"A pond!"
Feng Bingwen was taken aback, and an idea immediately formed in his mind.
The old man injured his bone. As the saying goes, it takes a hundred days to recover from a broken bone. And the old man is at an age where his qi and blood are declining, so his recovery ability is far inferior to that of a young man. His recovery time will probably be extended even further. By the time the old man's leg injury heals and he can teach me to swim, it will probably be too late.
But if he were to learn to swim in the village ponds, he felt he could swim and paddle around without anyone teaching him. Unlike the Wolong Lake, whose depths were unknown, the ponds in Fengjia Village were all dug by the villagers themselves.
Every year at the end of the year, the water in the pond would be drained, and then each household would share the fish for the New Year. Therefore, Feng Bingwen had seen the depth of this pond before, and the deepest part was no more than ten feet, which could be said to be very shallow.
"If I go into the water, something unusual might happen."
On the other hand, Feng Bingwen also considered a crucial matter. He was different now than before. The dragon was the head of all spirits and the ruler of all aquatic creatures. He had somehow acquired some dragon energy.
So, after a thought crossed his mind, Feng Bingwen decided to secretly go into the water and try it out himself, without notifying anyone or asking anyone to accompany him.
After making up his mind, Feng Bingwen waited patiently. Finally, the day off arrived. After the adults in his family went out, he avoided the children who came to play with him. Then he wandered around the village and found the pond furthest from the village. When he saw that no one was around, he stripped naked and jumped into the water.
Upon contact with water, Feng Bingwen felt a surge of energy and a distinct difference. He felt physically and mentally refreshed, as if something was actively flowing into his body from the water, giving him inexhaustible strength.
"I don't think I need to learn to swim!"
This pond, covering tens of acres, felt completely different to Feng Bingwen from the water at home; his ability to control water seemed to have been increased by an incredible degree.
The only water he could control at home was a ladle, which was convenient for brushing his teeth, washing his face, and taking a bath. Oh, no, it was very convenient when he needed to use the toilet. He didn't need toilet sticks or leaves at all.
However, once inside the pond, Feng Bingwen discovered that his limit in controlling water was not just a ladleful.
Whoosh!
A column of water as thick as a large bowl surged from the pond, eventually coiling around Feng Bingwen, who was half-submerged in the water, like a giant python.
"I knew I should have gone into the water sooner!"
The water that Feng Bingwen reached out to touch, which he was manipulating, moved around him like a python at an almost visible speed, and the pool of water became clear, bright, and crystal clear.
At first glance, the first impression is that it is clean!
"It absolutely meets drinking water standards!"
Looking at the stream of water he had purified, Feng Bingwen was very satisfied. He wasn't bragging, but the water he purified would, if not prolong life, at least keep one free from all diseases.
"Come!"
Feng Bingwen reached out, and the stream of water wrapped around his body, enveloping him completely. Then he walked step by step toward the deepest part of the pond.
The water gradually submerged his shoulders, neck, and finally his head... After his entire body was completely submerged, Feng Bingwen initially held his breath, but when he finally mustered the courage to breathe, he found that he indeed did not feel any choking sensation.
Even in water, he can breathe as freely as he would on land.
"If I'm not worried about choking on water, then I can swim around in the water however I want!"
With the biggest limitations and hidden dangers of swimming gone, what else does Feng Bingwen have to worry about?
He thrashed about in the shallow pond. He eventually discovered that, with his water-controlling abilities, he could move at will in the water no matter what position he was in—he didn't need to learn to swim at all.
"Huh!"
After testing his abilities in the water, Feng Bingwen noticed other anomalies. When he stood still at the deepest part of the pond, the fish that the villagers kept in the pond seemed to move closer to him.
"come over!"
Feng Bingwen stood in the water, his unbound black hair swaying like seaweed. He noticed the school of fish swimming around him, and with a flicker of his expression, he beckoned to a large blue carp.
The three-foot-long bluefish seemed to understand his words, its powerful tail slapping against the water as it swam towards Feng Bingwen.
"So obedient?"
Feng Bingwen was somewhat surprised, but also felt it was only natural. He reached out and touched the bluefish in front of him, his fingers touching the wet and sticky scales on the fish's body.
Instead of running away, the grass carp that was touched swam forward, letting Feng Bingwen's hand fall on it, just like a cat trying to please its master.
"That's interesting!"
Feng Bingwen's eyes lit up. Although the dragon pearl brought him many extraordinary changes, it did not bring about any substantial change to his current situation.
But this is different. Putting everything else aside, if he ever gets a craving or is short of meat, he can just swim around and bring fresh river fish ashore. He won't have to work hard fishing or catching them; he can just reach out and the fish will come up obediently.
"What a pity!"
Feng Bingwen released the big bluefish and then tried other fish. They all came when summoned and left when dismissed, extremely obedient.
But he hadn't forgotten that all the fish in the pond belonged to the village. If he took the fish home, the villagers would inevitably gossip.
"Let's go straight to Wolong Lake!"
After testing his abilities in the safe pond, Feng Bingwen was far from content. The pond, though several dozen acres in size, was indeed quite large, but it could not compare to the vast Wolong Lake.
Without hesitation, Feng Bingwen checked underwater to make sure no one was around the pond, then climbed ashore naked. He didn't even need to wash; all the water droplets slid off his body, leaving him completely dry.
After getting dressed, he first ran home to check on the two elderly people, who were both busy with their own things. After confirming that there was no major problem, he rushed towards the vast Wolong Lake.
Along the way, he encountered some acquaintances. After exchanging polite greetings, Feng Bingwen arrived at the shore of Wolong Lake. He then used the same trick again, finding a secluded corner where no one would notice him, taking off his clothes, and diving into the water.
"Hmm!"
This time was different from the past. As soon as he entered the water, Feng Bingwen couldn't help but let out a comfortable groan, his face showing an expression of bliss, almost reaching heaven.
hiss--
So comfortable!
After a while, Feng Bingwen finally got used to it and could clearly feel the watery spiritual energy flowing into his body!
He hadn't felt anything significant while in the pond, but now that he was in Wolong Lake, it was a completely different story.
