"Meow~"
A howling white cat was slapped on the head. It was startled and lay down on the ground, looking at the person who came.
Ye Xin jumped down from mid-air, staring at it with two big dark circles under her eyes, "It's you! The little thing that has been crying all day and all night."
The white-haired cat crawled up from the ground, staring at Ye Xin with its blood-red eyes, and its four claws' nails grew wildly at this moment.
"Meow~ Meow~"
A cry even more unpleasant than before came out of the white-haired cat's mouth. It arched its body and kicked its legs to pounce towards Ye Xin.
It opened its mouth wide, and one could vaguely see the flesh and blood of some monster stuck between its teeth.
Ye Xin pinched her nose and slapped the white-haired cat away.
The white-haired cat failed in its first attack and quickly adjusted its body after landing, preparing to launch a second attack.
"Hey, remember to brush your teeth after eating, okay?"
She showed a look of disgust and pinched the white-haired cat that pounced in front of her.
The white-haired cat was strangled and its limbs were flailing in the air in panic.
It made a "hehe" sound in its throat and bit Ye Xin's palm.
"Bang bang!"
Two white objects flew out, the white-haired cat covered its mouth, and its tail drooped down behind it.
Ye Xin picked up the canine tooth that had broken off her clothes and held it in front of the white-haired cat. "Oh! The tooth fell out!"
The white-haired cat became excited when it saw the canine teeth. Its pupils suddenly dilated, and it hugged Ye Xin's arm with its four limbs and kicked her hard with its two hind legs.
This time it kicked Ye Xin fiercely, tearing several holes in her clothes.
"Hey, I gave you face, didn't I?" Ye Xin's face showed a hint of anger. She slapped the white-haired cat again, "I was just asking you a question! What on earth were you howling about all night?"
The white-haired cat didn't stop and continued to kick her arm, not even feeling the pain even when its claws bled.
Ye Xin sensed something was wrong and forcefully lifted the white cat's head.
The white cat's blood-red eyes lost focus, its pupils dilated, and it looked like it was dead.
Her face darkened and she let go of the white cat, letting it fall to the ground.
After landing, the white-haired cat continued to repeat this action endlessly. Ye Xin pursed her lips and manually took its life.
After it died completely, Ye Xin checked its body, but found that there was nothing unusual in its head, and there was not even any sign of being manipulated.
"Strange, this white-haired cat suddenly became like a puppet. Could it be that it ate something?"
She surrounded the body of the white-haired cat, hesitating whether to open its stomach.
But before she could do anything, the corpse on the ground turned transparent and disappeared before her eyes.
Ye Xin: “???”
She had a question mark look on her face. How could the corpse disappear? Was it recycled as nutrients?
She squatted down and touched the ground. The soil was dry and normal, and there was no white cat's fur. If it weren't for the bloodstains on her sleeves, it would be as if the cat had never existed.
Ye Xin called Xiaobai out, "Xiaobai, did you feel the spatial fluctuation just now?"
The scene suddenly changed, leaving Xiaobai, who was immersed in the delicious food, a little confused.
When it heard Ye Xin's words, it shook its body and said, "Chiligua, chiligua."
"You didn't feel it? What about you?" Ye Xin frowned, turned around and pulled Xingchen out again.
Xingchen was still chewing on a chicken wing. Seeing Ye Xin asking him, he shook his head reflexively, "Master, I didn't see it either."
Ye Xin rolled her eyes and waved her hand to let the two little guys go back.
There's really no point praising these two. Neither of them is helpful at the critical moment.
She stared at the spot where the body had disappeared, lost in thought. If there hadn't been any spatial fluctuations, where would the body have gone? Could it have truly melted into the ground?
She took out a shovel and started digging the hole with a grunt.
After she dug a meter deep, there was still no trace of the white-haired cat in the soil. She stopped, grabbed the edge of the pit and jumped out.
"Strange things happen every year, but this year they're especially numerous. Could the disappearance of corpses be a characteristic of this secret realm?"
Ye Xin couldn't figure out what was going on, so he temporarily put away the shovel and got on the flying carpet to leave.
She looked back at the pit in the air, her eyes flashing slightly, and she decided on this place.
For some reason, she always felt uncomfortable when she didn't see the corpse, as if she had let a potential disaster escape.
........
"Brother, run quickly."
Bai Yu covered his injured shoulder and staggered into the depths of the woods.
Behind her, a large group of gray wolves with red eyes were chasing after her.
Behind the gray wolf, there were many corpses lying on the ground, not only those of the wolves, but also the corpses of several spiritualists.
Looking at this miserable state, it seemed that the Baiyu team had experienced a great battle.
Their team was in a miserable situation. As soon as they came in, they confronted a pack of wolves. Luckily, they killed most of the wolves, but before they could catch their breath, they were suddenly counterattacked by the remaining wolves.
The fierce attack scattered these people, and they finally couldn't hold on and retreated.
Bai Yu had already run out, but saw that Chen Tong was seriously injured and could not escape. She gritted her teeth, rushed into the wolf's mouth and rescued Chen Tong.
Then she casually threw Chen Tong onto the gourd, cut her wound, and ran in the opposite direction.
She discovered that wolves would become particularly excited when they smelled blood, and only in this way could she win a chance of survival for her senior brother.
Bai Yu ran all the way into the depths of the woods. As she ran, she took out a handful of talismans. She didn't even look at what was on them and threw them all behind her.
"Bang, bang, bang, woooo, hahaha."
All kinds of strange noises were heard, and the wolves were temporarily blocked by these talismans.
Bai Yu began to speed up, sticking various acceleration talismans on his body, and disappeared in front of the wolves in a few seconds.
