"Still the old rules?" Han Chen asked.
Zhou Mo: "What old rules?"
"Take it one step at a time, holding hands, hugging, kissing, going on..."
"Han Chen!" Zhou Mo was ashamed and angry. He knelt down and covered Han Chen's mouth. "Don't talk nonsense."
Han Chen took her hand and held it in his palm. "Where did I say anything nonsense? Isn't this the rule and procedure you set in the first place?"
When the embarrassing incident was brought up, Zhou Mo just wanted to find a hole to crawl into.
In the past, she would talk about these things so frankly and as if it was a matter of course, but now she just feels embarrassed.
It turns out that the older you get, the more ashamed you feel.
"Be serious," Zhou Mo advised to hide his shyness.
Han Chen frowned, "Am I not serious?"
Zhou Mo was speechless for a moment. Yes, no one was more serious than Han Chen.
The phone suddenly rang, breaking the silence.
Zhou Mo picked up the phone and the caller ID showed it was Liu Xiangru.
She signaled Han Chen with her eyes to keep quiet and answer the call.
"Mom, what's wrong?" Zhou Mo asked.
"Are you at home?" Liu Xiangru asked.
"Yes, what's wrong?"
"I'll ask your father to send you some of my braised pig's trotters and eggs later. I was afraid you weren't around, so I called first to ask."
"Yes," Zhou Mo glanced at Han Chen, "When will my dad come over?"
"Get out now."
"Okay, I'll wait for him at home."
Zhou Mo hung up the phone and quickly pulled Han Chen up.
"My dad is coming, you should leave quickly."
Han Chen felt happy when he saw Zhou Mo's panic.
"Your home is more than ten minutes away by car, there's no rush."
"Why not? If my dad finds out..."
"What can we do if we know?" Han Chen asked back.
Zhou Mo was stunned for a moment.
It doesn’t seem like a big deal now that I know?
Maybe her parents would faint with joy and set off firecrackers with great joy.
Everyone would be happy, but Zhou Mo felt something was wrong.
"A stable marriage requires a long period of adjustment and coexistence. We've only been together for a short time, so we still need to get to know each other's habits and temperaments. Even my parents wouldn't say we're in a relationship today and become a loving couple tomorrow."
Zhou Mo raised his eyes: "We still need time."
Han Chen's eyelids drooped slightly, "I know."
Zhou Mo reminded: "The road ahead is still long, very long. I can't guarantee where the end is."
She had four relationships, not all of which were fruitless.
"It's easy to fall in love, but hard to get along with each other," said Zhou Mo.
Han Chen lowered his head, then looked up at her again.
"I understand. Let's go."
Zhou Mo felt empty inside when he saw Han Chen leaving.
Although I really don't want to pour cold water on Han Chen, this is the fact.
Liu Xiangru and Zhou Zheng still bicker, quarrel, and have cold wars from time to time. She and Han Chen don't have any deep feelings for each other, they just want to try the marriage model because they think it's appropriate.
Zhou Mo did not forget that Han Chen said "try it" at the beginning, and Zhou Mo also had the mentality of just trying it out.
They just want to try, but trying doesn't mean they will succeed.
As she said, there is no guarantee where the future will lead.
Han Chen left for about ten minutes.
Zhou Zheng is here.
Zhou Mo opened the door and took the things from Zhou Zheng's hand. "Dad, did you take a taxi?"
Zhou Zheng had sent the Vios at home to the repair shop before.
Zhou Zheng said: "The car is repaired."
Zhou Mo: "Did my mother find out?"
Zhou Zheng: "Of course I found it. How could I not find it if something as big as the car was missing?"
Zhou Mo: "You didn't tell her it was in a car accident, right?"
Zhou Zheng: "If I tell her this, how can I still come to give you something today? I told her that the car has a problem and I sent it in for repair. Anyway, the car is old and has problems all the time."
Zhou Mo carried the things and put them on the dining table.
Zhou Zheng helped unpack a few bags. "Have you eaten yet? Do you want to try the pig's trotters your mom made? I'll go cut them for you."
As he said this, he picked up the bag of pork trotters and walked towards the kitchen.
Zhou Mo stopped him: "I've eaten."
Zhou Zheng put down the things in his hands and said, "These are still warm. They can't be put directly into the refrigerator. Wait until they cool down before putting them in."
Zhou Mo: "Got it."
Zhou Zheng picked up the pig's trotter and said, "How about I cut it into pieces for you? That way it'll be easier for you to eat. You don't have to cut it yourself. You always complain about pork being greasy. If you cut it up, you won't have to deal with lard."
Zhou Mo knew that he was being pretentious, but he inexplicably enjoyed this kind of meticulous relationship.
She felt warm in her heart and smiled, "Thank you, Dad."
Zhou Zheng: "What are you thanking me for, silly girl."
He took the pig's trotters to the kitchen to cut them.
Zhou Mo went to wash his hands and planned to try the braised eggs.
Zhou Zheng's voice came from the kitchen: "Momo, is there someone coming home?"
Zhou Mo paused and quickly washed his hands.
"No, what's wrong?"
Zhou Zheng: "There are two cups in the sink."
Zhou Mo felt a panic in his heart.
Finished.
She had been drinking water with Han Chen before, and after Han Chen left, she hurriedly put the quilt into the kitchen and forgot to wash it.
Zhou Mo could only pretend to be calm and said, "I used it alone. I drank juice and milk."
Zhou Zheng: "You should drink less cold things."
Zhou Mo breathed a sigh of relief and managed to get by.
"Know."
Zhou Zheng quickly cut the pig's trotters into pieces and divided them into several bags for easy freezing.
He washed his hands, opened the refrigerator and began to check the things in Zhou Mo's refrigerator.
"There are still quite a few side dishes and milk left," he said, then went to the kitchen and opened the cabinet below. "There's also rice..."
