Chapter 102: Benefiting from the Opportunities

Zhou Mo put away his phone and waited obediently downstairs.

A few minutes later, Han Chen came out of Gate 17.

He was not wearing a white coat, but Zhou Mo still found him in the crowd at a glance.

It’s not that Zhou Mo is particularly sensitive to him, it’s just that Han Chen is tall and has long legs, and his hair is cut very short. Although he is wearing a shirt and trousers, his gentle attire and bad-feeling hairstyle are a bit inconsistent and a bit handsome.

At the same time, Han Chen also discovered Zhou Mo. After all, her fluffy waist-length hair was too iconic.

"Why did you come down?" Zhou Mo asked.

"The one who came is your junior brother's father." Han Chen said coldly.

Zhou Mo didn't understand. "What do you mean by that?"

Han Chen pursed his lips, glanced at her coldly, and said nothing more.

Zhou Mo handed him the thing in his hand and said, "This, my parents asked me to bring it to you."

Han Chen's expression softened. "Chicken soup again?"

"No," Zhou Mo said, "It's the big rooster you sent this morning."

Han Chen took it and asked, "Why did you give me this?"

Zhou Mo: "My parents said we can't eat for free, and they also said they felt sorry for you being busy with work, so they asked me to bring it to you."

A barely perceptible smile gradually appeared on Han Chen's face. "Thank them for me."

Zhou Mo looked at the change in Han Chen's expression and felt a chill down his spine.

The two stood downstairs for ten minutes before Liu Kai and his parents arrived.

Liu Kai's father, Liu Taichu, had poor legs and feet. When getting out of the taxi, it took Liu Kai's mother and Liu Kai to help him and barely move him out of the car.

There was still some distance from the entrance to the hospital building. Han Chen saw this scene and stuffed the things in his hand back to Zhou Mo, "Help me hold it."

He walked towards Liu Kai's family.

Liu Kai was trying his best to support his father to prevent Liu Taichu from falling.

Seeing this, Han Chen said, "Let your mother hold on first, and you come with me."

Liu Kai looked at Han Chen with distrust.

Mother Liu looked at Han Chen who suddenly appeared and asked in confusion: "Kaikai, this is..."

Liu Kai looked at Han Chen and introduced him, "The doctor my senior sister recommended is named Han."

Mother Liu quickly greeted him, "Hello, Dr. Han."

Han Chen nodded slightly, "Hello, can you help the patient first?"

Liu's mother didn't understand why, but she still said, "Yes, yes."

She took Liu Taichu from Liu Kai's arms, hugged his waist, and tried her best to stand him up.

"Come with me," Han Chen said to Liu Kai.

Liu Kai didn't know what he was going to do, but Han Chen's unyielding tone made him unconsciously lose some momentum.

He followed Han Chen.

Passing by Zhou Mo, Zhou Mo wanted to ask something, but Han Chen said, "Wait here."

The first floor lobby of Building No. 3.

There is a row of shared folding wheelchairs in the corner.

Han Chen pointed to the QR code on the wheelchair and said, "Scan."

The moment Liu Kai saw the wheelchair, he understood what Han Chen meant. He immediately scanned the code with his mobile phone and the wheelchair was quickly unlocked.

Han Chen pulled out the wheelchair, bent down to unfasten the buckle, opened the folding wheelchair, and handed it directly to Liu Kai.

He didn't say a word the whole time, but Liu Kai understood what he meant.

"Thank you," Liu Kai pushed the wheelchair and hurried outside to push Liu Taichu in.

When going upstairs.

Han Chen kept pressing the elevator up button outside to prevent the elevator door from closing.

Liu Kai and his mother pushed Liu Taichu into the elevator.

Zhou Mo followed, Han Chen let go of his hand, walked into the elevator, and stood side by side with Zhou Mo, facing the elevator door.

Zhou Mo knew that Han Chen didn't like Liu Kai and wouldn't have much communication with him, and Liu Kai wasn't the type of person who could actively socialize.

Fearing that the atmosphere was too dull, Zhou Mo said, "Auntie, you must be exhausted from the journey here, right?"

Liu's mother replied, "It's not that far. Lincheng isn't far from Dongjiang. It's just...his father has trouble walking, so he has to rest every few steps."

Liu Taichu is not paralyzed and unable to walk. He has received treatment before and it has been effective to a certain extent. He can get out of bed and walk around, but the treatment cannot last too long because his old injuries have not healed well. If he keeps moving for a long time, he will be in so much pain that he cannot stand.

When Liu Taichu got off the taxi just now, he was in so much pain from walking all the way that he had to use external force to keep his feet.

Mother Liu looked worried and couldn't help looking at Han Chen, because he was the hope of their whole family.

"Lincheng People's Hospital also recommended us to come to the First Hospital of Dongda University. The doctor there said that the orthopedics department here is very good, but I don't know if my husband's leg can be cured," Liu's mother couldn't help but glance at Han Chen's back.

Seeing Han Chen's aura that kept strangers away, Mother Liu felt inexplicably uneasy.

Zhou Mo knew that it was not easy for Liu Kai's family to come all the way to Dongjiang to seek medical treatment, and he also knew that Liu Taichu's condition was the top priority for their family.

They must have wanted Han Chen to say some comforting words to ease their minds, but Han Chen was very strict in his work and was not someone who could say soft words.

Zhou Mo could only take matters into his own hands and said, "Don't worry, the orthopedics department of the First Hospital of Dongda University is well-known nationwide. There must be a way. Right, Doctor Han?"

Han Chen turned around and politely said to Liu's mother, "I've reviewed the patient's X-rays. We need to conduct a more detailed examination of the patient's condition. Let him be admitted to the hospital today, and the necessary tests will be done tomorrow. The director will be making rounds the day after tomorrow, Monday, and we can have them assess the situation."

When Mrs. Liu heard that she could see the director, she felt relieved. "Thank you, thank you, Doctor Han."

"You're welcome." Han Chen remained cold and polite.

The elevator stopped and the doors opened.

Han Chen got out of the elevator first. He still habitually pressed the up button outside the elevator to prevent the door from closing.

After everyone came out, Han Chen said, "Come with me."

Liu Kai pushed Liu Taichu and followed Han Chen closely, while Liu's mother and Zhou Mo walked behind.
