“Compassion? Ha, you dare to talk to me about compassion? Hanchan Temple, the Great Wisdom Monk, Maitreya Buddha… none of them will escape!” Cao Yahan said in a cold voice. Suddenly, he clenched his right hand, and the void exploded. With a loud bang, half of the sky seemed to collapse.
"Ah!!!" The little novice monk screamed in terror. Before he could even beg for mercy, he was crushed into powder by Cao Ya's angry attack. His Dharma body collapsed and shattered like a rotten watermelon. He died a violent death, leaving behind a mutilated corpse. He didn't even last a breath.
Everyone nearby just stared blankly, a sense of joy and pleasure swirling within them.
"Not enough," Cao Ya whispered, her eyes icy cold.
How could killing the dragon who was the direct culprit and the young novice who was the indirect culprit be enough?
That Hanchan Temple, that wise monk, and Maitreya Buddha sitting deep behind the scenes... all these monks deserve to die!
Cao Ya knew that his power, at the peak of the Celestial Immortal realm, was insufficient to contend with Maitreya Buddha, a great supernatural being. However, the world in the Middle Ages had undergone tremendous changes after the fall of the Heavenly Court, the chaos of demons on the earth, and the reign of the Human Emperor. Cao Ya did not believe that Maitreya Buddha would dare to appear in the world.
In particular, the time when the Overlord will fall, Ananda will sink into depravity, and the Demon Buddha will be born, thus triggering a cataclysmic calamity!
If he makes a move against Higanbana-ji, the real danger is not in the present, but in the future!
After the final tribulation arrives, Maitreya Buddha returns. How could he not seek revenge?
But Cao Ya was fearless!
I have no regrets!
Some things just have to be done by someone!
Furthermore, Cao Ya's cultivation level is already formidable enough, and he is confident that in the coming decades he will achieve legendary status, even break through the barriers of creation, and stand on equal footing with Maitreya Buddha.
Of course, simply being on equal footing is not enough!
Cao Ya's goal is to kill Maitreya Buddha with a single sword strike!
"If I can't kill you now, I'll kill all your disciples and followers. They're a bunch of troublemakers anyway, it'll be better if they all die." Cao Ya's killing intent was intense.
Why not raz a temple like Hanchanji that treats human life like dirt?
Every extra day it exists is an insult to life!
Cao Ya took a deep breath, flicked his sleeves, and a misty light disintegrated the little monk's remains. His magical power returned to the world, merging into this area just like the remains of the dragon, increasing the concentration of spiritual energy. The Dao principles were revealed for a moment, nourishing the world.
"Only slightly stronger than a human immortal realm dragon, truly trash." Cao Ya shook his head. The corpse of the little novice monk in the earth immortal realm had a nourishing effect on the surrounding area that was only slightly better than that of a human immortal realm dragon.
What a disgrace to be a celestial being!
Although the dragon is extraordinary and has a special bloodline, and among those of the same realm, human warriors would find it difficult to contend with it in terms of blood and physical strength alone, it is still a major realm ahead.
As Cao Ya reinforced the riverbed and saw many dead humans, his mood sombered, and his murderous intent towards Hanchan Temple intensified.
Cao Ya thought for a moment, then took out the Reincarnation Seal and used the "Six Paths of Reincarnation Heavenly Technique" to forcibly send the unjustly deceased to reincarnation.
"I hope they will all find good families in the future," Cao Ya said softly.
He then activated the laws to repair the land. The wood-elemental laws swirled, and the crops, which had been submerged by the flood and were almost dead, were revived within minutes, regaining their vitality.
As for the repair of houses and the reconstruction of towns, the victims themselves have to do the work.
It's impossible for Cao Ya to be perfect.
But all those affected by the disaster are infinitely grateful to Cao Ya.
Their eyes were filled with gratitude as they looked at Cao Ya.
Even the many martial artists who came to provide disaster relief were no exception.
They even developed a fear of force!
"Greetings, senior." The crew of outsiders came over, showing great respect.
Seeing injustice on the road and drawing one's sword to help is already chivalrous enough. But when faced with the threat from the monks of Hanchan Temple, this senior remained calm and even killed the Hanchan Temple's mount, the dragon, and the monks in two moves. How could they not admire such chivalry?
Strength in terms of military force is secondary.
This is different from the martial artists below the exterior view.
Cao Ya, however, questioned himself, wondering if he could compare to these martial artists in terms of chivalry alone.
"Don't worry, I've taken over the threat from Hanchan Temple. You can focus on disaster relief, organizing manpower to repair houses and rebuild villages and towns." Cao Ya said, then walked away, not wanting to see the disaster victims being grateful to him.
At this moment, all living beings, whether ordinary people, martial artists, or even the few outsiders, stood still, solemnly watching Cao Ya depart, their hearts filled with gratitude.
“This senior is a true eminent monk! He deserves to be enshrined in a temple.”
"Damn it! The senior saved us, but we were so focused on ourselves that we forgot to thank him and ask him anything. We still don't know his name."
"I don't know what name to carve on the memorial tablet for this senior in the future."
...
The group spoke with considerable regret.
"Alright! Since the senior is unwilling to reveal his name, we will keep our gratitude in our hearts and pray that he will attain enlightenment and become a Buddha or patriarch." An old man clapped his hands, attracting everyone's attention, and said loudly, "The most urgent task now is the reconstruction of the village, otherwise we won't even have a place to live!"
Hearing this, the other outdoor crew members nodded in agreement.
"Fortunately, with the help of our seniors, all our hidden health problems have been eliminated. We are full of energy and in excellent health, and we no longer have to worry about ailments such as colds, which has relieved us of a great worry."
"The crops have also recovered, and this year's harvest has not been affected."
“Even the dead…you all saw it just now, right? Their souls appeared, bewildered, and went to be reincarnated.”
"Is that Dharma seal the legendary object?"
"The Seal of Reincarnation?!"
...
The outdoor crew quickly assigned tasks, each leading a group of people to build houses, resettle disaster victims, or allocate food and supplies.
Meanwhile, Cao Ya left the great river far away, leaving a faint imprint to prevent Hanchan Temple from sending monks to bring disaster again. He could then descend instantly to stop it.
Suddenly, a thought struck him, and he stopped on a high mountain, waiting quietly.
Buzz~~~
A few seconds later, several beams of light descended and transformed into six monks, their skin shimmering with a subtle, metallic sheen; they were either bodhisattvas or arhats.
The six monks stared coldly at Cao Ya, but made no move.
Cao Ya didn't rush to make a move. He stood with his hands behind his back, looking at the sky with a calm expression but a chilling gaze.
"So it is Cao Ya Luohan in person. I wonder why you are opposing my Hanchan Temple?"
Before anyone knew it, a great Bodhisattva, whose body was clear and bright, and whose color was like the pure moon, sat atop the white clouds. He was none other than the wise and holy monk!
