Chapter 14 The Art of Animal Creation

"grandfather!"

Seeing the old man fall in front of him, Feng Bingwen's eyes turned red instantly, and a surge of hot blood rushed to his head. He stepped forward, just about to fight the three men, when a handkerchief was placed over his face. A strange fragrance entered his nostrils, and he immediately felt dizzy and weak. He took another step and collapsed to the ground.

"Hey! This little guy's pretty brave!"

Seeing Feng Bingwen fall to the ground, a young man kicked him, then, under the old man's furious gaze, picked him up and walked away.

...

"Qi Laosi, are you even capable? You can't even handle such a little brat!"

Hearing the mocking words, Feng Bingwen groggily opened his eyes, feeling his head spinning as if it were about to explode, and his limbs feeling as heavy as lead, too heavy to lift.

But soon, memories from before he lost consciousness flooded his mind. Feng Bingwen forced himself to stay awake and tried to observe his surroundings. He turned his head and saw a seemingly honest-looking man wrapping a brightly colored dog skin around his body.

What do you want to do?

Enraged, Feng Bingwen instinctively raised his fist to punch the man in the face.

However, a cold, strange force seeped into the man's body from the dog skin he was holding, making his limbs heavy and unresponsive.

"Damn it, this little thing is too healthy, I can't change!"

The man holding the dog skin did not answer Feng Bingwen's question. He stood up, his face somewhat unpleasant, and threw the dog skin to the ground, seemingly feeling ashamed.

"Qi Laosi, if you can't handle it, just admit it. Why force yourself? Everyone knows your own worth."

A young man nearby started making a fuss.

"Stop talking nonsense. If it weren't for me, Qi Laosi, we wouldn't have been able to catch so many young animals this time."

Qi Lao Si's face was gloomy and full of resentment. He looked at Feng Bingwen beneath him, raised his leg and stepped on his chest. After examining his expression for a moment, he offered an explanation.

“This kid comes from a good family. He’s been well-fed and clothed since he was a child. He’s naturally stronger than these people and has a strong sense of righteousness. My animal creation technique is an evil technique. As the saying goes, evil can’t prevail over good, so I can’t do anything to him.”

"Come on, Qi Laosi, stop explaining. If your older brother came, he could turn even a strong man into an ox, let alone this little brat."

"Hehe, that's right. Don't you know who my older brother is? He's practically a demigod."

At this moment, the young man called Qi Laosi became smug.

"The art of animal creation!"

Originally filled with shock and anger and wanting to resist, Feng Bingwen listened to the conversation of these young men and forcibly calmed himself down. Anger could not solve the problems he was facing.

He looked around, not knowing where he was. The surroundings were all mountains, rocks and trees, with no sign of human habitation. They were resting for a while in a newly cleared open space.

Among these children, the donkey cart loaded with mutton dogs stood out. By now, Feng Bingwen naturally knew that the dogs on the donkey cart weren't real dogs, but people.

It was obvious that this was a group of kidnappers who possessed evil magic. That was why they could so brazenly abduct people and even leave unscathed during government searches.

"Stop talking nonsense, Fourth Brother Qi, let's think about how to deal with this kid first. He's too conspicuous!"

At this moment, someone pointed at Feng Bingwen, who could not be subjected to the animal creation technique.

"If we run into someone on the road later, and this kid just lets out a yell and gets noticed, we're doomed."

"That's easy, just pull out his tongue, then he won't be able to make a sound!"

Someone casually suggested something, but their seemingly innocuous words contained a cruel and inhumane intent.

"Did a dog eat your brain?!"

Upon hearing this suggestion, Qi Laosi stepped forward and kicked him in the buttocks, showing no kindness whatsoever.

"Think before you speak next time. This is a scholar's son, he eats fine rice. With his physique, he'd be losing money if sold for less than ten gold coins. If you cut off his tongue, he wouldn't even sell for ten silver coins."

"Wow, this kid's worth that much?"

Some of the children gasped in disbelief.

"Even if we sold all the livestock we captured this time, we might not even get ten gold coins!"

"You don't understand, do you? What's that called again? A scholarly family. Yes, this kid was born into a scholarly family. He's got a scholarly air about him. If we train him for a few years and send him to take the imperial examination, he can easily pass as a student. If he even passes as a scholar, what are ten gold coins?"

"Pah, Qi Laosi, you're kidding me. You think we're fools? You call yourself cultured? You're just the grandson of a poor, pedantic scholar."

The other young men thought this guy was talking nonsense. What a load of rubbish! Passing the imperial examination? He was just daydreaming.

"Besides, this kid is already so big, what family would be blind enough to buy him and raise him as their son? They'd never be able to tame him."

"You just don't understand, you bunch of ignorant bumpkins. If you don't believe me, someone else will."

Qi Laosi stubbornly insisted that Feng Bingwen could be sold for a high price because he was the one who made the decision and forcibly took him away in broad daylight.

"Even if no one wants to buy him as their son, it's fine. This kid is quite good-looking and has a strong physique. After a few years of training, there will be plenty of people willing to marry him off to their daughters!"

Several young men were laughing and joking as they discussed how to sell Feng Bingwen, while Feng Bingwen lay on the ground silently, watching these scumbags talk with cold eyes.

Ironically, he prayed to the heavenly book and received a red fruit from a bird, which made him strong, healthy, and full of vitality. After examining his pulse, the county's senior doctors all said that he was immune to all evil influences.

He was immune to the evil of ghosts and demons, but he was powerless against the evil in people's hearts.

Even if he can wrestle with an adult, so what? The evil magic that can turn a person into a beast cannot work on him, but a handkerchief soaked in a sleeping potion can easily knock him out.

"He's rested enough, time to hit the road. Let's knock this kid out, so he doesn't scream!"

As the sound faded, a fragrant handkerchief was once again placed over his mouth and nose, and Feng Bingwen was drugged again. Before he passed out, he vaguely saw the group of men putting a burlap sack over his body.

When he awoke again, he was in a cold, damp, dilapidated tile-roofed house, his whole body aching, as if he had been thrown to the ground like a piece of cargo.

Beside him were several children of similar age, dressed in dirty clothes with bruises and ice marks on their exposed garments.
