A bus is traveling on a winding road, forming a beautiful picture in the afterglow of the setting sun.
Inside the car, passengers chatted with each other about family matters and laughed happily.
"Yan Mo, now that things have come to this, I won't hide it from you. There's a problem at my family's company. Be obedient and come back to see me. I don't want you to suffer with us in the future, so I've arranged a date for you. He's one of the best quality men in Mo City..."
Yan Mo sat in the back row by the window, his mother's tired persuasion echoing in his mind.
Affected by the global financial crisis, the supermarket run by Yan Mo's family encountered crisis.
In order to prevent her parents from worrying about her anymore, she agreed to follow her parents' arrangements, return to China for blind dates, and get married.
Today is Yan Mo’s first day back in Mo City.
Now I am going to my grandfather's house in the countryside to meet the so-called blind date.
Half an hour later, Yan Mo got off the bus at his grandfather's place.
"silently."
As soon as he got off the car, Yan Mo heard his grandfather's loud and powerful voice. He looked up and saw an old man with gray hair and brisk steps walking towards him.
"Grandpa." This is her grandfather, an old man in his eighties who is as energetic as a young man.
According to grandpa.
The man is the grandson of his old comrade-in-arms.
The 32-year-old man is an honest man who blushes when he sees a girl and has trouble getting married. His old comrades are very worried when they learn that their grandfather has a 24-year-old granddaughter, Yan Mo, who is of marriageable age. She pesters her grandfather every day to let the two children meet her.
When the news of her return came, her grandfather issued an order to the entire Yan Mo family, asking everyone to step back and be the first to see her grandfather's comrade-in-arms grandson.
Just after getting off the plane, I was ordered to go directly to my grandfather's house.
He was so anxious that Yan Mo had an illusion that he might have some defects!
"Momo, your grandma has prepared hot water. The boys will be here at seven o'clock. Go home quickly to pack up." Grandpa snatched the luggage from her hand, carried it and left. Yan Mo was stunned. He was worthy of being a soldier. He was still strong and healthy!
"What are you daydreaming about? Come here!"
Yan Mo came to his senses and jogged to catch up with his grandfather.
Five minutes later.
Before my grandfather even got home, his high-pitched voice had already spread throughout the village.
"My dear, Mo Mo is back. Hurry up and take her to clean up. The young man from the Si family will be here soon."
Yan Mo raised his hand and glanced at his watch. It was ten past six, still early. He asked weakly, "Grandpa, I haven't eaten yet."
"Girl, it's already late. Is eating more important or are life's affairs more important?"
Of course, eat, Yan Mo said silently in his heart.
"Women dress up to please themselves, while men care most about what they like. What does it mean to be attractive? Beauty." The old man strode into the house, put down his luggage, and looked his granddaughter up and down: "Let your grandma dress you up well."
Returning to the two-story villa at my grandfather's house, what was waiting for Yan Mo was not the taste of nostalgia, but he tossed her around for an hour.
Only when a military green Hummer entered her grandfather's yard did the two elders let her go. Yan Mo had no choice but to follow her grandfather out of the house to greet them.
The car slowly stopped.
A tall and stern man came down from the driver's seat. Yan Mo thought, this must be the man she was going on a blind date with!
After the man got out of the car, he opened the back door and an old man who was about the same age as her grandfather came out of the car. He was holding a cane and looked very energetic.
"This must be Yan Mo! She's as cute and well-behaved as in the photo." The old man walked quickly to Yan Mo and looked at her with a smile on his face.
Yan Mo: "Grandpa Si, okay."
"Okay, okay, you're so sweet, Lao Mu. You're so lucky! You have such a well-behaved granddaughter." Several people talked as they walked into the house.
Mr. Si scolded his grandson who was standing by the car: "What are you doing standing there, you little brat? You don't have any sense. Why don't you take out the flowers and give them to Yan Mo?"
The man then slowly took out a bouquet of roses from the car and walked over.
Mr. Si said dissatisfiedly: "He is the one who takes one step forward after hitting one stick."
As he got closer, Yan Mo opened his eyes wide in disbelief. Was it him?
Yan Mo took a step back unconsciously and touched his cheek with his hand. He seemed to still feel the temperature of the blood sprayed on his face. Yan Mo felt unwell.
The scenes that happened in the tourist bus in Xinjiang a month ago came to Yan Mo's mind, and he was stunned.
Grandpa said he was an honest man? He blushed at the sight of a girl? This guy is clearly a ruthless person! He could easily wipe out a group of robbers. Just thinking about that scene makes me shudder.
The man frowned and looked Yan Mo up and down with his sharp eyes.
Old Master Si swept his cane over, and the man handed the flowers in his hand to Yan Mo, and stretched out his right hand, his voice as cold as ice: "Si Ze."
Yan Mo came back to his senses from the shock. When he heard Si Ze's voice, the hairs on his body stood up. He tried to keep a smile on his face, took the bouquet, and introduced himself: "Hello, Mr. Si, my name is Yan Mo."
After getting to know each other, the old men began to wink at each other.
Grandpa cleared his throat and said, "Momo, didn't you just say you were hungry? Size, can you take the girl out for dinner?"
Si Ze looked at Yan Mo and said, "Let's go!"
No one asked Yan Mo's opinion, and Si Ze took the lead in opening the passenger door.
She didn't want to go, but when she looked back and saw her grandfather's eyes, she resigned herself to her fate and got into the passenger seat. Si Ze closed the car door and returned to the driver's seat.
The car started, drove out of my grandfather's yard and headed towards the city.
This place is not really a rural area. Strictly speaking, it is a suburb, about 40 minutes' drive from the city.
Along the way, no one spoke first, and the atmosphere in the car was a bit depressing.
"Are you nervous? Miss Yan knows me?" When the car arrived in the city, Si Ze broke off the silence.
"No."
Yan Mo denied it. There were thirty or forty tourists in the bus at that time. It was normal that Si Ze didn't remember her.
