I turned off the air conditioner, left the bedroom, picked up some fruit, and went to room 503 next door.
The door was ajar. Gao Yan pushed it open and called out, "Sister Lin, I'm Xiao Gao from next door. May I come in?"
Wearing pajamas and an apron, Lin Xiumin came out of the kitchen and said with a smile, "No need to be so polite, come in, there are new slippers on the shoe rack."
"Okay, Sister Lin!"
After Gao Yan changed into slippers, he saw Lin Mo'er skipping out of the room: "Brother Gao Yan, you're here! You even brought a gift. Let me see what it is."
"Mo'er, don't be so rude! Quickly pour Brother Gao a glass of water!" Then she said to Gao Yan, "Xiao Gao, sit down for a while. There's only one soup left, and we can eat soon!"

Lin Xiumin then invited Gao Yan to sit down.
Lin Xiumin cooked four dishes and a soup tonight.
Gao Yan originally thought that a rich woman like Lin Xiumin would have mediocre cooking skills, but he was surprised to find that the dishes she made were quite delicious.
"Sister Lin, I never knew you were such a good cook!"
"Really? Then eat more!"
Lin Xiumin said with a smile.
"Then I won't stand on ceremony!"
Gao Yan responded and began to eat heartily.
In the end, more than half of the four dishes and one soup ended up in Gao Yan's stomach.
Lin Xiumin didn't mind at all; on the contrary, she was quite pleased.
Especially when she saw Gao Yan enjoying his meal, her appetite improved considerably.
After Gao Yan put down his chopsticks, he noticed that the mother and daughter were looking at him. He didn't feel embarrassed at all, but smiled and said, "Sister Lin, your cooking is so delicious that I couldn't help myself. Please forgive my poor cooking."
"It's alright. Seeing how much you enjoy your food makes us feel much better too!"
“Yes, Brother Gao Yan, I ate a third more than usual today!” Lin Mo’er nodded in agreement.
