Yan Mo drank three full glasses of water before Si Ze let her go out.
She and Si Ze came to the street where they often took morning walks. The street was as busy as usual, with people running in sportswear.
In order to accommodate her, Si Ze deliberately slowed down today. Yan Mo didn't know if it was the aftereffects of the Chinese medicine. She just felt inexplicably weak all over today, and soon she couldn't run anymore.
"Si Ze, run on your own! I'll wait for you here."
"Okay." Si Ze helped Yan Mo sit on a rest chair beside the road, ran two laps quickly, and came back.
"Drink again?"
Yan Mo looked at the half bottle of mineral water left in her hand, and then looked at the new bottle he handed her. Now, every time she walked, there was a gurgling sound of water in the bottle, and she didn't want to drink it anymore.
"Here!"
Si Ze nodded and motioned her to take it. Her limbs were weak and there were still residual toxins in her body. She had to drink more water to excrete them as soon as possible.
She made a bitter face, drank the water in her hand, and then took the one given by Si Ze.
"So good." Si Ze touched her head lovingly, helped her up, and walked towards home.
On the way home, Yan Mo was very depressed. Why did he like to touch her head every time? She was not a dog.
"What's wrong?" Si Ze noticed that the little girl was unhappy.
Glancing at Si Ze, Yan Mo protested:
"By the way, Si Ze, could you please stop patting my head like that? It makes me feel like you're a captive pet."
"That's fine." Si Ze smiled and nodded politely, "Then I won't touch your head anymore."
"Yeah." Yan Mo was very satisfied.
"Then touch her face?" As he said that, he really touched her face with his hand.
Yan Mo became even more depressed. Looking at Si Ze, he decided to let him feel it too.
Thinking of this, he jumped up, stretched out his hand to hook his head, and shouted with a smile: "You can be my pet too."
He immediately stood on tiptoe, using the absolute height difference to crush her and prevent her from hitting his head.
How could she give up easily if she didn't succeed? However, before she jumped, her feet felt sore and she almost fell. Fortunately, Si Ze supported her in time.
She took the opportunity to touch the top of his head:
"Isn't it? It feels bad."
"Still dizzy?" Si Ze was not paying attention to this point at all, and asked with concern.
"You haven't answered yet." Yan Mo persisted.
"I think it's good."
He actually hoped that his wife would touch her head more often. What a happy thing that would be!
"This shouldn't be the case!" Yan Mo murmured as he looked at his palm. Was this the first time he touched the top of his head?
From then on, she would touch him whenever she had time, whether she was sitting or lying down. He would definitely get annoyed.
"Let's not talk about this anymore." Si Ze didn't know where he got another bottle of water from.
Without him saying anything, she knew he wanted her to drink.
Feeling weak, and drinking water can help? This might be a magical water that can cure vitiligo. Even more miraculous, it could even extend your life.
Now the sight of water makes her want to vomit.
Coincidentally, as soon as I arrived at the door, I met Ning Xin who was waiting there.
"Xiner." Yan Mo let go of Si Ze immediately as if he had seen a savior, and ran to Ning Xin with a smile.
Ning Xin had a look of self-blame on her face. She came here today to apologize.
When she returned home last night, she told her parents what happened in the courtyard, and they immediately ordered her to come over and apologize and seek forgiveness from her cousin's wife.
She knew that her family was now living as a vassal of the Si family. If she had not sought forgiveness for this matter, while her grandfather was still alive, there might not have been any change. However, many years later, the Si family would belong to her eldest cousin and his wife, and her family's situation would only become more and more embarrassing.
Besides, if she hadn't asked her cousin's wife to accompany her to the Zhou family banquet, this wouldn't have happened.
All in all, she was primarily responsible and should apologize.
"Cousin, I'm sorry, last night..."
"Momo, please open the door." Si Ze interrupted Ning Xin before she could finish her words.
He took out the key, placed it in Yan Mo's palm, and said to Ning Xin coldly, "Come with me." After that, he walked towards the stairwell.
Ning Xin looked at the stairs, then glanced at Yan Mo, and finally left with her cousin.
"What happened to these two siblings?" Yan Mo muttered with a smile. Without thinking too much, he picked up the key in his hand and opened the door.
After putting down the water in his hand and making a cup of tea for Ning Xin and Si Ze, Yan Mo went into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and saw that most of the ingredients inside were used up, with only one cabbage left.
Yan Mo took out the cabbage, thought for a while, and took out a bag of thin noodles from the kitchen cabinet above his head: "There is no other way, I can only eat this." I don't know if Ning Xin likes to eat this!
There was a sound of a door opening outside. After a while, Si Ze pushed the door open and walked into the kitchen, just in time to see Yan Mo collecting noodles.
"What did you put in it?" Si Ze asked casually. He walked to the stove and saw a cabbage. He looked at the boiling water in the pot and asked with a smile:
"Momo, what delicious food are you making?"
"Nothing." Yan Mo closed the cabinet, started picking cabbage and preparing to cook noodles.
"Shall I pick it?"
Si Ze walked over to her and intended to take the cabbage from her hand.
"No need, go out and chat with your sister!" Yan Mo drove him away. Only a few slices of noodles and cabbage would be enough, and there was nothing else that needed help in the kitchen.
Driven away by Yan Mo, Si Ze had to leave the kitchen.
The noodles were cooked quickly, and Yan Mo brought out three bowls of noodles. Si Ze and Ning Xin walked into the restaurant, and she asked Ning Xin to sit down.
She also picked up her chopsticks and ate some noodles. She remembered that Ning Xin seemed to have something to say to her, so she asked:
"Xin'er, why did you say sorry to me just now?"
Ning Xin was stunned, stopped eating noodles, looked up at Yan Mo, and then looked at her cousin who was eating by himself.
Just now, the eldest cousin called her out to tell her about this and told her that her cousin-in-law didn't remember what happened last night.
And warned her not to say anything in front of her cousin's wife.
"Why are you looking at your brother?" Yan Mo also turned his head and glanced at Si Ze.
Looking at what he did just now, and how he even asked Ning Xin to go out alone, he wouldn't have done anything and then threatened Ning Xin to help him keep it a secret, right?
"Don't scare Xin'er." Yan Mo scolded, then turned to Ning Xin and said, "Ning Xin, don't be afraid, your brother won't do anything to you."
Ning Xin was moved, sniffed, and said:
"It's okay, cousin. I just feel bad that you asked me to teach you etiquette, but I didn't. Instead, I made you suffer with me. "
To be honest, she was afraid to speak out because she was threatened by her eldest cousin, but now she really doesn't want her cousin's wife to know what happened last night.
She thought it was something wrong, but Yan Mo waved his hand and said with a smile:
"It's okay. I learned a lot at the party."
"That's good." Ning Xin also smiled and started eating the noodles in the bowl again.
After breakfast, Si Ze received a call and left home, while Ning Xin stayed to exchange knowledge about etiquette.
Ning Xin didn't go back until after lunch when Yan Mo received a message from her mother.
