Chapter 15 Are you satisfied?

Liang Dongyan didn't tell Liang Xinyun about getting the marriage certificate, but he said that she and Han Chen "had a chance". Zhou Mo couldn't help but wonder if Liang Dongyan had a problem with his eyes.

She and Han Chen, with old and new grudges mixed together, were almost enemies who met on a narrow road.

Just because they lived next door to each other, were high school classmates, and old friends, and taking into account the shallow friendship between the two, they did not mindlessly tear each other apart.

I don’t know what Han Chen is thinking, but Weekend felt that she had done a lot of things that were wrong to Han Chen.

She also didn't think about reconciling with Han Chen with a smile.

If Han Chen wants revenge, just come at me.

Liang Xinyun asked again: "How did you and Han Chen meet this time?"

"Oh, the lawyer my mentor introduced to me was also Liang Dongyan. Han Chen happened to be with him, so we met."

"I'm not talking about this time," Liang Xinyun asked, "I'm talking about how you met for the first time after Han Chen came back two months ago."

"Uh..." Zhou Mo didn't know how to answer.

The first time I met... was when Han Chen came to my house in the rain late at night.

It was Han Chen who took the initiative to find her. Once Liang Xinyun said this, she would start to get to the bottom of it.

She couldn't help but ask why Han Chen took the initiative to look for her.

She couldn't say that Han Chen came to her house to get married, right?

"We just... met by chance," Zhou Mo deliberately ignored that day and chose the next day's event, saying, "My ex-boyfriend is in the hospital, and Han Chen is his attending physician."

Sure enough, the three words "ex-boyfriend" worked very well. Liang Xinyun's face immediately fell and her smile disappeared.

"Are you still in touch with your ex-boyfriend?"

"It's impossible that we haven't been in contact. I have a lawsuit against him."

"That's good," Liang Xinyun suddenly breathed a sigh of relief.

"kindness?"

Liang Xinyun quickly changed her words, "No, I mean...with Liang Dongyan's help, everything can be solved."

Zhou Mo didn't think much about it.

It was dark by the time dinner was served.

Liang Xinyun bought a free-range chicken and said she wanted to make a soup. Zhou Mo said that it would be faster to cook it in a pressure cooker, but Liang Xinyun insisted on stewing it slowly in a casserole, saying that it tasted better.

This stew takes several hours.

Zhou Mo didn't want to leave, so he could only stay. Unexpectedly, it was already dark when he stayed there.

Since tomorrow was Sunday, Liang Xinyun had even more reason to say, "I don't have to work tomorrow, so there's no need to delay. If you feel it's too late to go home, you can ask Han Chen to take you home later."

What else could Zhou Mo say? Liang Xinyun had already thought of all the ways out for her.

Liang Xinyun is an elder, an old friend of Zhou Mo's parents, and a neighbor aunt who has not seen her for many years. Zhou Mo has always been well-behaved and sensible in front of his elders. How could he go against Liang Xinyun's wishes?

At the dinner table, Liang Xinyun specifically reminded Han Chen: "Pour Momo a bowl of chicken soup! The soup is so close to you, isn't it just a matter of handing it over?"

Only then did Han Chen notice the pot of chicken soup in front of him. He stood up, filled a bowl, and placed it next to Zhou Mo.

Zhou Mo smiled and watched all this as if he was watching a good show.

With his chin propped up on his hand, he looked relaxed and asked jokingly, "So you've changed so much now. Is it all because of what your aunt taught you little by little?"

Zhou Mo's initial impression of Han Chen was that he was dull, rigid, and had no tact. But now he is different. He has learned to unscrew the bottle cap when giving water to a girl, and he can also help her press the elevator button.

It's a bit like learning to be a gentleman.

Han Chen ignored Zhou Mo and served another bowl to Liang Xinyun, "Mom, you try it too."

Liang Xinyun took it with satisfaction and turned to ask Zhou Mo: "Momo, how is our Han Chen doing now? Are you satisfied?"

Zhou Mo blushed, "...very good."

Why did he suddenly ask her whether she was satisfied or not? It seemed as if Han Chen tried his best to change just to cater to her evaluation.

She added, "But even if I'm satisfied, it doesn't matter. Han Chen's future partner must be satisfied."

Liang Xinyun's smile froze on her face, and she said unnaturally, "Eat some food, eat some food."

He picked up a piece of pork ribs for each of Zhou Mo and Han Chen.

Dinner is over.

Liang Xinyun refused to let Zhou Mo enter the kitchen and insisted that she sit in the living room and watch TV. She also said that since Han Chen didn't cook, he should be responsible for washing the dishes.

He pulled Zhou Mo to sit on the sofa and started chatting about all sorts of things.

Zhou Mo felt very uncomfortable. He looked at the time and knew that he had to go no matter what.

Afraid that Liang Xinyun would find another excuse, he just let her stay here overnight.

Zhou Mo suddenly had an idea. He opened the bag, took out a brand new sapphire blue velvet jewelry box and opened it.

A silver diamond brooch lay quietly inside, and the rhinestones scattered colorful starlight.

"Auntie, I came in a hurry and didn't bring any gifts. This brooch is for you."

"Ah, how can this be? You and Han Chen are classmates, and we are neighbors. Just having you come over is enough to make me happy, so why are you giving me something?"

Zhou Mo took out the brooch and sat forward. "It's just a small gift. I can't eat your meal for free, right? I'll put it on you."

When it comes to coaxing elders, Zhou Mo feels that he is the best.

Help Liang Xinyun put it on and push Liang Xinyun to look in the mirror.

I didn't notice that the bag on the sofa was not placed properly, and half of it was hanging over the edge of the sofa.

Liang Xinyun looked at herself in the bathroom mirror, her face filled with uncontrollable joy.

"Very beautiful." Liang Xinyun couldn't help but praise.

"I'm glad you like it," Zhou Mo said, pretending to check the time while trying to cheer Liang Xinyun up. "It's getting late, and I should go back. Aunt Liang, I'll come see you next time."

With the gift, Liang Xinyun naturally kept smiling, "Okay, I'll let Han Chen send it to you later."

"No, I can just take a taxi. This place is not far from where I live."

As they were talking, they walked towards the living room and looked up to find that Zhou Mo's bag had fallen off the sofa.

Some of the contents of the bag were scattered around the corner of the sofa.

Lipstick, powder box, small mirror, and hair conditioner were all poured out. The farthest away and the most eye-catching was a small square object with serrated edges.

Anyone with a discerning eye can tell what it is.

"Momo, you..."

Zhou Mo was so embarrassed that she almost died. Without thinking twice, she hurried forward and put the things into her bag.

Just as she was reaching out to take the square little thing, a hand suddenly appeared and took the square little thing away before her.

Zhou Mo looked up and saw Han Chen stand up and put the things into his pocket as if nothing had happened. He said calmly, "You should have let me put it in yesterday."

Zhou Mo looked confused, his mind full of questions.

What is he saying, Chinese?

Zhou Mo's brain suddenly stopped working.

Liang Xinyun was the first to react. She helped Zhou Mo up and pushed Han Chen. "Hurry up and send Momo back. It's so late. Hurry."

Like a whirlwind, before Zhou Mo could react to the meaning of Han Chen's words, Zhou Mo and Han Chen were both sent out of the house by Liang Xinyun.

Zhou Mo turned around and looked at the closed door, staring at Han Chen fiercely.

Han Chen ignored him and walked into the elevator. "Do you want to go?"

Zhou Mo walked into the elevator, slinging her bag. After the elevator door closed, she asked unhappily, "What did you mean by that just now?"
