After joking around for a while, Zhang Weiming walked into the hotel with his head down, completely lacking his usual swagger, as if he had a green field on his head.

Upon arriving at the company, Zhang Weiming went to find the general manager, who then gave him a severe dressing-down.
After being thoroughly berated, Zhang Weiming asked what had happened. The general manager then questioned Zhang Weiming about whether he was negotiating a business deal with Chaoqiang Company.
This super-powerful company is the small company that Wang Chao's father owns.
Zhang Weiming said yes, and then asked if there was a problem.
The general manager glared at Zhang Weiming fiercely. "You still have the nerve to ask if there's a problem? You've ruined my life!"
The general manager received a call from headquarters, saying that the chairman already knew about the matter and that if Zhang Weiming didn't kneel down and beg Chaoqiang Company to sign the order, he would lose his position as general manager.
Although he didn't know exactly what had happened, the general manager, having risen to his current position, could immediately guess the gist of the matter.
There must be someone at Superpower Company who knows the chairman, or someone close to the chairman, and that's how the matter got to the chairman.
Once he understood this, the general manager immediately called Zhang Weiming and told him to come back right away.
"Go find someone from Chaoqiang Company right now and get this contract signed," the general manager said to Zhang Weiming.
Zhang Weiming was completely dumbfounded. What was going on? Had Wang Chao bribed the general manager? No wonder the general manager had called him back in such a hurry and given him a good scolding. So that's what happened.
"Okay, General Manager, I'll go sign it right away!" Zhang Weiming was a sensible man. Since the General Manager had gotten involved in this matter, he must have gotten something out of it. If he didn't know what was good for him, his position as Business Director would be in jeopardy.
"Remember, if anyone from Superpower Company makes things difficult for you, even if you have to kneel down, you must make them sign the contract," the general manager ordered.
"What?!" Zhang Weiming thought he had misheard. What the hell? The customer is always right, and in this deal with Super Power Company, they are the ones in charge.
"General Manager, are you sure you're not mistaken?" Zhang Weiming asked cautiously.
The general manager slammed his hand on the table and said, "I'm not mistaken. If you don't sign this order contract with Chaoqiang Company today, you're fired!"
Upon hearing this, Zhang Weiming thought to himself, "You, General Manager, have received benefits from Super Strong Company, but you don't have to make things difficult for me like this. If I don't want to work here, I don't want to be treated like this."
"General Manager, if that's how you put it, then I won't do it. You can accept the benefits from Super Strong Company, but please don't make things difficult for me like this." Zhang Weiming directly confronted the general manager.
Upon hearing Zhang Weiming's words, the general manager became enraged and grabbed the documents on the table, throwing them at Zhang Weiming. He yelled, "Zhang Weiming, do you think I took bribes from Chaoqiang Company? You're a fucking pig! If I had taken bribes from Chaoqiang Company, I would have signed the contract with them myself. Do you think I, a general manager, am less important than a business director like you?"
"Let me tell you plainly, this is headquarters' order. If you don't sign this contract today and I lose my job, believe me, I'll kill you!"
Zhang Weiming is now terrified. He doesn't know how headquarters found out about this. Furthermore, the general manager said he would kill him if he didn't complete the task.
Zhang Weiming knew that this general manager was a local and not someone to mess with. Killing him would be bad enough, but crippling him would be a piece of cake.
For the sake of his own life and his livelihood, Zhang Weiming had no choice but to sign the contract with Wang Chao like a grandson.
"Oh dear! Mr. Zhang, what's wrong with you? You look like your wife has run off with someone else." Seeing Zhang Weiming like this, Wang Chao felt relieved.
Damn it, you used to act like a big shot, now it'll be your turn to act like a grandson.
Zhang Weiming was furious. He wanted to turn around and leave, but when he thought about his livelihood and his life, he had no choice but to swallow his anger.
"Mr. Zhang, I heard you're here to sign a contract with us?" Liu Xiaoyuan asked.

After saying that, Zhang Weiming immediately took out the contract from his briefcase and said with a smile, "Mr. Wang, this is the contract. Please take a look. If there are no problems, please sign it. Then we will be partners again."
Wang Chao picked up the document, glanced at it, and then tossed it back onto the glass table in front of him, saying, "Mr. Zhang, I suddenly don't want to sign this contract anymore."
After saying this, Wang Chao crossed his legs, looking every bit the playboy.
Zhang Weiming immediately realized that this was a deliberate attempt to make things difficult for him.
"Mr. Wang, are you joking?" Zhang Weiming asked with a smile.
Wang Chao shook his head and said, "I'm not joking. Do I look like I'm joking?"
Liu Xiaoyuan seized the opportunity to say, "Mr. Zhang, your memory seems to be a bit poor. I told you on the phone this morning that I wanted you to kneel in front of us with the contract so we could sign it. Tell me, as a man, if you don't keep your word, are you even a man?"
Zhang Weiming knew he had no choice but to kneel today, so he gritted his teeth and knelt down. He had no other option; for his life and his livelihood, he had to do it.
