Chapter 216 Waiting for Him Silently

After Aunt Li helped her move the quilt cover out, Yan Mo asked her to go back to her own business. After all, Aunt Li still had to make the bed.

Anyway, Si Ze would be busy until very late, so she stayed in the living room and started to take apart Si Ze's quilt cover. After taking it apart, she put it in the washing machine to wash it and hung it on the balcony to dry.

After finishing a series of work, it was almost ten o'clock. She went back to her room to take a shower. After coming out, she went to the sofa in the living room with her computer, opened her laptop, and looked at houses for nearly an hour. She wrote down a few shops that looked good online and planned to go and see the one recommended by the agent in a few days.

Time passed by unknowingly in the early morning. Si Ze had not come out since he went into the study. She came in and brought him a cup of tea. Seeing that he was in a meeting, she did not disturb him. She put down the tea and left.

With a "gurgle", Yan Mo's stomach made a protest sound. She paused for a moment in browsing her phone and then went back to browsing the forum as if nothing had happened. But not long after, her stomach started to growl again, and the protest sounds became louder and more frequent.

Helplessly, she put down her phone, got up from the sofa, walked into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator to see if there was anything that could quickly satisfy her hunger.

She was disappointed. The refrigerator was unusually clean, even cleaner than her pockets. There were only some seasonal vegetables. She picked up a cucumber and started to eat it as she walked out.

Halfway through eating, she looked at the half cucumber in her hand and remembered that Uncle Guan said Si Ze had the habit of eating midnight snacks. She was hungry now, and she guessed that he might be even hungrier.

Yan Mo immediately stopped and changed his route to walk towards the study. When she reached the door, she gently pushed it open and poked her little head in, wanting to make sure if he was busy before choosing the right opportunity to speak, still chewing on the unfinished cucumber in her mouth.

Before the door was opened, Si Ze knew she was coming. Just hearing the crunching sound of her eating made him feel hungry.

After waiting for a long time, she didn't come in. She just poked her little head in, blinking her big eyes at him. Her cute little appearance amused Si Ze, and the fatigue brought by work disappeared a lot throughout the night.

He waved at her: "Come in."

"Hmm." Yan Mo swallowed the cucumber in his mouth, opened the door and walked into the study, coming to his side. The tea she poured for him on the table had already been drunk up, leaving only the tea leaves.

"It will take a while." Si Ze hugged her small waist, rubbed his face against it, and said sullenly:

"Wife, if you are tired, take a rest first!" As he said that, he grabbed her hand, took a bite of the cucumber in her hand, and put it into his mouth.

He asked her to wait for him casually, but he didn't expect that she was really waiting for him and hadn't slept yet.

He knew he would be late today, but he didn't expect it to be so late. It was indeed because there were too many things piled up in the past few days, and he had to deal with them all. It would take him ten days and ten nights to finish them. Everything he dealt with tonight was urgent, and it would probably take another hour or so.

If he asked her to wait any longer, he would feel bad! He could only let her go to sleep first and wake her up later, Si Ze thought wickedly.

Yan Mo had no idea of Si Ze's evil intentions. She shook her head and stated her purpose directly:

"I came here to ask you, are you hungry? I'm going to make some midnight snacks."

"Hmm." Si Ze took another bite of the cucumber in her hand and ate it. After swallowing it, he said:

"A little."

"Okay." Yan Mo reached out and gently pushed away the head that was resting on her chest, took away the hands that were around her waist, and said with a smile: "Then you go ahead and do your work. I'll make something to eat." After that, he walked out of the study under Si Ze's reluctant gaze. After she left, the only smile on his face disappeared. He pinched his eyebrows tiredly and got back to work.

The moment she left the study, she knew what she was going to cook. When Yan Mo returned to the kitchen, the first thing she did was to open the cabinet above the stove. It was still the bag of noodles, because she found that she seemed to only be able to cook noodles for Chinese food and could not make other dishes. She did not have the ingredients for Western food at home.

They say that to capture a man's heart, you have to capture his stomach. So, shouldn't she learn cooking from someone else? Si Ze doesn't seem to like Western food. No matter how good her Western food is, it won't satisfy him.

Yan Mo nodded and muttered to himself:

"Yes, learn it."

She started making noodles. Yangchun noodles were very easy for Yan Mo, so they were ready soon. Si Ze was busy and asked him to come out to eat. She was afraid that he would waste time, so she simply carried a bowl in each hand and went to the door of the study.

Her hands were full, and the bowl was extremely hot, so she quickly turned her back to the door, pushed it open with her hips, and said hurriedly:

"Si Ze, help me connect it quickly and perm it."

Seeing this, Si Ze immediately stood up, not caring about the video call he was having with others. In the blink of an eye, he came to Yan Mo, quickly took the two bowls of noodles from her hands, and placed them on the computer desk next to her.

The moment Si Ze took the bowl, Yan Mo jumped up instinctively and shook her hands wildly: "It's so hot, so hot..." This did not seem to relieve the burning sensation on her toes. She immediately pinched her earlobes with both hands. She didn't know who told her that pinching the earlobes would reduce fever, she had been doing it since she was a child.

After Si Ze put down the bowl, he pulled away her little hand that was pinching her earlobe and put it in his mouth without thinking.

"Ah..." Yan Mo stared at him with wide eyes. Although she had just washed her hands, there were still bacteria on them!

"dirty."

Yan Mo retracted his hand and tried to pull the finger out of his mouth.

"Don't move." Si Ze reached out and grabbed her wrist, saying in a muffled voice.

It took a while before Si Ze let go of her hand. Yan Mo's face was red at this moment, like a cooked crab, and she was extremely embarrassed.

"How are you feeling?"

She looked down at her fingers, which were covered with a layer of crystal clear water stains. Her face turned even redder and she answered in a mosquito-like voice:

"It's still hot."

Si Ze's attention was not here. He looked at her other hand. It was the same. Without saying a word, he pulled her hand and prepared to put it in his mouth again.

This time, Yan Mo would not let him succeed. He immediately put his hands behind his back and jumped away, refusing:

"No, it's really dirty."

"It's not dirty." Si Ze took two steps forward and approached Yan Mo:

"Show me now."

One was on the run, the other was chasing. The two were still arguing, completely unaware that at this moment, Si Ze's computer work group was exploding with comments flying all over the screen:

"What did Mr. Si do?"

"Can't you hear it? Smirk."

"Boss Si is going to drive us directly. Brothers, are you ready to get in the car? Girls, please stay away."

"Okay, okay." The male colleagues in the group replied.

A woman replied:

"Why are you avoiding it? I want to see it too."

The other women echoed: "That's right, that's right."
