The Round Table and the Twelve Knights (48)

Sijiu couldn't fall asleep and stubbornly refused to lie down. She just huddled in the middle of the bed with her knees hugged, as if this could prove her uncompromising nature.

But she was just an ordinary person after all. After a thrilling night full of fear and tossing, she inevitably felt tired after relaxing.

She didn't know when it started, but her consciousness gradually became blurred and she slowly fell asleep.

When she was really asleep, Xie Yu appeared in her room.

Looking at her posture and the half of her face exposed between her arms, even when she was asleep, her brows were furrowed and the corners of her lips were straightened, as if she was feeling a little aggrieved.

Xie Yu felt pity for her, leaned over and gently rubbed her eyebrows with his fingertips, sighing softly.

Xie Yu immediately picked her up, laid her flat on the bed, and covered her with a quilt.

He sat on the edge of the bed, holding one of her hands, and gently stroked her cheek with the tip of his other thumb.

"What shall we do with you?"

He whispered softly, and seeing that her brows, which he had smoothed with great difficulty, were wrinkled again, he lowered his head and kissed her gently.

"Have a sweet dream, Wanwan."

Si Jiu felt as if he was possessed by a ghost in his sleep.

At first, she felt suffocated by the tightness around her waist, then she felt as if her legs were filled with lead and she couldn't move at all. Her consciousness was hazy and she wanted to wake up from the nightmare but she was sweating profusely. After struggling for a while, she felt as if she had fallen into a furnace and her whole body was burning.

The most unbearable thing was that she felt like a thousand-pound mountain was pressing down on her chest, and this time she was really about to suffocate.

“Huff, huff, huff—”

Si Jiu seemed to have used up a lot of strength to wake up. The moment he woke up, his head was full of black lines.

What's pressing on his chest isn't a thousand-pound mountain, but a little bastard who doesn't know his place.

The mini dragon was lying on her and sleeping soundly, with its tail wrapped around her waist in a very arrogant manner. Its head was resting on Sijiu's collarbone. Its whole body was warm, and even its breath was warm.

When he fell asleep, his mouth was slightly open unconsciously, revealing his tiny fangs and a red tongue.

It's actually very cute.

But when I think about such a cute little dragon transforming into a tall and big man... Sijiu is not cute anymore.

"Hello--"

"Wake up."

Si Jiu raised his hand and patted him on the head without any hesitation.

As I continued taking pictures, I realized that the palms of my hands were very hot.

"Hey—are you running a fever? Or are all dragons this hot? Wake up—"

He didn't respond, so Sijiu pushed him hard. After repeating this several times, Mini Dragon's eyelids moved a few times, and then he slowly opened his eyes.

He might not be fully awake yet, but as an instinctive reaction to being disturbed from sleep, his pupils were now erect, revealing a bit of the coldness and ferocity that only animals have.

Sijiu felt a little scalp tingling.

Then he shook his head, and his unfocused gaze finally fell on Si Jiu's face bit by bit.

The next moment, Si Jiu felt his body sink.

The man who suddenly transformed pressed on her, his long, ink-black hair slid down from his shoulders and fell on Si Jiu's fair neck, tickling her skin.

"You go——"

The man suddenly lowered his head, took her lips in his mouth, and sucked hard. Then he whispered against her lips, "Sleep for a while, okay? Just a little while, I won't bother you."

He said 'I won't bother you', but his mouth pressed against her skin and moved down little by little, mumbling incoherently, "Yesterday you promised me that you would accompany me all day today..."
