, now that you're out, what about the babies?"
"They are twins, a boy and a girl. I only had a chance to come out and deliver the medicine when the children were asleep. My two babies are very well-behaved, and I'll let them play by themselves for the next couple of days. It's a special situation, so I can't worry about anything else."
"How about I send a guard over to help?"
Although Wen Chaohui is a big shot, he also has a family and knows how tiring it is to take care of two innocent babies, which is why he asked this kind question.
But Bi Qiaoan shook her head: "No need, no need. The guards are so busy right now, there's really no need to send anyone to my house to help. Just hold on for a few days, it'll be fine."
If there are outsiders present, using this space will be inconvenient.
Wen Chaohui was not annoyed by the rejection. He smiled and nodded, "Alright then, I'll send someone to deliver and pick up your medicine every day for the next two days. If you're too busy, just tell him."
"Okay, I'll try to make more medicine packs so our guards don't get sick. By the way, it used to be a young comrade named Gao Tingshi who delivered the medicine, is it alright to switch to someone else now?"
"It's alright, I'll handle these."
“Well, communication devices are all unusable now, so it’s not easy to find someone.” Bi Qiaoan said with a sweet smile, “Then I won’t bother you any longer, I’ll head back now.”
Wen Chaohui nodded and instructed his secretary to see Bi Qiaoan off.
"No need, it's not far, I can go back by myself."
"Let Xiao Jiang deliver it. It's snowing heavily outside, and it's already dark. We're worried about you going alone."
"Alright then, I'll leave it to Secretary Jiang. Officer Wen, please remember to rest during your work. Look at your dark circles, they're really bad."
Wen Chao smiled but said nothing. The situation outside was serious; how could he possibly rest peacefully?
Knowing his difficulties, Bi Qiaoan nodded and left with Secretary Jiang.
Neither of them spoke on the way. It wasn't until they reached the dormitory door that Jiang Shulian said, "Close the door properly. Don't open it for anyone until Xiao Shen comes back." Although they were in the guard unit, there was no electricity, and no one could say for sure if something might happen.
"Okay, I understand. Secretary Jiang, please be careful on your journey," Bi Qiaoan said.
"Okay, go to sleep early." Jiang Shulian left after Bi Qiaoan closed the door.
He still had to go back to the office building; as long as the boss didn't take a break, he would have to work overtime as well.
Looking at the empty room, Bi Qiaoan felt a little uncomfortable. She flashed into her spatial dimension and took a good shower in the mobile villa.
After washing up, I checked the time and found that it was already 9:30 and Shen Yanming still hadn't returned.
She felt uneasy, but she suppressed the urge to go out and look for someone. She went to the kitchen, got some ingredients, and started making dinner.
I thought I'd be back soon, so I didn't even eat dinner. I didn't expect my husband to still be out so late.
Bi Qiaoan was lost in her own thoughts and didn't notice the commotion outside the space.
When she finished cooking and was about to bring the food to the dining room, she turned her head and found Shen Yanming standing at the door with a smile, watching her.
"When did you get back? Why didn't you say anything?"
"I just got back not long ago, and when I heard you muttering to yourself, I thought it was quite cute, so I didn't disturb you."
Bi Qiaoan rolled her eyes: "Are you watching a joke? And listen to what I'm rambling about?"
Shen Yanming touched his nose: "No, no!" He then changed the subject: "What are you making? It smells so good!"
"Didn't you see? I just cooked some noodles. By the way, why are you so late today?"
"Everyone was really into this afternoon, but we accidentally went too far and two of our guys ended up in the hospital. We just got them settled in and came right back," Shen Yanming explained briefly.
Bi Qiaoan nodded, handed him the bowl, and casually mentioned what she had done that day.
“I probably won’t go out to collect ice anymore. I’d rather use that time to get more medicine.”
"Okay, leave everything outside to me. You can stay home and relax. If you get tired, take a break. Don't put too much pressure on yourself."
The couple went to bed after dinner. It had been a long time since they'd been online, and lying on the soft, large bed felt incredibly comfortable.
However, he still had to work the next day, so Shen Yanming got up early in the morning, ate something casually, and left the space.
After everyone left, Bi Qiaoan couldn't sleep either. She steamed an egg for herself, ate it with some buns, and then left the space.
I also brought the two babies out with me, and while they were still asleep, I quickly started processing the remaining medicinal herbs.
The two babies woke up at 8:30 in the morning. As soon as they woke up, they cried for milk and then peed their diapers until they were smelly.
An'an and Nuannuan are older now and they're starting to feel shy. What can we do? They have no idea when they poop!
Bi Qiaoan smiled and pinched their little mouths, but still said, "Wait, we can only eat after we change your diapers."
Neither baby cried; they just stood there stiffly, afraid to move.
After taking out hot water from her spatial storage and washing the babies' bottoms, Bi Qiaoan changed them into clean diapers.
After feeding them both, I was about to continue preparing the medicine when I heard someone knocking on the door.
"Coming!" Bi Qiaoan called out, then got up to open the door.
Then I saw several guards standing at the door carrying large boxes.
"Hello, are you Ms. Qiao An?"
