Song Yan: "There's a square over there. I'll go there to prepare. Han Chen will be here soon. You two can stay by the lake."
Zhou Mo: "OK."
Her cell phone suddenly rang. It was a WeChat call from Han Chen.
"Han Chen should be here. I'll go pick him up."
"You go ahead, I'll go to the square and set up some things."
"Thank you."
Zhou Mo was very grateful. Fortunately, she had a friend like Song Yan, which made her plan go much more smoothly.
Han Chenren had already arrived at the gate of the villa. Zhou Mo talked to him and he drove in according to Zhou Mo's instructions on the phone.
Finally, we successfully found where Zhou Mo was staying.
Han Chen glanced at the cozy little villa in front of him with the lights on. There were colorful lights carefully hung on the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the curtains were pink with a layer of white gauze drapery, which looked very warm.
Han Chen unbuckled his seat belt and was about to push open the car door when Zhou Mo trotted forward and helped him open the door.
"Mr. Han, please get out of the car," she said enthusiastically like a waitress, and made the "please" gesture at the same time.
Han Chen felt a little embarrassed and uncomfortable, "Momo...you..."
"Don't talk too much, just listen to me and do what I tell you to do."
"Yeah." Han Chen nodded, and then he felt normal and adapted.
"Are you hungry?" Zhou Mo put his arm around him.
“A little.”
"Come on, go inside."
Han Chen let Zhou Mo pull him into the small villa in front of them.
Western-style meals were already prepared on the table, and Zhou Mo specially ordered two servings of black pepper beef pasta.
She and Han Chen both like the taste of black pepper.
Most importantly, they haven't had such a ritualistic date for a long time.
Han Chen didn't have time to prepare, but it didn't matter, she could just come.
The room was warm. After a while, Zhou Mo pulled his hand out of Han Chen's. "Okay, no need to cover my hand. Come and eat. The real surprise will come after dinner. Go sit across from me."
There was a table for four, and Han Chen sat next to her to warm her hands.
"I don't care about surprises, having you is enough," Han Chen said, "I want to sit next to you."
As he spoke, he brought the cutlery placed opposite Zhou Mo in front of him.
The table is not very big, and two people sitting side by side can touch each other's arms.
It is such a narrow seat that makes the two feel more like they are leaning on each other when sitting side by side.
The two smiled at each other and had their meal together.
Han Chen had a poor appetite and only ate half of a plate of pasta, which was half of his usual meal size.
Obviously, he still hasn't recovered from his mood.
He put down the cutlery. Zhou Mo hadn't finished eating yet. She turned to look at him and asked, "Not eating anymore?"
Han Chen: "Yeah."
Zhou Mo also put down his cutlery and wiped his mouth briefly.
She reached out, pinched Han Chen's cheeks, and forced a smile on his lips.
"Can't you smile at me?" she asked.
Han Chen was annoyed by her naughty behavior and felt like laughing. He pulled his lips slightly, but he couldn't move them because Zhou Mo pinched his cheeks.
Zhou Mo let go of her hand and glanced at Han Chen's face which was a little red from being pinched by her. Then she stood up and kissed him on both cheeks.
"Get up and see the surprise," Zhou Mo pulled Han Chen's arm, made him stand up, and led him to the floor-to-ceiling window.
It was pitch black, and I could only see the grass outside the house through the light coming through the floor-to-ceiling windows. I could barely make out the slightly shimmering surface of the lake, and the dark woods across the lake.
"What are you looking at? The lake?" Han Chen asked.
"Wait a minute," Zhou Mo took out his cell phone and sent a message.
Half a minute later.
Suddenly, a "sizzling" sound was heard in the dark night, and a beam of fire passed over the treetops of the grove opposite the lake, streaking vertically across the sky.
Then it exploded with a "whoosh" sound and scattered in all directions.
The twinkling stars of Mars suddenly took on a variety of colors, and disappeared into the night after a few seconds.
"This is..." Han Chen looked at Zhou Mo.
"Let me show you fireworks. Didn't you say you used to set them off secretly when you were little? Then the city banned fireworks, so you don't see them much anymore. Some areas in Dongjiang can set them off now, but this is a suburb, so there's no regulation."
"Do you remember what I said?"
"Of course I remember," Zhou Mo said with a smile, "There's something more important that I haven't mentioned yet."
"What's up?"
"Happy New Year."
Han Chen smiled knowingly: "It's not the New Year yet, so... there's still more than half a month left."
Zhou Mo shook his head. "When the Chinese New Year comes, we'll have to go shopping with our parents. We won't have time to spare. So, before the Chinese New Year arrives, let's celebrate our own New Year. I declare that from now on, it's a new year, a new beginning, and all of Han Chongyuan's bad luck and misfortunes will be banished."
Han Chen was completely amused by her.

With Zhou Mo like this, he really couldn't help but be happy.
There was another "hiss-hiss" in the sky, and the bright flames illuminated the entire sky.
The originally dark environment was also dyed with its own color because of the bright and colorful fireworks.
The colorful colors shine on the sparkling water, and the lake surface looks like a transparent and gorgeous painting.
"Does it look good?"
"nice."
Of course it looks good.
"Let's go and take a look outside."
Zhou Mo took Han Chen's hand and led him out.
The two stood by the lake, looking up at the gorgeous sky.
The real fireworks show has begun. Huge flowers bloom one after another in the sky, stay for a few seconds, and then disappear one after another.
