Chapter 19 Graduation

In June, Qinghai University began its thesis defenses.

After the date was set, Bi Qiaoan finally felt the sadness of parting. This was the last "exam," and after the defense, everyone would go their separate ways.

Bi Qiaoan walked to the podium and spoke eloquently about her ideas. Afterwards, she was asked a few questions by the teachers about the issues raised in her paper.

When the teachers nodded in approval, Bi Qiaoan breathed a sigh of relief. The thesis was written before her rebirth, but she hadn't remembered much of it after her return, and it was only after several revisions during this period that she was able to successfully complete the defense.

Just like in her previous life, Song Wenwen was awarded an excellent paper, while Chen Jin and Jiang Shanshan, like herself, were only rated as qualified.

Chen Jin was somewhat disappointed, as she had thought she would receive an excellent rating.

"Qiao An, meet at the library entrance at 6:30 tomorrow morning to take graduation photos!" Bi Qiao An had just hung up the phone with class monitor Niu Jun when Song Wenwen and the other two received the notification one after another.

Bi Qiaoan: "It seems everyone has received the notice. I'm at 6:30 tomorrow. What about you guys?"

Chen Jin, "Tomorrow at six o'clock."

Jiang Shanshan, "Six o'clock the day after tomorrow."

Song Wenwen, "Tomorrow at 5:50."

"Damn it, is this discrimination? Why am I the only one who has to go the day after tomorrow?" Jiang Shanshan was a little overwhelmed. She had already been getting up late every day recently, and it was bad enough that she had to get up early to take graduation photos, but she also had to go alone.

“The sun is strong in the summer, so we can only take photos for a short time in the early morning. That’s about it. I can always go with you the day after tomorrow morning,” Song Wenwen said, patting Jiang Shanshan’s head.

On the day of the photoshoot, Bi Qiaoan put on light makeup, wore a light blue chiffon cake dress, and off-white high-heeled sandals before setting off.

Looking at her energetic classmates, Bi Qiaoan sighed, wondering what they would be like the next time they met, and whether they could hold on.

On the Dragon Boat Festival, Bi Qiaoan went to her class to pick up her graduation certificate and graduation photo. The girl in the photo was smiling brightly. Bi Qiaoan gently stroked the photo and silently said in her heart, "It's different now. This life will definitely be different."

After that came the final revelry. Bi Qiaoan's law department had set their dinner date for the day after the Dragon Boat Festival at the Anning Hotel, which was only two kilometers away from the school. Coincidentally, Chen Jin's Chinese department and Xiao Fei's computer science department also had their dinners on the same day, at the Anning Hotel, but on different floors.

Everything is exactly the same as in the previous life.

On this day, Bi Qiaoan is searching for the truth of her past life.

Today's gathering was impressive, with over a hundred students together. Originally, each class was supposed to have their own dinner, but after a discussion among the class leaders, they decided to have a joint dinner. They figured everyone knew each other, and they might need to interact with each other again after graduation, so it was a good way to build connections in advance.

The atmosphere was great, lively, and not chaotic at all. Teachers gave their blessings, students shared their thoughts, and people performed their talents. Oh, and two couples successfully confessed their love.

Bi Qiaoan didn't drink much tonight, but she pretended to be dizzy and observed the people around her.

The meal ended peacefully.

Afterwards, we went to the KTV next to the hotel. This time, the activities were organized by class. More than thirty people squeezed into a large private room. The girls picked their favorite songs, the boys played games, and occasionally they would cheer each other on and sing along.

Bi Qiaoan raised her wine glass, took a small sip, and felt a little dizzy.

What happened in my past life? Why couldn't I find the ring the next day? Did I accidentally drop it, or did someone take it?

Bi Qiaoan covered her chest with her right hand; it was still there.

"Qiao An, your phone is ringing!" Bi Qiao An was still lost in thought when she was woken up by the person next to her.

Everyone's bags were piled together, and the music in the private room masked the ringing of cell phones. Only those sitting closest could faintly hear a cell phone ringing. After searching around, they would find the bag, ask each other, and find out whose it was.

No one would pull open the bag to take out their phone and hand it to the other person; instead, they would simply pass the bag to the other person. Bi Qiaoan thought to herself that her classmates were all decent people, and it probably wasn't them who took the ring in her past life.

Could it be that in my past life I drank too much and fell into a private room, a restroom, or on the road?

"Qiao An, I'm back. Where are you? Why is it so noisy?" It turned out to be Shen Yanming's call. This was something that didn't exist in my previous life. It seems that things are going to change in this life, and I probably won't be able to find the answers.

"We had our graduation dinner today, and now we're having fun at the Garden KTV."

"Have you been drinking? Wait here, I'll come pick you up, I'll be there in about fifteen minutes."

"You're back?" Bi Qiaoan's voice was full of surprise; the person she hadn't seen for almost two months was finally back.

"Yeah, I just arrived this afternoon. I called you as soon as I settled in. See you in a bit." Shen Yanming hung up the phone, started the car, and drove towards Garden KTV.

"Qiao An, who is it? Why are you so surprised?" The girl who helped hand over the bag asked Bi Qiao An in an ambiguous tone.

"Hehe, my fiancé is here to pick me up." Bi Qiaoan chuckled, perhaps because she had drunk a bit too much tonight, making her seem a little silly and naive.

"Bi Qiaoan, you actually have a fiancé!" A girl's exclamation silenced the private room instantly, leaving only the background music playing.

Lin Yueyue quickly apologized, "Hehe, sorry, sorry, I disturbed everyone. I was just too surprised. Qiao An is the youngest flower in our class. I'm twenty-four this year and I don't even have a boyfriend, while she's already talking about marriage."

"Hey, you there, hurry up and confess your feelings, your Yueyue is desperate to get married." A boy joked after hearing this, and to everyone's surprise, someone actually stood up and confessed.
