Extra 2: Dan'er's Mental Journey (1)

My name is Shen Simu.

Well, actually, before I became an adult, I didn’t even have a name. My dad and mom usually just called me Dan’er.

This name stuck with me throughout my teenage years, and no matter how much I protested, they never changed it.

Later, Uncle Lin said that I was already an adult and it would be inappropriate not to have a formal name. In the end, my father thought hard for three days and three nights before coming up with this name.

I don't like this name.

Because this name was just given by my father to show off his love for my mother, it has nothing to do with me.

But—well, it sounds better than Shendan'er. I'll just put up with it.

My dad doesn't like me very much.

I heard that my mother was almost tortured to death when I was born, so my father deliberately threw me into a small world after I was born to fend for myself.

I have no memory of this, for at that time I was but an egg.

Although I lacked my father's dragon energy, my hatching time was ridiculously long, the process of breaking out of the shell was full of hardships, and I even suffered from severe malnutrition after breaking out of the shell... But I still relied on my own strength to grow into a strong and brave little dragon.

But at that time, because I didn't get the guidance of my father's dragon energy, I couldn't open the dragon inheritance in my blood. For a long time, I thought I was a bigger lizard, hanging out with those animals in the mountains all day long. I didn't know who I was or where I should go.

But to be honest, those days were actually quite happy, because I had many friends at that time. Although they didn’t have high IQs, they were all simple and kind. Oh, at that time I thought they were simple and kind.

Later, when I knew I was a dragon, I understood that their various "filial piety" to me was not because of their simplicity, kindness, respect for the elderly and love for the young, but simply because of their natural awe.

Life in the mountains is actually quite boring, but it seems to pass very quickly.

I don’t know how long it took, but my mother finally remembered that she had a son like me, and one day she came with my father to take me back.

I still remember the day they came to pick me up. It was a gloomy and foggy evening.

My father stepped on a colorful cloud, holding my mother in his arms, and appeared in front of me from the sky like an idiot, scaring away all the animal friends in my mountain and blinding my eyes.

At that time, I thought it was an enemy who was coming to seize my hill, so I blew a breath of dragon's breath at him without thinking - then he grabbed my tail and beat me for three hours. Finally, my mother couldn't stand it anymore, so she snatched me away from him with a bruised face and nose, and even slapped him on the back of the head for it.

Because of this, my father and I hated each other for a long time after we reunited.

I have a problem with him, he doesn't like me, and we almost always fight when we meet - of course, it's basically me who gets beaten unilaterally.

But after being beaten, my father would always have black eyes the next day, and it was obvious that he had been beaten severely by my mother.

So I balanced it out and became more interested in provoking him.

Anyway, this is the nature of dragons: aggressive, brutal, extremely territorial, and extremely possessive.

My mother holds a pretty good position in my heart, because when she is in a good mood she will tease me. She is pretty and her body is fragrant and soft, and I am happy to cooperate with her and make her happy.

Maybe because of this, my father felt even more offended, as if his wife had been taken away by his son. Sometimes he wanted to eat me alive.

My dad's dragon is very childish and shameless.

She actually tried to win my favor in front of my mother by acting like a spoiled child and whispering in my mother's ear.
