Chapter 351 Extra: Su Qian (1)

"A-Qian, run!"

"Mother, I can't run anymore."

"Run." Yu Zhou seemed not to hear Su Qian's words and urged her to run away.

But she herself faced the enemy's swords head-on.

Su Qian ran forward crying, not knowing what had happened or why she and her daughter had suddenly fallen into such a predicament.

She grew up by her mother's side, watching her mother fight off invaders time and time again and protect their universe.

People from other universes call them gods.

Every person in their universe will be reborn as a new universe after they die.

Driven by self-interest, they are constantly at war.

The mother was the Goddess of War among the gods, who once led a thousand men to resist the attacks of invaders.

But one day, they were suddenly driven away and hunted down by their own people.

It's been ten years. She grew up being hunted down, and each time they narrowly escaped death. She thought this time would be no different.

But she was also facing enemies, and her strength was exhausted; she might really be unable to run anymore.

Even though she knew that people were chasing her.

Her movements grew increasingly stiff. Another knife came flying at her. She turned around with difficulty but couldn't dodge it. She heard her mother shout, "My little Ashen!"

She didn't know what had happened. When she woke up, she was lying in space, drifting aimlessly.

"Mother." Su Qian sat up groggily, looking around at the empty and deserted surroundings.

She panicked, stood up, and searched everywhere for her mother. She searched every corner of the universe, but could not find her mother.

She wanted to leave, to search in other universes.

But slowly, she realized that she couldn't leave.

She got bored and started sitting down to play with the mud.

She molded the clay into the likenesses of her mother and herself, seeing how lonely those days were.

She spent her days doing nothing, running around everywhere. Gradually, she noticed changes in the universe; some planets spontaneously combusted.

From then on, the sun and moon came into being.

She watched the sun rise and set every day. In these boring days, she discovered a tiny insect, and later, she discovered many other things.

The rocks turned into sand, and moss grew in the sand.

Gradually, this universe came to have many kinds of animals and plants.

But her mother was still not there.

"My little Asahi, your mother can't hold on any longer. You must take good care of yourself from now on."

It was her mother's voice. Su Qian stood up and began searching everywhere, but she couldn't find her mother. She shouted, "Mother, where are you?"

Do you remember the story I told you before?

We are descendants of God, and after we die, we will become the universe.

As time goes by, countless universes perish, yet people still need a place to live.

That's why we're being hunted down.

My little Asahi, you must never leave this universe. As long as you stay here, no one will be able to find you.

Her words were urgent, as if she were simply giving her last words.

"Mother, where are you going? Don't you want A-Qian anymore?"

The universe remained silent for a long time before saying, "How could your mother not want you? It's just that your mother is now the world you live in, and my physical body has transformed into this universe."

In the future, your mother will no longer be able to talk to you or accompany you as you grow up.

But I will always be by your side.

"Mother, how could this happen?"

"Mother, is there really no other way for us?"

"Mother, I'm scared."

No matter how much Su Qian cried out, no one responded to her; the universe was truly dead.

Su Qian was in despair. She sat on the ground every day, watching the small animals pass by her, until one day, she saw the woman who looked just like her mother.

The woman spoke their language, but was not as intelligent as her mother; she was like a savage.

She saw Su Qian and they were very intimate.

Su Qian took her along and played with her on Su Xing every day. She taught her how to start a fire and cook food.

Their relationship grew closer, and Su Qian thought that her mother had returned and they could live happily together.

One day, the woman suddenly fell asleep and refused to get up no matter how much Su Qian called her.

Su Qian panicked. She tried everything she could, but in the end, she had to accept the fact that the woman was dead.

Fearing loneliness, she sculpted many more little figures, watching them come to life. They brought her joy, but also pain.

She watched them die one by one.

She knew about death; all the invaders she had defeated in the past would die.

Now, watching her friend die, she is so heartbroken and lonely.

From then on, she lay on the ground every day, watching them work, and no longer helped in any way.

They grew increasingly distant from her; they had forgotten who she was.

She watched them being born, procreate, and die.

As they continued generation after generation, they learned more and more, and they developed their own language, writing system, and technology.

They are doing well.

But she was still very lonely.

“You want to kill them, don’t you?” One day, a voice said this in her ear.

This is her own voice.

"No," she denied.

"Yes, but they don't play with you anyway, so what's the point of keeping them around?"

That business deal is still enticing people.

Su Qian knew there was something wrong with her body. "Who are you?"

"Me?" The voice chuckled softly for a moment before saying, "Aren't I you?"
