Chapter 123 Mermaid Land

The two talked for a long time, and finally Ye Xin could not resist anymore, so he had to give in and follow Shui Zhenzhen back to his tribe.

On the way home, Shui Zhenzhen changed her usual behavior and became nervous.

Ye Xin thought that she was too excited to go home and was about to tease her, but she saw Shui Zhenzhen hugging her arm and hiding behind her with her body huddled up.

She looked at Shui Zhenzhen and thought that if she didn't rely on her tail to swim, she would almost want to retract her tail.

"What's wrong, Zhenzhen? Why are you so nervous?" Ye Xin turned her head to look at Shui Zhenzhen, confusion flashing in her eyes. How could this person, who was fine just a moment ago, suddenly be shaking like this?

Shui Zhenzhen gritted her teeth and pointed at the school of fish swimming past above their heads.

Ye Xin looked up and saw a group of large gray sharks hunting not far from them. They chased a white puffer fish to a reef, then with a sharp fang, chopped the fish into pieces in just a few bites.

The red remains of flesh scattered among the fish, and Shui Zhenzhen hugged Ye Xin again in fear.

"So this is what you are afraid of! They are just a bunch of warmongers. Do you want me to go and get one for you?" Ye Xin touched his chin, thinking seriously about the feasibility of this plan.

Shui Zhenzhen shook her head in fear, repeatedly saying she didn't want to. "Sister Ye, forget it! My legs go weak just seeing them from afar, let alone being with them."

Ye Xin sighed regretfully and let these warmongers go unhappily.

"Okay! If you don't want it, forget it. Let's keep going!" She pulled the person out from behind, put him on the little girl's shoulder and asked him to continue leading the way.

The terrible feeling had passed. Shui Zhenzhen forced herself to cheer up and swam towards another reef.

She took Ye Xin into the reef, plucked the scales from its tail and put them in an empty space.

The space and the scales fit together tightly, and in a moment, the scales disappeared from their sight.

Shui Zhenzhen stretched out her right hand and pressed the small bump in the space. As the two of them stared at it, a wave of light appeared on the reef.

Ye Xin watched the scene with a grin on her face, feeling a little sorry for Shui Zhenzhen. Who would want to pluck scales when going home? If she did that every day, her tail would be bald!

Shui Zhenzhen took Ye Xin's hand and smiled at her, "Sister Ye, let's go in!" She swam her tail, touched the light waves with her bare hands, and pulled Ye Xin into her hometown that she had missed for a long time.

After the two of them went in, Guangbo continued to hide on the reef, waiting for the next mermaid to return home.

.......

The mermaids lived in seclusion in the deepest parts of the Endless Sea. They rarely ventured out, remaining mostly confined to their own territory. The mischievous ones would simply venture to the middle seas to play. Few mermaids, like Shui Zhenzhen, would venture out for six months without returning.

As soon as Shui Zhenzhen pressed the light wave, her mother knew she was back, so Zhenzhen's mother said goodbye to her friend and swam out of the barrier with anger.

As soon as Ye Xin and the others came out, they saw a pink mermaid holding a mace standing in front of them.

When Ye Xin saw that something was wrong, he pulled his hand out of Shui Zhenzhen's.

Shui Zhenzhen blinked her big eyes and tearfully accused her of being disloyal.

Ye Xin's eyes were wandering. He pretended that his attention was attracted by a small fish and turned his head to avoid her resentful gaze.

Shui Zhenzhen's heart choked, and she almost vomited blood. "Sister Ye, we clearly agreed to fight my mother together, so why did you cruelly abandon me at the critical moment?"

She had no choice but to force a smile and face her mother's anger alone.

"Mom, why did you come to pick me up in person? This is not like you!"

Zhenzhen's mother snorted coldly, reached out and grabbed Shui Zhenzhen's ear, squeezing it hard. "You still remember to come back? Where have you been for the past six months? I've almost searched the entire bottom of the ocean."

Shui Zhenzhen tilted her head and accepted the evil sound in her ears with a bitter smile.

"Mom, listen to my explanation. There is a reason why I didn't come back."

Zhenzhen's mother narrowed her eyes slightly, and her anger slowly subsided after Shui Zhenzhen explained the reason.

Seeing that Shui Zhenzhen did have a reason for what happened this time, she let her ears go. "You're still sensible. If you do it again, I won't let you off."

"Mom, of course I'm sensible. I've learned a lot in the six months I've been away." Shui Zhenzhen pulled Ye Xin, who was watching the fish, over and warmly introduced her to her mother. "Mom, this is Sister Ye Xin. She's a good friend I met outside."

Zhen Zhen's mother nodded and looked at Ye Xin with some surprise, "Spiritual Master?"

Ye Xin walked up to Zhen Zhen's mother and called her "Auntie" sweetly, "Yes, Auntie, my name is Ye Xin, and I'm a spiritualist."

Ye Xin called her auntie in a sweet voice, and Zhenzhen's mother instantly changed her mind. She held Ye Xin's hand and looked her up and down, her face almost broken with joy. "Good boy, now that you are here, treat it as your own home. Come on, come on, go home with your auntie and have some delicious food."

Ye Xin still maintained a decent smile and made a "yeah" gesture to Shui Zhenzhen without leaving any trace.

Three question marks popped up in Shui Zhenzhen's mind. She wondered if Sister Ye was too excited and what was going on when she pointed two fingers at her.

She followed suit and raised her finger towards Ye Xin. The difference was that she put her middle and index fingers together, just like she was swearing to the sky.

Ye Xin was amused, but she held back her laughter and followed Zhen Zhen's mother.

Zhen Zhen's mother didn't notice the two little girls' movements. She held one in each hand and swam towards their home. She was considerate of Ye Xin's inconvenience and deliberately slowed down her movements.

Seeing this, Ye Xin formed a spell with her fingers, letting the seawater behind her push her forward. With the help of the seawater, her speed was significantly faster.

Zhenzhen's mother looked at Ye Xin with admiration again, without saying much, but the amplitude of the swing of her tail increased greatly.

It didn't take long for the man and the two fish to swim before they arrived at their tribe's territory.

Because it's deep in the ocean, there's not much light here. The houses built by the mermaids are very unique. To make the homeland brighter, they use almost all brightly colored materials.

There are all kinds of gems on every house here. Under the illumination of these things, this place looks like dozens of big light bulbs are hung.

Before Ye Xin even got close, she was dazzled by the huge pearls on the roof. She closed her eyes and flipped a transparent cloth from the space.

She tied a piece of cloth behind her head with one hand so that she could look straight at the fairy-tale house in front of her.

Zhenzhen's mother didn't think about the problem with the house. When she saw Ye Xin looking uncomfortable, she didn't even have time to say hello to the neighbors. She pulled Ye Xin and swam into the house quickly.

Shui Zhenzhen ran to the corner and took out several fist-sized night pearls from a large box. She placed the night pearls in the four corners and then asked Ye Xin to remove the cloth strips.

"Sister Ye, are you feeling better now?"

Ye Xin closed her eyes first, then slowly opened them after she got used to the light in the house. She rubbed the red corners of her eyes and whispered a thank you to Shui Zhenzhen, "I feel better now. Thank you, Zhenzhen."

Zhenzhen's mother rummaged through boxes and found a scale she had tucked away in a corner. "Xinxin, stick this behind your ear. After that, you won't feel uncomfortable when you see the house outside."

Ye Xin also thanked Zhen Zhen's mother for her kindness and stuck the scales behind her right ear.
