Chapter 599 "He really... looks like you..."

Ye Ran stared blankly at the suddenly appearing Zhuge Shan.

A flicker of surprise and inexplicable warmth crossed his eyes: "Long time no see..."

Ye Ran himself was somewhat surprised when he said those words.

Then, smiling, he continued:

"Come to think of it, it seems like I haven't seen you since I broke through to the transcendent realm..."

Hearing Ye Ran's words, Zhuge Shan looked embarrassed, waved his hand, and explained:

"It's fate, really. Ever since you broke through to the extraordinary realm and created this Divine Consciousness Continent, I've suddenly gained new insights from it."

"So I've been staying here, diligently seeking enlightenment. If it weren't for this sudden turn of events today, I probably wouldn't have woken up so quickly..."

Then, Zhuge Shan looked up at the devastating, world-ending scene around him. The sounds of collapse continued, the heavens and earth wailed, and the sun and moon seemed to be falling.

He muttered to himself:

"Looks like you're in pretty much trouble..."

"Congratulations on your insight, senior."

After Ye Ran finished speaking to Zhuge Shan,

Looking at this apocalyptic scene, a trace of desolation appeared on his face, and he said softly:

"It's truly a pity... This Divine Consciousness Continent is shattered, and the trend of collapse is so great that it's irreversible..."

At this point, Ye Ran seemed to remember something.

He paused for a moment, then turned his gaze from the distance to Zhuge Shan.

"Does the senior have any other place to stay?"

Zhuge Shan frowned slightly: "What do you mean by this???"

Ye Ran smiled nonchalantly:

"Judging from this situation, I'm probably going to die. This place should be destroyed soon..."

Then, Ye Ran stretched out his palm, and a faint wisp of light gathered at his fingertips.

Although the light was dim, it still stubbornly flickered:

"I still have a sliver of strength left. If you need me, senior, I will do everything in my power to help you settle in properly..."

As soon as he finished speaking,

Another violent tremor shook the area, and the distant mountains collapsed instantly, raising towering dust clouds.

Ye Ran's figure swayed, but the light at his fingertips remained steady...

Listening to what Yanran said,

Zhuge Shan was stunned, a multitude of emotions surging within him:

"Even at this point, you're still thinking about others???"

At this moment, Ye Ran wore a carefree smile, his eyes clear, showing no trace of melancholy.

"Since I'm going to die anyway, I might as well do my part for everyone one last time..."

At this moment,

Zhuge Shan stared at Ye Ran, his expression dazed.

It was as if through Ye Ran I saw another towering figure.

That familiar demeanor, that unchanging heart, made him murmur involuntarily:

"Is that you??? You're back..."

"Senior, what did you say?"

Ye Ran asked, puzzled, his body trembling slightly as his spiritual world continued to collapse.

Zhuge Shan took a deep breath and calmed himself down: "It's nothing..."

Then, he walked up to Ye Ran.

He patted Ye Ran on both shoulders, like an elder looking at a younger member of the family, and said:

"Kid, you're still young, you have plenty of time to squander, and plenty of wonderful things to explore..."

Ye Ran was taken aback, looking at Zhuge Shan in confusion: "What do you mean by this, Senior???"

"What's the meaning??"

Zhuge Shan chuckled, "You're so smart, how come you're being so confused now?"

Hearing Zhuge Shan say this,

Ye Ran sighed and shook his head:

"I appreciate your kind offer, senior, but I think it's best to decline..."

Zhuge Shan looked at Ye Ran and asked, "What? You don't want to accept my favor?"

Ye Ran smiled:

"I suppose so. Although I, Ye Ran, am not exactly a paragon of virtue, I still cannot accept others sacrificing themselves for me..."

"Secondly, senior, even if you were to be sacrificed, the collapse of the Divine Soul Continent might be irreversible..."

As Ye Ran spoke, he turned to look at Zhuge Shan and shook his head:

"Senior, it's not worth it to drag you down with me, someone who's practically already had half his body taken by the King of Hell..."

“Hey…kid.” Zhuge Shan interrupted Ye Ran.

"What do you mean by accepting or not accepting sacrifice? When you risked your life to confront a top-tier family for your disciple, despite your lowly position, did you think about this? When you risked your life to fight that mechanical monster for the sake of those people in the military, did you think about this? When you fought against the four great Western supernatural powers, did you think about these things?"

"The world is reciprocal. When you are filled with malice towards the world, the whole world becomes your enemy. When you treat the world kindly, the world will unexpectedly reciprocate..."

Zhuge Shan pointed at Ye Ran and said, word by word,

"Live well!!"

"But senior..."

Ye Ran opened her mouth as if to say something,

But he found his mouth restricted by an inexplicable force, and he couldn't open it no matter how hard he tried.

At this moment, he looked at his mouth in surprise, then looked up at Zhuge Shan.

Zhuge Shan grinned at Ye Ran:
