"Brother Yan, you're here."
Cheng Hao greeted him warmly.
Hello, Gao Yan.
Tang Ye greeted him with a smile.
Gao Yan responded to Tang Ye and then started chatting with Cheng Hao.
However, Cheng Hao still had to entertain guests, so the two didn't chat for long.
He wasn't familiar with Tang Yubin, so he handed the gift box containing the jade bracelet to Cheng Hao to pass on.
Tonight's birthday dinner will be a buffet.

Gao Yan's arrival did not attract much attention. He took a glass of juice from the table, picked out some snacks, and went to a corner of the banquet hall to eat quietly.

After finishing his snacks, Gao Yan curiously looked around the entire banquet hall.
The guests in the hall were chatting in small groups.
The largest group of people were from Cheng Chunhui and Tang Yubin's side.
It's clear that the couple is very pleased with themselves, their faces beaming with pride.
Furthermore, Tang Yubin likes to use gestures to emphasize his words.
"To be honest, the reason why Brothers Hot Pot Restaurant has reached its current scale is largely thanks to my son."
Suddenly, Tang Yubin changed the subject: "If it weren't for his insistence on helping a poor classmate and spending 500,000 yuan to buy his hot pot base recipe, there wouldn't be Brothers Hot Pot Restaurant today. Upon hearing this, the people around praised Cheng Hao for not only having good judgment but also being kind and righteous, and for the good deeds that are rewarded.

At this point, a hint of sarcasm appeared on Tang Yubin's face.
The crowd also cooperated with Tang Yubin in continuously belittling Gao Yan.
Although they were more than ten meters apart and the banquet hall was quite noisy, Gao Yan still heard Tang Yubin's words clearly.
His expression immediately turned rather unpleasant!
"This Tang Yubin seems to harbor considerable hostility towards me?"
Gao Yan frowned, seemingly realizing he hadn't offended her.

Gao Yan considered a possibility; he had warned Cheng Guohao to be wary of any trickery from Yang Yujiang's side.
When Cheng Hao shared his analysis with his parents, they didn't take it to heart. In fact, most of them even hated him.

Suddenly I felt there was no point in staying here.
So he got up from his seat and walked out of the banquet hall.
Since Tang Yubin is already dissatisfied with him and harbors hatred, what's the point of staying? To continue listening to Tang Yubin's mockery?
If she weren't Cheng Hao's mother, Gao Yan would have made her wish she were dead based on those words alone.
"Brother Yan, where are you going?"
Seeing Gao Yan come out, Cheng Hao, unaware of the inside story, asked with a smile.
"I suddenly ran into some urgent business and have to rush off to take care of it. I'm sorry, Haozi, please apologize to your mother for me!"
He spoke in a calm and composed tone.
"Is it urgent?" Cheng Hao asked again.
"It's urgent!"
Gao Yan nodded seriously.
"Then let me see you off!" Cheng Hao stepped forward to catch up. "Hey, really, I was hoping to have a few drinks with you tonight!"
"Alright, go back now, you still have guests to entertain!"
Just then, the elevator arrived at this floor, and more guests arrived.
Cheng Hao quickly and warmly greeted them, "Uncle Wang, Uncle Ma, you've arrived! Please come in!"
Gao Yan waved to Cheng Hao and stepped into the elevator.
After escorting the guests into the banquet hall, Cheng Hao returned to the door.
"Xiao Hao, I feel something's off about Gao Yan's sudden departure!" Tang Ye said thoughtfully.
"No way, didn't he have to leave in an emergency?"
Cheng Hao frowned slightly: "He wouldn't be upset that I neglected him, would he? But probably not, Brother Yan isn't that petty!"
"Okay, I'll go in and inquire!"
Tang Ye entered the banquet hall and then asked two waiters. He learned that Gao Yan had not received a phone call before leaving.
This only deepened her suspicions.
Filled with doubt, she approached her second aunt and uncle, who were surrounded by a crowd. Upon hearing what her second aunt was saying, Tang Ye's expression immediately changed.
Because her second aunt is still mocking Gao Yan.
"Could it be that Gao Yan chose to leave because he heard what his second aunt said?"
But Gao Yan was clearly a long distance away from his aunt, so he couldn't possibly have heard what she was saying, right?
Thinking about this...
She decided to check the surveillance footage from the banquet hall.
Thanks to Tang Ye's methods, the hotel quickly agreed to her request to view the surveillance footage.
Her main attention was focused on Gao Yan.
She watched the video of Gao Yan leaving several times and found that after Gao Yan finished eating the dessert, he looked around the entire banquet hall and suddenly his expression changed.
He then frowned and got up to leave.
"It seems Gao Yan must have heard what Second Aunt said!"
Tang Ye sighed softly.
Knowing that her second aunt had completely offended Gao Yan, she had originally hoped to use this dinner to try and build a relationship with him.
After all, the price of jadeite continues to rise.
