Chapter 168 Thoughtful

"Momo, what are you daydreaming about?"

Seeing that they had reached the harbor, Yan Mo's eyes were wide open, his legs still pedaling as he drove forward. Si Ze reminded him:

"arrive."

Yan Mo came to his senses and quickly turned the car around and arrived beside Si Ze. He stopped in front of the row of shared bicycles at the entrance of the harbor and returned the bicycle.

Then, Si Ze took her hand and walked into the community.

"Si Ze, what should I pay attention to at the Jiang family banquet?" Yan Mo asked solemnly.

Si Ze turned back and looked at her: "Is this what you were worried about just now?"

"I guess so!" Yan Mo did not deny it and explained, "I have only attended other people's birthday parties twice, so I don't know much about this aspect."

"You just need to stay by my side and don't worry about anything else." Si Ze patted Yan Mo's head lightly and said indifferently.

Yan Mo frowned and slapped his hand away in annoyance.

It's the same as not saying anything.

It is estimated that the people who will go there at that time will all be the ladies from the upper class of Mo City. If they really don't care and make a fool of themselves, it will bring shame to the Si family.

Thinking that they had arrived at the door of their home, Si Ze entered the password, opened the door, and pulled Yan Mo into the house.

Seeing Yan Mo looking worried all the way, Si Ze thought for a moment and suggested:

"If you are really worried, you can find..." After a pause, Si Ze filtered out the suitable candidate in his mind.

The first person he thought of was his mother Tang Ping.

"Who are you looking for?" Yan Mo grabbed Si Ze's arm and asked hurriedly.

Si Ze cleared his throat and said under Yan Mo's expectant gaze, "My mother?"

Hearing these two words, the light in Yan Mo's eyes dimmed.

Although Si Ze's mother left a good impression on her, the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law has always been the most difficult to handle, which made her instinctively reluctant to have more contact with her.

Besides, this is like using a butcher knife to kill a chicken! It's too much to ask the future mother-in-law for such a small matter.

Before Si Ze could say anything, the phone in Yan Mo's pocket rang.

Yan Mo could only let go of Si Ze and take out his cell phone.

When Yan Mo saw that it was Ning Xin’s WeChat call, his eyes lit up and the corners of his mouth curled up.

How could she forget Ning Xin? Ning Xin is the granddaughter of the Si family and has many opportunities to attend banquets. She should have learned etiquette since she was a child, so it is perfect for her.

"Ning Xin." Yan Mo immediately let go of Si Ze's arm and answered the phone.

"Cousin, I see the beautiful scenery in your circle of friends. Where are you having fun?" Ning Xin's excited voice came from the phone.

"Are you back to Mo City?" Yan Mo ignored Si Ze and walked to the sofa and sat down.

Some time ago, Grandma Ning Xin celebrated her birthday and she went back to the countryside. She hasn't been in touch since then, and Yan Mo thought she hadn't returned to Mo City yet.

"Yes! I just arrived in Mo City. Cousin, where are you? I'll come over now." Ning Xin couldn't wait and said again.

"Now?" Yan Mo glanced at Si Ze. Si Ze also heard it. He looked at the time and frowned.

It was obvious that he didn't want her to go, and Yan Mo could see it at a glance.

Finally, Yan Mo and Ning Xin made an appointment for tomorrow morning. Ning Xin came here for breakfast. Si Ze then showed a satisfied smile, took out his phone, and prepared to call the Regal Hotel:

"Momo, what do you want to eat?"

"No need to call." Yan Mo waved his hand, hung up the phone, stood up, and walked into the kitchen:

"I'll do it for you."

"Okay." Si Ze put away his phone decisively. With his wife cooking, why would he eat takeout? Although it was made in his own restaurant, he didn't have to worry about hygiene and the taste was pretty good, but he couldn't bear to eat it every day! He ate it at work and at home. He was tired of it.

Now my wife says she wants to cook for him, I am so happy.

He followed Yan Mo to the kitchen: "Mo Mo, I'll help you."

help?

Yan Mo retracted his hand from opening the overhead kitchen cabinet and looked at Si Ze with an embarrassed expression: "I didn't plan on making anything complicated. If you want to enjoy the flavor, why not order takeout!"

How can you compare to the five-star kitchen of Regal?

"No, I eat whatever my wife cooks." Si Ze knew that his wife had misunderstood him, and he said hurriedly with a strong desire to survive.

"Then go out and don't look at me." Yan Mo said.

There are so many kinds of noodles that you can tell at a glance that they are specially prepared.

But she couldn't let him know. She had specially asked the old man about his preferences.

Si Ze didn't say anything either. He stood at the door without moving, looking at her with a smile.

After a long while of Si Ze not moving, Yan Mo walked up to him and urged him, "Get out!" Then he stretched out his hand and started pushing him, saying, "Go!"

After much effort, she finally pushed him out of the kitchen.

Without waiting for Si Ze to speak, Yan Mo immediately closed the kitchen door with a "bang".

Si Ze rubbed his nose. He just wanted to help, but why such a big reaction? What delicious food was he preparing for him?

"You really don't need my help." Si Ze shouted through the door.

"No need, go and get busy!" Yan Mo quickly declined. When he heard the footsteps gradually fading away, he returned to the stove with peace of mind, stood on tiptoe, and took out noodles from the overhead kitchen cabinet.

Looking at the various types of noodles, Yan Mo raised his hand, hesitated for a moment, and finally chose the wider egg noodles. He then took out the cabbage and eggs he had bought some time ago from the refrigerator.

Afraid that the noodles wouldn’t taste good, Yan Mo thought about it and searched for noodle recipes online.

She followed the instructions online step by step, and finally, two bowls of steaming hot noodles came out of the oven.

"He likes spicy food, right?" Yan Mo muttered to himself, holding a bottle of Lao Gan Ma in his hand, hesitant.

Recalling the many times I had dinner with him, he didn't seem to eat spicy food on purpose. He seemed to eat spicy food without any taboos.

In that case, Yan Mo picked up a spoon beside him, scooped some out of it, and put it into the bowl for Si Ze.

After finishing, he walked to the kitchen door, opened it, and shouted inside:

"Si Ze, please help me carry it."

"I'm here." Si Ze, who was sitting on the sofa, turned off his computer, stood up, walked towards Yan Mo, and said with a smile: "Are you ready? Did you make anything delicious?"

"Guess?" Yan Mo asked mysteriously.

Si Ze sniffed it and his eyes lit up immediately. This was his favorite food.

"How do you know I like noodles?" Si Ze asked in surprise.

He looked at her with a bright smile on her face. Was it a coincidence or a deliberate preparation?

How did she know this? He didn't remember ever mentioning it to her.

No matter what, this bowl of noodles still made him feel warm.

"Do you like noodles?" Yan Mo blinked and pretended not to know.

She didn't want to talk about it, and he wouldn't dwell on it. He picked up two bowls of noodles from the stove and walked into the restaurant. Yan Mo followed behind him and sat down opposite Si Ze.

"Eat." Si Ze pushed the bowl without chili pepper to Yan Mo's table.

"Hmm." Yan Mo stirred the noodles in the bowl, his eyes fixed on Si Ze opposite him. Seeing that he seemed to be enjoying the food and eating it with relish, he felt extremely satisfied.
