Chapter 873 New Year 26

“Ding Dong—Ding Dong—”

The doorbell rang.

Ai Zhiyin opened the door casually.

Outside the door was a pretty little girl. She looked at Ai Zhiyin with a smile on her face, "Miss, this is what Mr. Han wanted."

Ai Zhiyin took a half step back and said, "Come in, I'll go call him."

The girl was stunned for a moment, then quickly said, "No need, Miss, just check it. No need to trouble Mr. Han."

Ai Zhiyin: "This is his thing, not mine."

The little girl was completely stunned.

Ai Zhiyin walked into the house and said in the direction of the bathroom, "Your things are here, come out and get them."

"Hua La..." The bathroom door opened, and Han Ji walked out, his face extremely grim. He glanced at Ai Zhiyin, walked to the door, took the things the little girl handed him, and said, "You can go now."

The little girl sensed something unusual between the two men, even a bit of tension, so she immediately said goodbye and turned to leave.

"Bang——" Han Ji closed the door.

"You won't even help me get something?"

"It's not that I don't want to take it, I just don't want to touch the people here."

Ai Zhiyin's tone was just short of having the word "disdain" written all over her face.

Han Ji looked at her, and he had to suppress the anger that was rising in his heart, and finally it turned into helplessness.

The little girl brought some documents and the two bottles of wine he wanted.

Han Ji went to the kitchen to get a decanter and brought out two highball glasses.

Seeing this, Ai Zhiyin said, "I don't want to drink. You drink it yourself."

Han Ji: "The cup is new, no one has used it."

Ai Zhiyin: "I don't believe it. You should drink it yourself."

Han Ji: "Can't you trust me just once?"

Ai Zhiyin: "I always believed you before."

The implication is that he has ruined his own credibility.

Han Ji had no choice but to put down the red wine, turned around and went upstairs to get an unopened bottle of Moutai and a set of exquisite small porcelain cups for drinking white wine. He went to the kitchen to wash them before bringing them back.

"This set has definitely never been used before. You know, people like us rarely drink baijiu outside of the wine table," Han Ji poured them some, "This set of porcelain was given to me by someone, and I haven't been willing to use it yet."

The suspicion on Ai Zhiyin's face barely faded.

"Drinking red wine will give you a headache the next day, but drinking white wine will make you feel better," said Han Ji.

"White wine makes you drunk easily."

"Just drink less, I didn't say I had to get you drunk," Han Ji laughed. "Drinking without any preparation is boring. How about playing a game?"

"What game?" Ai Zhiyin asked.

"Tell the truth. Do you dare?"

"How do you play?"

"I ask questions, you tell the truth, and I drink; you ask questions, I tell the truth, and you drink."

"How can we be sure that the answer we give is the truth?"

"Drinking means you acknowledge that what the other person says is true."

Ai Zhiyin thought about it and said, "Okay, let's try it."

Anyway, the "world" that Han Ji showed her was strange and novel, and she was looking forward to seeing what kind of tricks this game could bring.

"Who goes first?" she asked.

"Who do you want first?"

"You go first."

"Okay," Han Ji's eyes moved slightly, and his gaze moved from Ai Zhiyin's face to the wine glass.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity...

Without much thought, he asked, "You said before, 'I don't like the ones I've dated, and I haven't dated the ones I like'... The person you liked but didn't date—was that Han Jue?"

Ai Zhiyin was suddenly stunned. She didn't expect Han Ji to be serious and to do such a big thing.

"Can I just drink without answering?"

"No," Han Ji said, "whether it's true or not, we have to give an answer."

Ai Zhiyin thought for a moment, then raised her eyes and bravely met Han Ji's gaze, saying affirmatively, "Yes."

Han Ji suddenly felt a tightness in his chest and felt very uncomfortable.

Although it was just a blind guess, knowing the truth still makes people feel upset.

He was unwilling to give in, so he picked up the cup and drank a full one.

"It's your turn now, go ahead and ask," the spicy taste that pierced his throat made him frown and he could only speak with a choked voice.

"I don't have anything to ask. I need to think about it." Ai Zhiyin pondered for a moment and asked, "Do you have any real estate or property outside that I don't know about?"

This time it was Han Ji's turn to be stunned.

He thought she would ask about the women outside his life, but he didn't expect Ai Zhiyin to ask such practical questions.

"It's hard to answer?" Ai Zhiyin smiled. "I don't require you to give an answer to my question. If you don't want to answer, you can drink as a punishment."

"Yes." Han Ji said seriously, "But it was in the past, before Operation Thunder. I dealt with them all. One was in Building 18, Area A, Huatian Mansion in the northern suburbs, and the other was a high-rise building in Phase 3 of Poly Times. I can't remember the specific building."

Ai Zhiyin's heart sank, and the smile on her lips was also a bitter one. "Look, you've been hiding things from me, and it's not just you cheating on me."

Han Ji lowered his head. "These... I can't hide it from you. You know, these properties are very dangerous. If people knew about it..."

Ai Zhiyin: "Why are you telling me now?"

Han Ji: "Because I don't want to hide anything from you anymore, and I don't want to tell you lies."

Ai Zhiyin nodded, "You're not as defenseless as you say."

Han Ji: "If I say that not telling you is actually a form of protection for you, do you believe me?"

Ai Zhiyin: "I don't believe it. I don't believe what you say anymore."

She looked down at the cup in front of her.

There was only half a glass of wine in it.

Han Ji probably feared that she couldn't drink much, so he didn't fill her glass.
