Ye Xin finally found the place and smelled a strong smell of blood from a distance in the tunnel.
She quickened her pace and stepped into the cave. The first scene that caught her eye was Luo Shan lying at the door like a broken doll, and the sticky beast had long disappeared.
Ye Xin's eyebrows jumped and she rushed to Luo Shan to check her breath.
At this moment, Ye Xin still held a little hope in her heart. As long as Luo Shan still had a faint breath, she could rescue her.
But Ye Xin was desperate.
No matter how much she probed, Luo Shan didn't give her any response.
Ye Xin slowly let go of her hand, staring at Luo Shan with numb eyes. She apologized to Luo Shan repeatedly in a hoarse voice, "I'm sorry, I'm late. If only I could find you earlier..."
The hoarse voice became more and more choked, Ye Xin's eyes were red, veins on the back of his hands bulged, and energy fluctuations emanated uncontrollably from his body.
The cave could not withstand this force and began to collapse from the top. When the falling rocks were about to hit the two people, they were blocked outside by an invisible barrier.
After a while, the fallen rocks had filled the cave, leaving only an isolated area around Ye Xin.
The energy waves emanating from Ye Xin penetrated deeper into the ground, knocking the still-escaping Sticky Ni Beast over. The Sticky Ni Beast didn't dare to make a sound, swallowing a mouthful of blood foam before digging another hole and escaping.
At this time, Ye Xin was still immersed in self-blame and had no idea of the big commotion he had caused.
A tear rolled down her cheek.
The cold touch awakened Ye Xin, and she lowered her head and wiped the tears from her face.
Touching the crystal tears on her fingertips, Ye Xin was stunned for a few seconds.
She actually cried...
Ye Xin couldn't believe it. She had never cried before on Earth. It wasn't because she didn't feel bad, but because she simply couldn't cry.
Due to a congenital lack of emotion, Ye Xin was born without any emotions. Her parents initially believed she was autistic and took her to numerous checkups, but ultimately could not conclude she was ill.
The Ye family had no choice but to teach her personally what emotions a normal person should have.
After five years of trial and error, Ye Xin finally transformed from a silly child into a normal kid.
But the Ye family never taught Ye Xin how to cry.
After the five-year period was up, the Ye family could only let Ye Xin do as she pleased. It didn't matter if she didn't know what sadness was, their little baby didn't need this.
Now in a different world, a girl whom Ye Xin had only known for a few days actually made her cry for the first time.
Ye Xin smiled bitterly helplessly. A girl's withering made her learn to cry. It would be better not to have such a feeling.
Nan Zhi chased to the large platform outside the cave and met Ye Xin who was walking towards him.
Before she could even feel happy, she sensed the gloom in Ye Xin's heart. Nan Zhi paused in shock, her heart in her throat, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
Ye Xin came towards her, holding the person in her arms, and stopped about a meter away from Nan Zhi. "Nan Zhi, do you know where Luo Shan's hometown is?"
Nan Zhi's stiff face forced a smile, "Sister Xin, why are you asking me? You should ask Luo Shan! Wait until she wakes up and let her tell you herself!"
Ye Xin responded with a silent expression. Nan Zhi's smile slowly faded, and her voice became more and more choked up.
Big tears fell on the back of his hand, and his shoulders shrugged, which was so heartbreaking to see.
Nan Zhi couldn't believe it. It had only been less than an hour since they parted, how could this happen?
Luo Shan couldn't be in any trouble. She was the most powerful alchemist! She could heal everyone in their team, so how could she not be able to save herself?
Nan Zhi's suppressed emotions were now completely out of control. Tears blurred her vision and she knelt on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.
Nan Zhi covered her head in pain, unwilling to accept the fact that Luo Shan had passed away.
Ye Xin opened her mouth and wanted to say something, but looking at Nan Zhi's expression, she didn't know where to start with words of comfort.
"I swear, I will avenge Luo Shan. I will definitely avenge Luo Shan."
Ye Xin's cold tone gave Nan Zhi a little hope. She raised her head as if she had lost her soul, and her red eyes made Ye Xin's heart tremble.
Nan Zhi didn't know what to say. She knew she was useless. If Ye Xin didn't help, she might never be able to avenge Luo Shan.
After a few breaths, Nan Zhi managed to utter, "Sister Xin, thank you."
Nan Zhi sincerely thanked Ye Xin for her determination. Meeting you was the best decision she had ever made in her life.
Nan Zhi took Luo Shan's body and returned the same way without saying a word. She wanted to take Luo Shan home, back to her hometown that she had been longing for.
Ye Xin hid her emotions and looked towards the place where the sticky beast had fled. The aura around it felt so familiar to her.
......
"Look, Sister Xin and the others are back."
Mao Yi's surprised voice reached the ears of several people. Huang Wenjing jumped up with a start and struggled to run towards Ye Xin and the others.
With a beaming smile on her face, she excitedly stopped in front of Nan Zhi, "Sister Xin, Senior Sister, how is Senior Sister Luo? Is she okay?"
Huang Wenjing spoke as she looked at Luo Shan in Nan Zhi's arms. Seeing Luo Shan covered in blood, Huang Wenjing's heart clenched. It was all her fault. If she hadn't been so weak, Senior Sister Luo wouldn't have been so seriously injured.
"Senior Sister Luo, does it hurt? Open your mouth and I'll feed you some medicine."
Huang Wenjing took out the only earth-level pill she had and carefully fed it to Luo Shan's mouth, "Senior Sister, open your mouth quickly! The pain will go away after taking this pill."
