Han Chen paused for a moment.
He changed his words and said, "If you buy it, I will take it."
Zhou Mo raised his eyes and said seriously, "Tell me what you really think. Don't give me a perfunctory answer just to cater to my ideas. Let me ask you again, do you want it or not?"
Han Chen pursed his lips and looked deeply at Zhou Mo, "I haven't been in touch for a long time..."
Zhou Mo picked up the box containing the model airplane and walked straight to the counter.
"Bill, please."
"Momo," Han Chen chased after her.
Zhou Mo ignored him.
The cashier glanced at the two of them and scanned the barcode on the box.
Zhou Mo showed his payment code and asked the waiter to scan it without asking the price.
Zhou Mo picked up the airplane model box and turned to hand it to Han Chen. "There's always a clear distinction between likes and dislikes. If you don't want it, or no longer like it, you won't find excuses to refuse. If you like it, take it. Consider it my first gift to you after we get married."
Han Chen curled his lips and took it with a smile.
"Thank you," he said, not knowing what words to use to express it.
Zhou Mo always managed to hit the nail on the head and tickle his heart, making him addicted to this feeling, unable to let go and unable to quit.
"I'll buy you whatever you want," Han Chen said.
"Sushi, I want to eat sushi, the kind with lots of fish roe."
"Okay," Han Chen took out his phone, "I'll ask Liang Dongyan which Japanese restaurant here is good."
Zhou Mo smiled, he finally understood.
While Han Chen was on the phone, Zhou Mo found the children's reading area, picked out a few colorful three-dimensional books, and flipped through them one by one.
Han Chen came over and stood behind her. "This is a good book."
"I like the story of 'The Little Pony Crossing the River' too," she handed the selected book to Han Chen and opened the next one: "How about 'The Little Cat Fishing'?"
Han Chen: "I haven't heard it. What did you say?"
Zhou Mo: "The kitten wasn't concentrating on fishing. He ran off to catch dragonflies and butterflies halfway through, and complained that he couldn't catch any fish. His mother said that only by concentrating wholeheartedly can you catch fish."
Han Chen: "It feels good."
Zhou Mo: "I think so too."
She flipped through several books and thought they were all good, and couldn't make a decision for a while.
Han Chen reminded: "Buy a set."
"This one is almost a hundred dollars, and a set is over a thousand. You're heavily in debt, so shouldn't we increase revenue and cut costs?"
"It's okay, I can earn it back."
Zhou Mo looked at him with a smile, "Okay, buy a set."
The two then went to a Japanese restaurant for lunch, and Zhou Mo tasted the fish roe sushi he had been longing for.
After strolling around the "Shangdu" for a while, around two o'clock, the two of them rushed to "Zhulu Zhongyuan" together.
…
Fighting for the Central Plains.
In order to celebrate Zong Yi's birthday, Zong Zheng prepared two top-notch banquet halls, the Magnolia Hall and the Yutang Hall, and invited many friends.
Most of the people in the Magnolia Hall are from the First Academy of East China University, while those in the Yutang Hall are Zong Zheng’s brothers and some old friends.
When Zhou Mo and Han Chen arrived, quite a few people had already arrived in the Magnolia Hall.
Du Moyou had just come from the Yutang Hall opposite when he saw Han Chen and Zhou Mo arriving.
She greeted with a smile, "Doctor Han, Miss Zhou, welcome."
Han Chen handed over the gift box, "This is for Xiaoyi."
Du Moyou was pleasantly surprised. She glanced at the words "pop-up book" written on the outside of the box and said in surprise, "Thank you. Xiaoyi will definitely like it."
Han Chen: "You're welcome."
Just as he finished speaking, Zong Yi ran out of the Magnolia Hall on his short legs, hugged Han Chen's legs, looked up at him with his little face, and called out with a smile: "Uncle Han."
Du Moyou was surprised, "Xiaoyi actually knows you?"
Zong Yi turned around and said to Du Moyou, "Uncle Han, give Xiaoyi some shrimp."
Du Moyou was puzzled.
Han Chen was a little embarrassed. "I had dinner at Senior Brother Du's house before, and Xiaoyi happened to be there too."
Du Moyou understood, "Come in, Du Moliang and the others are here."
Zhou Mo followed Han Chen into the room and saw Zong Yi naturally holding Han Chen's hand and obediently following Han Chen.
The Magnolia Hall is very large, and one table can seat more than twenty people.
Most of the people at the table looked familiar.
Du Moliang was talking to Zhong Zhicheng when he saw Han Chen and Zhou Mo come in.
He immediately greeted them, "Han Chen, you're here. Hello, Miss Zhou."
Zhou Mo nodded, "Hello."
Du Moyou patted Du Moliang's shoulder and said, "Please take care of this for me. I'll go check on the other side."
Du Moliang made an OK gesture, "No problem."
Du Moyou turned around and said goodbye, "I'll go over there and take a look. You guys sit down, wherever you want." Then he took Zong Yi away.
Du Moliang pulled out the chair next to him and said, "Come, sit here."
Han Chen helped Zhou Mo pull out the chair next to her and arranged for her to sit down, while he sat next to Du Moliang.
Du Moliang glanced at Zhou Mo inexplicably and moved closer to Han Chen. "Wen Lu and Wen Luan will be here soon. You better be careful. Wen Lu is very good at stealing people. She almost stole Dr. Lu's research assistant last time."
Han Chen frowned, "Are you talking about Dr. Lu from the cardiac surgery department?"
Du Moliang: "Yes, he is also your senior brother. He is two years older than me, and you are two years younger than me. When you came to the lab, he had already graduated."
"I've heard something about it."
Du Moliang was curious: "Didn't he perform your mother's surgery?"
Han Chen: "Yes."
Du Moliang: "Then you didn't talk to him for a while?"
Han Chen: "No, Dr. Lu is very rigorous in his work. The operation went smoothly and was successful."
The implication is that he was very satisfied with the treatment Dr. Lu gave his mother.
Du Moliang was a little disappointed. "Forget it. You guys are all quiet people. I guess there's nothing to talk about."
