Chapter 205 Like Palaces and Fortresses

On the way back, Si Ze made a bitter face and begged:

"Wife, can we move to a bigger house?"

Si Ze didn't sleep well after separating from his wife last night. Today, he insisted on sleeping with his wife no matter what.

The original plan was to return to Harborside, but Yan Mo's house in Harborside was too narrow. There were only two rooms, and now there was an aunt living there. If An An was added, there would be no room at all.

Si Ze had no choice but to take his wife back to the old house in Jinjiao Bay. This made Si Ze have a strong urge to change rooms. He had had this idea as early as the first time he moved into Yan Mo's house, and now the idea was even stronger.

"Let's talk about it later!" Yan Mo did not comment. For her, she was quite satisfied with the house she lived in now. She was very satisfied with the location and environment.

She had spent a lot of time and effort to choose the house by the harbor. Her father took her to see many houses. In the end, she bought it with the help of a friend.

If the supermarket hadn't encountered a crisis last time, she wouldn't have taken it out. And the little money she has now is not enough to buy a house in today's era of high housing prices.

Take the properties in Melbourne for example. The ones with good environments are too expensive, and the ones with convenient transportation are too commercialized. It is difficult to find a satisfactory one. Under these circumstances, the current houses are crowded, but she does not plan to change because she lives comfortably!

As for asking Si Ze to buy her a house, she had never thought about it at all, nor would she think about it. She had already enjoyed all the benefits by being with Si Ze. If she really wanted to change houses, she would have to earn money to buy it herself.

Si Ze was so smart that he saw through her thoughts at a glance and said with great dissatisfaction:

"Honey, seriously, what's our relationship now? Please don't bring up money. You always make a clear distinction between you and me, okay?"

His wife is good in every way, except for this one thing that makes Si Ze very distressed. Up to now, it can be said that she has not spent much of his money except for the things he bought for her. The card he gave her has hardly been used, which makes him, as a husband, almost lose the motivation to make money.

Si Ze looked in the rearview mirror, hugged An An's face, and analyzed earnestly:

"Momo, look, there's no problem for the two of us to live in that house right now. Yes, now that Auntie and Tangtang are here, we can help them rent a house. But if a friend comes over, it would be a shame to let others live in the rented house! Right!"

"Let's put all that aside. After we get married, if we give An An a younger sister or brother, it would be very inconvenient to live in Harborside!"

"What nonsense are you talking about!"

Yan Mo turned around and glared at Si Ze, trying to stop him from saying anything. She looked at An An who was in her arms, listening with a serious face. He didn't know how to restrain himself and said everything in front of the child. She was also drunk.

"Then you have to promise me that if we find a suitable house, we will move there, and I won't say anything else." Si Ze did not give up and began to slow down the car, as if if she didn't agree, he would stop the car and talk with her by candlelight at night.

Seeing him look like such a rogue, Yan Mo had no idea what to do and his frown deepened.

But she couldn't do what he did, so in the end, she agreed to him.

After receiving Yan Mo's nod, Si Ze was so elated that he almost whistled. He immediately picked up the speed and continued driving towards the Golden Horn Bay:

"Momo, do you have any requirements for the house in the future?"

"Is it important?"

"Of course, you are the mistress of the house, so you decide whether it is important or not." Si Ze said without question: "Mo Mo."

Yan Mo glanced at Si Ze who was driving, then looked out the window at the bustling city with its bright lights and vibrant nightlife, and slowly expressed her wish:

"I'm looking for a house with a view of the mountains and water, free from environmental pollution and with fresh air. It should have a large grassland, a garden full of cherry trees, and my favorite alpaca. I should be able to see the stars and the sea when I look up, and the morning sun when I go out. The house should be as big as a palace fortress..."

She was talking about her childhood fairytale fantasy of living in a castle like a princess. She thought every girl would have this dream! She was the only one who spoke it out as a condition.

"Sister Yan, isn't that where the princess lives?" An An asked naively.

Yan Mo scratched An An's nose and said with a smile, "Yes! Not only the princess can live there, the little prince can live there too!"

The request she originally made was meant to make things difficult for Si Ze, and no matter how much he said, she would not change her mind.

In Mo City, the environment she described was difficult to find, not to mention the castle that only appeared on TV. In her opinion, it was an impossible problem, so she didn't notice Si Ze's light. He was afraid that she didn't have any requirements. As long as she had requirements, it would be easy.

As they were talking, the car had already driven into the old house of the Si family in Jinjiao Bay. Mr. Si came out to greet them with a smile on his face, leaning on his crutches.

Before getting off the car, Si Ze looked at Yan Mo's empty arms and reminded him:

"Mo Mo, are you wearing the jade bracelet that your grandfather gave you?"

"It's in the bag." Yan Mo opened the bag and quickly took it out and put it on his hand.

She also knew Si Ze's intention, and it was thanks to Si Ze's reminder, otherwise her grandfather would ask again. If the old man didn't see her bringing the things he gave away, he might think that she didn't like them and would give her something else.

Si Ze looked at her wrist wearing the heirloom bracelet of the Si family's mistress and her ring finger wearing the ring he gave her. He raised the corner of his mouth slightly, feeling quite satisfied: "Mo Mo, Grandpa gave it to you for you to wear. Don't take it off in the future."

"No." Yan Mo touched the bracelet and said, "This thing doesn't look cheap at first glance. If I accidentally break it, a house worth 10,000 will be gone. I will be heartbroken."

"It's okay." Si Ze joked, "If you don't have a house, I'll earn some for you."

"This isn't a matter of whether or not there's a house. The most important thing is that this bracelet is a family heirloom from generations past. If the inheritance is broken in my hands, wouldn't I become a sinner of the Si family?"

That's right. Si Ze looked at the bracelet on Yan Mo's wrist. His wife was right. For the Si family, what makes this thing valuable is not its intrinsic value, but the meaning of its existence.

"You wear it first, I'll think of a way."

"good."

After putting on the bracelet, Yan Mo checked his clothes again. After making sure there was nothing wrong with them, he carried An An and Si Ze out of the car.

Long before they returned to the old house, they went to the Regal Hotel for dinner. Yan Mo took a shower and changed out of the clothes that were torn by Si Ze, returning to his usual fresh and unpretentious appearance.

As soon as they got off the car, a maid came and took An An away from Yan Mo's arms.

Si Ze took Yan Mo to the old man, and Yan Mo greeted him politely:

"Grandpa, okay."

"Okay, okay, okay." Old Master Si couldn't stop smiling. The more he looked at this well-behaved granddaughter-in-law, the more he liked her. He liked her more and more: "Momo, this little guy is quite heavy. He must be tired!"
