Chapter 708 Making a Bet with Old Xu

"Okay, it's a deal!"

"Let's begin!"

Gao Yan threaded an earthworm onto a fishhook and threw it into the ice hole.

Five minutes passed in the blink of an eye.

Let alone giant fish, even ordinary fish didn't bite the hook.

"Xiao Gao, it looks like you're going to lose this bet today!" Old Xu said with a smile. He had already decided that after the kid lost, he would transfer him to the Ministry of Metallurgy. It was such a waste to keep such a talent in the steel rolling mill.

"Only five minutes have passed, what's the rush? Perhaps the giant creature is on its way!"

Upon hearing this, Old Xu chuckled.

"Okay, I'll wait!"

Two more minutes passed, and Gao Yan felt that it was almost done.

He began by using his mental power to pull a giant creature over, and then put the fishhook into its mouth.

"They're here!"

Gao Yan feigned a surge of energy and suddenly pulled on his fishing rod.

Instantly, he pulled a huge creature weighing over thirty kilograms out of the ice cave!

"Wow, he really is the King of Fishing! He's caught another giant!"

People around saw this and rushed over to watch the excitement. Old Xu's expression stiffened slightly. He didn't expect that this kid would actually catch a giant. But it was good that the bet was two giants. He didn't believe that this kid was so lucky that he could catch one!

But Lao Xu was destined to be disappointed.

Less than ten minutes after the first giant was hooked.

Gao Yan then pulled up an even bigger creature in full view of everyone, probably weighing no less than 40 kilograms.

"How's Lao Xu?"

Gao Yan said with a smile.

Seeing the smile on Gao Yan's face, Old Xu immediately realized that he had been tricked by this kid. However, he was not a sore loser: "Fine, I lost, but you have to sell me this fish?"

"You're the leader, I can't let you make mistakes. I'll charge you 40 yuan for this fish, but you have to give me a receipt!"

"Fine, forty it is!"

Old Xu was quite decisive and bought the giant for forty yuan!

And the other one.

Gao Yan then sold it to another fisherman for 35 yuan.

"Xiao Gao, tell me, what kind of job do you want?"

"It's not for me, it's for my wife. We just need someone with an easy job, the salary doesn't matter!" Gao said.

"Okay, wait for my news. I'll get it done for you in two days at most!"

"Thanks!"

In the next half hour, Gao Yan caught two more fish.

However, it seemed that his luck had run out, as he only caught two crucian carp weighing less than a pound each. So, he simply packed up and left.
