Chapter 9 Dad's Analysis

In front of his mother, Liu Xiaoyuan didn't want to ask about the lost money, lest it remind her of her painful past and make her even more upset. After comforting his mother for a few moments, Liu Xiaoyuan stood up and said to her, "Mom, I'll go help Dad finish the housework."

After leaving the room and entering the kitchen, Liu Xiaoyuan asked, "Dad, have you called the police?"

Dad sighed, shook his head, and said, "We called the police, but what's the use? I guess the case won't be solved, and we can forget about getting the money back."

Liu Xiaoyuan comforted him, "Dad, we must trust the police!"

My dad gave a wry smile and didn't say anything. It was clear that he had given up hope of the police solving the case.

"Dad, do you have any leads on this?" Liu Xiaoyuan asked.

Dad shook his head, looking dejected, and said, "No, there aren't any clues!"

Liu Xiaoyuan could tell that the 10,000 yuan was a huge blow to his father, but as the pillar of the family, his father endured it and kept his tears to himself.

“By the way, Xiaoyuan, I think this was definitely done by someone from the village, and someone they know.” Dad suddenly said.

Upon hearing this, Liu Xiaoyuan's eyes lit up, and he quickly asked, "Dad, what exactly is going on?"

Liu Haimin analyzed, "Xiao Yuan, this short-lived bastard who stole money from home only broke into the room where your mother and I sleep, and only searched the wardrobe and bed. It's clear that this person must be someone we know!"

Hearing his father's analysis, Liu Xiaoyuan felt it made perfect sense. It seemed that the thief was someone he knew!
