Chapter 11 Bet

Liu Xiaoyuan dared not delay and immediately used fast forward.

Soon, a furtive figure appeared inside the house, holding a flathead screwdriver. The figure walked to the door of the parents' room, immediately using force to remove a large piece of wood from the door frame near the lock, then used the screwdriver to pry open the door, and went inside.

Upon closer inspection, Liu Xiaoyuan realized that the man was Liu Jun from the village.

Liu Jun is two years younger than Liu Xiaoyuan. He dropped out of junior high school and started working in the community, becoming a local bully. Liu Jun's father, Liu Songyan, is on good terms with Liu Haimin, and the two families have a fairly good relationship.

After Liu Jun entered the room, he immediately went to the bedside, picked up the pillow on the bed, felt it a few times, found nothing there, and then threw the pillow on the ground.

Then, Liu Jun lifted the sheet and found nothing underneath. He cursed, "Poor bastard!"

After not finding any money on the bed, Liu Jun stood in the room for a moment, then walked to the wardrobe, opened it, and threw out all of his mother's neatly arranged clothes.

Then, he rummaged through the wardrobe again. Suddenly, a look of joy flashed across Liu Jun's face. He pulled out a wad of banknotes wrapped in a red plastic bag.

Liu Jun excitedly opened the red plastic bag and clenched his fist when he saw the old and new hundred-yuan bills inside.

After his initial excitement subsided, Liu Jun stuffed the money into his pocket and left the room.

After returning home, Liu Jun immediately hid the money under his pillow and then strolled around the village as if nothing had happened.
