Chapter 352: Don't Believe

The first person to discover Yan Mo and the others was Si Heng, who was standing nearby. He said to his brother sitting opposite him:

"Brother, sister-in-law is here."

Hearing this, Si Ze turned his head and looked out the window. When he saw Yan Mo's eyes full of worry, he felt indescribable feelings in his heart. Finally, he fixed his gaze on Uncle Guan who was standing behind Yan Mo and the others for a second.

Uncle Guan also noticed Si Ze's gaze and nodded at him slightly.

Si Ze's face was expressionless. He walked out of the ward and came to Yan Mo: "Mo Mo, why are you here so early?" He looked at the two elders behind Yan Mo: "Grandpa and grandma, why are you here?"

Old Mu did not answer his grandson-in-law's words, but walked into the ward with awkward steps. His eyes stayed on the old team member lying on the bed with tubes inserted all over his body, and even his eyes were trembling.

"Wasn't it fine yesterday? What happened today?" Old Wood muttered to himself.

He also attended his great-grandchildren's hundred-day party yesterday. Since his wife was not feeling well, Yan Mo arranged for a driver to take the two elders back to Changmen Village.

Yan Mo was sad. He watched his grandfather walk to the bedside, but he didn't know how to comfort him.

The relationship between these two old people is definitely not worse than her feelings towards the old man. They are brothers who have supported each other all the way. It is conceivable that the sudden collapse of the old man must have been a significant blow to the grandfather!

She looked at Si Ze, who gave her a relieved expression, took her into the ward, settled her on the sofa, and then turned and came behind her grandfather.

"How is the captain?" Old Wood asked hoarsely.

"He is out of danger for the time being." Si Ze did not hide anything and explained the situation directly.

Old Wood turned around and asked Si Ze behind him: "Didn't you say it was a common cold? What exactly is it? Why is it so serious all of a sudden?"

As early as the last time he met his team leader, Lao Mu noticed something was wrong with his team leader. He was extremely thin. At that time, the team leader told him that it was caused by a cold.

Unexpectedly, it suddenly turned out like this, which made Lao Mu a little unacceptable.

"The cancer cells are spreading." Si Ze glanced at Yan Mo who was sitting on the sofa and answered in a deep voice.

Even though he knew that this time it was not caused by cancer cells, he had to say it now because he didn't want Yan Mo to become a suspect.

Hearing this, Lao Mu felt dizzy and took two steps back in disbelief: "Cancer cells?"

What a terrible word! Why would it appear to the leader, who is such a good person?

Seeing this, Yan Mo was startled and immediately jumped up from the sofa, quickly came over and supported his grandfather. Si Ze also came behind Yan Mo and the others in the first time.

The atmosphere in the ward was silent, and the air was filled with sadness.

After a while, Lao Mu finally reacted. He pushed away Yan Mo who was supporting him, walked step by step to the edge of the bed, and sat down silently.

Yan Mo and Si Ze looked at each other, then followed Grandma Si Heng and the others and retreated.

They came to the chairs in the corridor, and Yan Mo handed the thermos cup in his hand to Si Ze and Si Heng respectively: "Even the strongest person can't stand it. This is the noodles I made, you guys have some."

"Thank you, sister-in-law." Si Heng took it. He didn't open it and eat it immediately. He had just come back from a trip and hadn't had a drop of water. He was indeed hungry: "I'll find a good place to eat." As he said that, he very tactfully carried the thermos cup to the nurses' station, leaving the space for Yan Mo and his brother.

After asking him to answer the phone yesterday, Si Heng knew that there must be some rift between his brother and sister-in-law.

Grandma and Uncle Guan were already guarding outside the ward and did not follow. After Si Heng left, only Yan Mo and Si Ze were left in the corridor.

Yan Mo didn't say anything. He silently opened the thermos for Si Ze and handed him the spoon inside.

Si Ze shook his head and pushed it back to her: "I'm not hungry, and you haven't eaten either! Mo Mo, you go out!"

"My grandma and I ate at home." Yan Mo lied. She told her grandpa and others that she had eaten in the kitchen. In fact, she didn't eat anything in the kitchen. It wasn't that she didn't want to eat, but she really couldn't eat.

Yan Mo insisted: "Just eat a little! I made this for you myself." After saying that, she even stretched out her palm and said a little aggrievedly: "Look, my hand is injured."

Si Ze lowered his head. When he saw the bloody wound on her index finger, he reached out with a distressed look and held her hand. "Don't get up so early to make breakfast for me in the future."

"It's not all for you. Grandpa Si Heng and the others also want to eat." Yan Mo pulled his hand away and denied it.

After hearing what she said, he just smiled and didn't argue with her. He took the thermos cup and started eating the noodles she made for him bit by bit.

Yan Mo just sat beside him, holding his chin with his hands and watching him eat.

When he was almost done eating, Yan Mo asked what he wanted to know most:

"Si Ze, did the doctor say when the old man will wake up?"

Si Ze paused while eating, then turned to look at her for a long moment before answering, "Not sure yet."

Hearing this, Yan Mo frowned and became worried: "How can we continue like this?"

He was also worried and started to eat noodles with his chopsticks again. If possible, he also wanted the old man to wake up earlier, but the old man's body was on the verge of collapse, and with this incident, it was a blessing to be able to save his life. Now no one could predict when the old man would wake up, not even the dean was sure.

After that, the two of them didn't say anything else. After finishing their meal, Uncle Guan came over under Si Ze's instructions. Seeing that the two of them seemed to have something to talk about, Yan Mo took the initiative to stand up, picked up the thermos cup and walked towards the ward.

"Master, this is what you asked me to find." Uncle Guan took out a piece of medicine residue from the kitchen trash can and handed it to Si Ze, explaining:

"We only found the last day's worth of trash here. We have to look for the ones from the previous few days in the big trash can outside."

"Okay." Si Ze took the things handed to him by Uncle Guan and put them away, then ordered:

"Uncle Guan, please ask someone to find the big trash can!"

"Yes." Uncle Guan replied, "I promise to find you the whole month's supply."

"Sorry to bother you, Uncle Guan." Si Ze said politely, turning around to leave. After taking a step forward, he seemed to remember something and turned back to Uncle Guan and asked again, "Young Madam, you don't know about this, right?"

"Don't worry, young master. I won't tell anyone unless you ask me to." Uncle Guan promised.

After getting Uncle Guan's assurance, Si Ze felt at ease to leave the corridor and walk towards the dean's office.

He needs to send the drug residue to the hospital for examination as soon as possible, so that he can get better insights into the old man's condition and there will be a much greater hope that the old man will wake up.

Although he least wanted the drug residue to cause any problems, and he also believed that his wife would not harm the old man, the most likely thing was the drug.
